Could be that your plastic is getting ripped up by small fish. Try sizing down to something smaller and see if that helps. You could also add scent to your soft plastics.
Just bought a new TFO 6' 6" Panfish II one piece (still waiting for it to come in the mail). Gonna pair it up with a Shimano Stradic. Killer! I also use Mule jigs, etc., as well as Trout Magnet / Crappie Magnet lures mostly. I also live in NC. Moved here a couple of years ago. About 30 minutes South of Raleigh. I subbed
I just hook on a tiny trout hook and a tiny piece of a worm and the bluegill love it
I'm a fan of worm fishing too, but if you're looking for plastics. These are great!

you caught some nice ones. thanks for the video man 👍
Thank you for watching!
I have had by far the best bite ratio with high-low rig with anything on the hook.
@@peterpete3125 this works awesome for that too!
That’s a nice colorful bluegill
The colors on the bluegill in here are incredible
I never fished before and I'm going out to try. Any tips? I really want to catch something!

Ain’t that the truth. Been itching to get a good session in.
Hopefully you can get out there soon!
How can I or where can I buy some of those lures? Me and my son started fishing for the first time together
Hey Chris! You can pick some up using the link in my description! They just stocked back up for the season too so it's a good time to pick some up!
Could you point out which hook and donkey tail to use. I’ll be purchasing really soon
Do the donkey tails have small weights in them or do I need a wait? Really new to this. Thank you sir. Huge fan btw

I don’t understand using bluegill for bait. Nothing you can catch on bluegill tastes as good.
Some people fish for fun.

You know nobody there eats bluegill when they grow up to be palm size or bigger.
It's a residential pond, so it has a lot of runoff from the lawns around. Full of fun fertilizer and chemicals. Eat at your own risk 🤷🏻♂️
