This helps so much I’ve never been able to find a video where someone’s explaining how to draw accessories . I’ve never bothered drawing accessories using my art style because it’s so sharp in blocky.
AAA THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS!!! I got that commission of clover with the leg warmers lol. I’ve been working on doing better accessories and I’m soooo excited to watch all of this while I draw! Most of my ocs have either a scarf or some type of jewelry and I’m just here to thank you for putting out these blessed videos every week Cyprus! ❤️❤️
omg cyprus im so happy i get to be in time for one of your videos! anyway, your art tutorials have helped me improve my art style a LOT in the past year. im eternally grateful to you and your tutorials, and i dont think im exaggerating at all! thank you.
I love this sm! Your DnD video is probably my favorite one you're ever made, mainly because of the creativity and the accessories on the dragons. One thing I would love to see is a video like this but with natural accessories, like woven vine bracelets, flower crowns, and stuff like that.
One thing I've noticed if you're looking for the name of a specific piece of weaponry or something, or just browsing different types is that wikipedia has a list called "list of premodern combat weapons" which along with having stuff from all over the world, also has a ton of different variants that can be fun to explore.
This is probably the MOST helpful video you have made. I’ve been wanting to give all of my characters some accessories, so I’ll be watching this as many times as it takes to get all this information stuck in my brain!! The way you color metal is ✨magical ✨, it always ends up perfect! And the leather and belt section was super helpful for me!! Thanks for another awesome video, Cyprus!
this really helped explained how to make accessories and the best part is i can use this tutorial to draw accessories on other things like animals and humans ( after you talked about types of armor I was curious to see more so now I'm in a rabbit hole of medieval armor so thank you )
That made me think that dragon tribes usally not using much of armor, maybe some for guards or important persons, but imagine if any tribe would make paladin-like armor for their strongest warrior, armor so heavy so they couldn't fly, but so strong so fire and blades would be useless... how do you fight literall fire breathing steel berserk?
:0 this will be really helpful for later tysm! I’ll definitely search up some fabric tutorials. For the gold earrings and necklaces, I colour just the lineart but only use a base colour and highlights colour. I use Pinterest to find moodboards (or to make them) but I’ll check out some references.
I just got an idea- A string/rope necklace with a small jar pendant that has a firefly in it :D Very simple, but cute! I'm deffo gonna use it for a HiveWing oc :> And Ig it's time for me to go ahead and scroll through Pinterest
With the jewelry thats kinda hanging, there could be a "hard to see" line of thread holding it together, like how a lot of necklaces and bracelets are.
Oh also Cyprus CGS ON 50K!!!!!!!!!!!YOU DESERVE IT YOU HAVE BEEN MY FAVORITE RUclipsR FOR YEARS!!!!! I couldnt enter your other contests but i watched your vids for them and drew my own even though it was to late if you see this if you would like i could upload them and send you the link for them. P.S Thank you for these tips i saw your D&D video and loved it, you really helped me
I'm probably going to still use this as a reference for my more human characters because this will probably still work for them due to the fact most of my characters are hybrids or magical creature's
I REALY REALY hope I get a drawing ipad for christamas, this inspired me so much to make dragons! Ive drawed a lot of your dragons on paper but they just don't give the effect of the digital drawings ( also most of them are black and white becuase I still haven't learned to draw with color yet)
I wonder how dragon weapons and armor would actually work. We know spears are common, but the inclusion of breath weaponry and flying transfers the battlefield to a 3d hell scape with random blasts of fire flying by. With that in mind, the frontliners would most likely be as armored as possible, similar to plate armor for humans. For weapons the spear works but because of the length of the neck it would have to be extraordinarily long to actually be of use. Back to armor it seems a commonly attacked place is the wings which are odd because they basically cannot be armored too much. I think there would be a flexible leather/cloth layer over the wing to protect some against claws but mostly breath attacks. I have more to say but I'm lagging yt already
12TH COMMENT ! i love your videos so much you have turly helped me grow my art skills i have gotten better these past years thanks to you !! you really are a insporation to me and others!
This was super duper helpful and I just HAVE to write this downnnn. If you're as good on paper as you are on a device, I think you would make awesome puppets. If I ever see a video made by you titled "Making a dragon puppet- oh boy" I will freak out. I'm talking about those paper dragons I watch compilations of btw
oh my gosh for your What If series you should do What if Tsunami "died"insted of Gill.please dont really kill of Tsunami but make it look like you did like in What if Glorys death spit hit Burn insted of Scarlet.please
Ooh, I haven't drawn jewelry on dragons much yet. I should probably do that soon... anyway, I have some ideas for a part four of wof with food! Jambu with a jambu or a pineapple(jambus are also called java apples, and pineapples should remind him of Pineapple) Pineapple with a pineapple or a jambu(same reasoning as above) Darkstalker with a wineglass and white wine(because if you draw the wineglass in a certain way then it'll look like an hourglass and the white wine could symbolize the white sand) Clearsight with a wineglass(I just want her to match Darkstalker, okay?) Hazel with gummy worms(for bookworm) Foeslayer with green tea/matcha(I always thought she had a green tint and you can give her the black stone teacups to match her black NightWing scales) Queen Sequoia with coffee or tea Dusky with a cupcake Pyrite with pie(pie-right, right?) Hailstorm with pie that has ice cream on top(to match Pyrite) Chameleon with jelly beans(preferably jelly beans with lots of colors that maybe represent different tribes) Fathom with a green cookie or a green smoothie Ostrich with a sandwich or an empanada Flame with chili Swordtail with blueberries or oranges Blaze with smores or ice cream(I was thinking that maybe life in the ice kingdom grew on her and she starts eating ice cream) okay, maybe these are too many characters, but I really like the wof with food series and there are so many characters to pull from. anyway, have a nice day, Cyprus! :)
i just realised cricket had goggles in your d&d video. my oc has them too lol. keep up the great work! this helped me with understanding fabric (iive wanted to draw it for a while but just couldnt when i tried) and leather. i hope you someday make it to 100k! may god be with you!
@@aqwekif you’re wondering how to actually edit your OC/character like Cyprus does with her green dragon, you can export the imagine as a PNG without the background, depending on what program you use.
I added pins to the satchel of one of my main characters and their world is mostly fantasy my explanation is they found them in human ruins because humans mainly live in space and other planets
Cyprus, is there anyway i can just like email or share it with you because i can't link my drawing in comments because it won't save since i drew it on paper because i don't have any drawing apps but i have always wanted to enter

here's an idea for you: how about feathers? you've used fur accents but what about feathers instead?
The online art programmed I use only has 3 layers, do you have any suggestions for better ones?
Can you do a what if the silkwings and leafwings switched places part 2 please.
