It is REALLY hard to get convenience foods when you have such a broad category of things in the no-no list. Even if you are able to cook from scratch, sometimes you just need a break. And not everyone can do the cooking; students in dorms, people working two jobs, etc.
I can assure you, Glen is like a stud muffin. All business and tough on the outside, just nothing more than a marshmallow on the inside. I love his compassion ....
Steve is crazy for this one! I was diagnosed with Chronic IBS when I was in the 2nd grade, which led me to an eating disorder (ARFID) because everything I was eating caused me so much stomach pain. Finally I was put on a Low FODMAP diet & I’ve never felt so good in my life. You should never downplay people with Chronic autoimmune issues!!!,
The thing to clarify is IBS is a functional bowel disorder, & sadly pretty common. It can be triggered by so many issues ranging from, muscle or nerve spasms of the intestines, bacteria & infections, early life stressors & PTSD, food sensitivities, etc & so on. But IBS is more a syndrome of symptoms with many possible causes. Its functional & usually your organs & body are ok other wise, but still something is triggering it. It can be very hard to track down a cause & treat it, but diet is often the issue. Then you have IBD(Disease), in that the bowel is actually Diseased. This is where autoimmune issues are often involved like Crohns disease, etc. This is when you have severe inflammation of the intestines, & your risk for cancer is even increased from the chronic inflammation! This is often confused with IBS which is very unpleasant, but not an autoimmune disease or deadly in most cases (unless cause by a severe bacteria that isn't treated or something). Symptoms are very similar in IBS & IBD, often the same. But the cause is much different, & the consequences in one are much more severe than the other, sometimes deadly. Treatment is often the same like eliminating trigger foods, but with IBD MUCH more needs to be done to keep the gut from taking on more perminant damage. Both are miserable to live with! I at the very least have IBS, & have family history of it. Currently waiting on an endoscopy & colonoscopy to see what's going on with me. I've had to cut a lot of foods & ingredients out. So their business idea is in my opinion great! There is definitely a market for it. Thing is, MANY people live with IBS, or even food intolerance to certain things. The biggest issue for the majority of people with stomach issues, is all the crap added to food nowadays! If we were on a much more natural & simple diet, I guarantee half the folks out there with daily symptoms would see resolutions! So even someone not diagnosed with IBS, IBD, Crohns, celiac, etc could absolutely benefit from a food place like these two have! Anyways just wanted to point out the definite distinction between the two. People often hear IBD & think its IBS. No....its so much more than IBS!
Eloquently AF i might add. Most of these products cater to only one "conditon": gullibility. Whole new sections of market are being invented to multiply labels on jars and mark up prices for health-sploitation. And it's such a damn old trick! Tobacco companies in the 1920's were missing out on huge sales because women smoking was seen as indecent, so they convince the emerging Suffragette movement to adopt them as Torches of Freedom. Listerine was probably listening, because in the same decade they finally hit gold when they decided to market a product they were selling as a floor cleaner and a cure for gonorrhea (the exact same formula) as a new amazing treatment for a "condition" they decided to call halitosis. 100 years later we're still using listerine and trying to get off the damn nicotine AND still falling for the same snake oil over and over again. Imagine you had a start-up food company selling baked beans in the turn of the millenium. Market was a bitch, margins were tiny and with very little room for growth in a fiercely competitive space with very well-established brands. In come the "conditions" and you can now sell that same can of beans (with a few minor tweaks) with 10 different labels in 5 different supermarket shelves in an effectively new market space with zero competition - if you're the first at capitalizing on the "condition". Hence the excitement in the shark tank when they heard of a new one. Except for Steve, he'd rather put his money on something real. He might be wrong about one thing though: these fads have a tendency to stick. It's very easy to *condition* people to need something with a few well played clever campaigns, it's extremely hard to tell them afterwards that all their "conditions" and all the effort they put into managing them and all the money they spend on new products and all the evangelizing they did to their friends on behalf of those companies... that in fact it was all a scam.

Notice i didn't deny the existence of illnesses. There is no denying Celiac disease, for instance, which is absolutely tied to digestion. The gluten-free fad however has never catered to that exclusively, but instead pushed the agenda of an all-encompassing universal evil in gluten. There's plenty of scams going on in the pharmacological industry as well, but that's another discussion and, again, does not mean all illnesses are hoaxes...

She asked her boyfriend: "Anything else?" after they got rejected. So it was arranged before and she knew. Luckily for them the guy was so business-focused, he forgot the proposal and started pitching again and got the investment. Best Episode not gonna lie. I really thought they would not get a deal, but then I looked at the amount of time remaning in the vid and I was like "wtf"
Omg! Really great pitch having Janine to come back in on the offer! And having a proposal on the show is so cool!
the old dude with his ipad LMAOOO
I fucking love Steve lmao
Their toilet must be made of steel to deal with the their rears
Steel* 😋
Lucy Marshall blaming auto correct on that one 😮
?
@@jonhopkins8447 I have a dozen steel toilets and I desperately need their food.
hahahaha :D :D :D
That was so sweet, they seem like such a sweet & genuine couple and like they will make each other better .. I’m happy for them ☺️😢👏
Once again Andrew 1st up to genuinely congratulate & hug them .. he is my FAVOURITE SHARK .. on ANY version of this show!! ☺️👍
Omg, this, wow, I wish this was in my country. It's amazing the fodmap diet is a blessing for many sick people with Crohn's and ulcerative colitis
Man has whole camera crew to record this
Never seen Steve this happy..😁 he's my favorite shark.. though
Bet he just made that deal to propose. Wouldn't be surprised if he rejects it afterwards. Nicely done mate.
i know so many people that would order from there.. intolerances are a huge thing
The fact that he had that ring burning a hole is his pocket the whole time and probably knew he would do that if he got the deal, gave an incredible pitch, got denied and came back with so much confidence in his vision that he got the deal, then proposed to that beautiful woman... So much swagger! This blows my mind.
😂😂😂😂 i just love how brutally honest steve is
And ignorant and not even smart enough to know how ridiculous the things that come out of his mouth are. Oh wait!! I guess his money "allows" it? Wait again! lol No, it doesn't...still ignorant and showing his true colors. Does he care how he is see by others? Or how God looks upon him? Nope! His money has made him, in my opinion, a 'monster'. A scripture says, "The love of money is the (not: Money is the... the LOVE of it) root of all evil." Having money is great! It's what you do with it (being a good steward) and how you act...the kind of person you become.
Blabbering here...time for tea lol
The hell of a emotion he put on his face when all sharks were out😶
*Steve always stay busy on eating and hardly makes an investment* 😁😹😹
and for that reason i’m out!
Awww that was very sweet, congratulations to them!! I wish them many happy years together.
Lol is this show a joke? If this was dragons den they would have made sure that the couple did not get any investment.
Idk why this made me laugh so much lmaooo
Right Jenny will be like I am out
I prefer to see the bamboo grow before that boring dragon show.
Hahaha fook those British wankers, dragons my ass Peter is an oversized mental midget
You dont no good business dude. Jeanene got 4x more than they were asking. How is she suppose to turn that down if they take it?
Props to Glen for pulling out a whole ass iPad to film the whole thing. My friends wouldn’t even remember to do that. Lmao. Glen is that friend we all need🥺😂❤️
That was just amazing. Congratulations to the couple!
the girl - says no
the guy - are you sure about that
So he devalued his company by 3/4ths just so he could propose 🙄
Arch Enemy I think he got nervous but they both agreed on 40% very fast so they probably had a plan
his company was no where near worth what he first valued it at that was he was quick to try and fish the sharks back in
No THEIR company isnt worth what they asked for they make no where near a million dollars they make 1/4 of that estimate. And isn't really able to pay back a 100,000 that's a year worth of purchases for them not even profit.
That business wasn't worth a mil.
@@skylarjaxx2399 that's why its an investment, if they make 1 mil a year they wouldn't be asking for money
Okay but Glenn is the cutest for pulling the iPad out to record. 😭😂
Fun fact: He accepted the 40% only so he could propose
**20 minute conversation about bowel movements**
"Will you marry me?"
Steve is soo critical. But sometimes I like that he's down to earth.
The difference between Shark Tank US versus Shark Tank AUS is there are no Shark Hugs on Shark Tank US.
Probably the bestt episode!!
Love from india💕
Directioner??
Oh my .. this guy is a real genuine businessman . The presentation and the background of knowledge about his products says it all . Genuine guy . So happy they got the deal and kudos to their future 😊❤️❤️❤️
Damn Luke can pitch! That last minute play was fire!
Can you imagine how fast the dudes heart was beating before this encounter lmao
I always bounce back and forth between Dragons Den and this show.

Hahahaha me too mate
Deal or no deal this guy was set to walk away with a hell of a gem in the form of a seemingly amazing woman. Good for them.
Anybody else getting a Seth MacFarlane quality from the guy's face?
As someone with IBS and many other gut issues, the guy downplaying/not believing in it pissed me off. I admit I didn't know what Low FODMAP was until I was diagnosed, but that doesn't mean I decided it didn't exist just because I had never heard of it. That is such a horrible way to think of things. "It's not mainstream/I've never heard of it so it must not exist".
Congratulations brod, you are amazing. You were able to change the mind of one shark from NO to YES. And the most successful portion of the day was the YES from your girlfriend on your marriage proposal. May God bless you both of you as well as with your business.
the way he whipped out the ipad killed me
She asked her boyfriend: "Anything else?" after they got rejected. So it was arranged before and she knew. Luckily for them the guy was so business-focused, he forgot the proposal and started pitching again and got the investment. Then he started thinking, that it was excellent that his wife asked if he forgot something. And then he realized, they had planned that he was going to propose. Even later, when they came out, she said "We were so focused on the business, I didn't even..." and almost spills the beans.
No lol, she ment "anything else" to say in the business that we have forgotten
@@Minatoo2 She had "did he forget me?" face not "I want suck up more to these sharks" face. Look more careful.
Low fodmap is such a huge thing for so many autoimmune disorders. Steve pissed me off here big time.
At 14:10 Jeanine says, “forget the deal”, yea right, when you’ve given away 40% of your business.
balls of steel that bloke. No idea how he managed to pitch an investment opportunity with the nerves of proposing running around too
Steve is my favorite by far but he couldn’t be more off when it comes to healthy foods and essentials!! 🤣
Bro got deal and girl, bro winning in life
I LOVE how Andrew turned to sit down right away so Luke and Crissie can have the floor was VERY RESPECTFUL good goin Andrew👌👍👰💍👨👨❤️💋👨
Glen was very EXCITED in a BIG RUSH to record it GOOD JOB GLEN 😉🙂
How did she know what happened in the tank? She immediately knew about the proposal when they left, yet she wasn't in the tank with them!
There’s another room that people backstage watch from, i.e. narrator, family member(s), business partners that do not want to present, etc.
If Steve is shitting himself every time he eats cherries, that's a sign that there is something wrong. That isn't normal.
I’m not crying, you’re crying. Shut up. I just got something in my eye.
*sniffle* like a piece of dust or something.😢
Glen is such a dad the way he quickly pulled out his iPad to film😂
By the look of the girl when she sees the ring, it seems to me more like a publicity stunt than an actual real proposal.
That title doesn't leave any surprise know...
I can respect Steve's point of view but just because you've not heard of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
if you haven’t heard of it, it’s probably not that big. Which is I think his thought process
@@Dolanator3 true enough
Random Rangoon Steve is clueless in this area.He also laughed at that fake bacon product which is killing it around the world
Part of the reason they haven’t heard of it is because it’s recommended by doctors and nurses to patients, not someone without a condition
Steeve makes me 😂 never know what’s going through his mind and what his going to say 😂😂
