Anyone who knows about nutrition also knows that the Ketogenic Diet is not healthy for you. The main purpose of the ketogenic diet is to be used as specific diet for seizure control within children whom have epilepsy. Somewhere down the line people made it into a weight loss fade. Very few people have a real understanding of how negative it is for your body. It increases your risk for heart disease, can cause low blood pressure, having difficulty with bowel movements, possibility of kidney stones and nutrition deficiency. It is also extremely hard on your liver, pancreas, kidneys and can cause an abnormal heart rhythm. Children that use this diet for seizure control are sent home with testing to do daily, weekly, monthly that checks on different levels or PH’s within their bodies to ensure that everything is still working as it should and there is are signs of any negative side effects of the ketogenic diet.

Back when I weighed 180 kilos, I considered bariatric surgery, but it was too expensive and not covered by my insurance. There are two main procedures: gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. Gastric sleeve involves removing part of the stomach, while gastric bypass creates a small gastric pouch and reroutes the small bowel, making it more invasive. Even doctors couldn't guarantee no complications, so I decided to lose weight on my own. After three years, I'm now at 75 kilos. Besides exercise, diet and supplements were crucial. Standardized hot water root extract Tongkat Ali was especially effective. It helped burn body fat, boosted metabolism, increased testosterone levels, and curbed overeating. For anyone trying to lose weight, keep pushing yourself and don't give up!
Keto definitely does work, I did it for 2 years at a time of my life, and even placed third in a bodybuilding competition as well, while using it. But if you think you’re loosing 5 to 10 kg within two weeks, you’re dreaming. Unless you’re like 280 pounds obese, 60% of that weight loss is just Water. Nothing else.
Ketosis weight loss is mainly glocygen leaving the muscles (temporary). So the "5 to 10 kg weightloss" is kinda BS. Also, you'll have headache, no energy, no motivation, and so on... Try not eating carbs for 3 days, you'll get what I mean
No, keto is not high in fiber and proteins. It is high in dietary fats, and not 'a little bit low in carbohydrates'--it is extremely low (sub-50 g per day)
First off the way to lose weight is first before you eat drink a full glass of water, at least 12oz. Then eat something, you'll get fuller faster because of the water, then you just keep doing that before each meal. Trust me it works, I weighed 285 pounds at 5'6 that's super fat. 2 years later I am now 148 pounds with low impact exercise you too can have the ASSETS of a lifetime. 😉

They don’t care about the post op. Just more cash. He put in the initial money and she does all the work. Be upset, but it’s reality.
I'm suspicious of any diet that includes meals you have to purchase in order to lose weight. It's not the solution for everyone but I lost about 150lbs over 2.5 years eating a keto diet I made with the help of a dietician at my doctor's office and ended up saving money on groceries. I also ended up off blood pressure and acid reflux pills. That was a few years back and now I just make sure what I eat is fresh, not processed and don't eat cheap breads. I gain a few pounds over winter (I'm in Canada) and lose it naturally with increased activity through spring and summer. Processed food is our worst enemy.
The reason why people who do diets fail is because they see it as something temporary. They do it for a week or 3, maybe lose a bit of weight and then gain it all back. Which makes sense because after the diet they go back to the same lifestyle that caused their unwanted extra weight and they will complain diets don´t work. And that is correct. The correct way of permanently losing weight is by changing your eating habits permanently AND by exercising regurlarly. It really is that simple in theory BUT people are weak willed and deceive themselves, eat more than they should portion wise, unhealthy choices, lack of willpower to keep exercising etc. Also losing 5 to 10kg in a matter of 2 weeks (i believe that's what she claimed?) is not really that healthy imo..

12 kilos in 2 weeks? Scam! Keto works, but as a process where the body has to adapt to burning stored fat, following a diet based on almost zero carbs, no sugar, moderate protein, and lots of vegetables and healthy fats. Before losing weight, the body must heal from dependence on carbs. During the first few weeks, the body resists and protests the change in diet, but later it learns to be efficient with ketosis. At that moment, the energy increases and the anxiety of the carbs disappears. Losing 12 kilos will take several months, but it is totally achievable, without the need for a miracle pill ...
Starting a(n) (EXPENSIVE) diet which is dependent on a business (owned and operated by a naturally slim Woman already making a Living off obesity) in an over saturated market staying afloat....with no focus on the root problems of people's eating habits ....Ill take trendy cash grab for 3 sets of love handles Alex. People know what and how to eat so it's never the food that's the problem. It's a mental state which requires a Lifestyle change that begins outside of food. She , of all people, should know that. This stuff upsets me so much.
It's not... For a couple of weeks okayish... But on the long run its harmful.... Your body needs carbohydrates to produce energy... And in keto diet, as you are not taking any carbs your body starts using the stored carbs, aka fat... It's all great and all but the problem is Ketoacidsis. If it continues your liver gets damaged and other organs don't get the required energy...
Hold up. They sold one third of their idea to someone for 200k when they had another person (who normally doesn`t give a fluff when its a food pitch) offering them 300k?
If you could get in their minds....i would bet money that the reason they went with Jeanine was one and only one reason....she is physically attractive. She valued their business lower and will be making interest on the loan so the actual deal for them was far far worse than Steve's. Doctors, like the one on this video, like to surround themselves with pretty people and this just further asserts that claim.
This is sad. Losing 26 pounds in 2 weeks is not sustainable. Studies have found that Keto diets aren’t all they are made out to be. The true way to lose weight is through a healthy diet and active life style. However, the world we live in would prefer to be lazy and take the short cuts.
What a rip off!! So you’re telling me that a business that came in on an evaluation of 1.5 million took an offer that contradicts that to be 600k? Even when they had another one with 900k on board? Im lost
Considering that she's a clinical dietician, I'm surprised that she is factually wrong about the ketogenic diet. It is NOT high in fiber and protein; it IS high in FAT. High protein will actually kick you out of ketosis. There wasn't a mention of fat. Also, "rapid weight loss" on the keto diet is mostly water weight for her predicted time frame and if you actually want to lose that kind of weight, might as well intermittently fast, which is FREE. I'm shocked she presented her science all wrong considering her credentials. Maybe Australia should send her back to school?
It's WAY worse than you think: she knocked SIXTY percent off her valuation!! She came in asking for $300,000 for 20 percent=$1,500,000 She left agreeing to $200,000 for 33 percent=$600,000 600,000/1,500,000= .40 Which means she gave up 60 percent of her valuation.
As an American, I've watched alot of American Shark Tank over the years and while painting my kitchen these days, I've been listening to some of Australia's shows. Sorry, but they're too boring.
Losing 12 kilos in 2 weeks doesn’t seem healthy lol
If you’re able to lose that much you’re not that healthy in the first place 😅 Better off than on, I guess 🤷🏽♂️
@@chowdhuryshowparnaparijatb8884 Ketoacidosis is a risk factor for diabetics, not healthy populations.
@@mattsalvatore3193 that I was not aware of... Thank you for enlightening me 😊😊
Neither is 50 kilos over Weight lol
She was really good! Congrats!
Hold up. They sold one third of their idea to someone for 200k when they had another person (who normally doesn`t give a fluff when its a food pitch) offering them 300k?
Two professionals and neither had the capacity to negotiate. Shamble.
Naomi literally said "Screw these boys... Give it to Janeane "🤣🤭
Aussie sharks “ so you’ve made an excellent pitch & the product is great , but tell me why I should invest in it also before you do…I’m out .”
Hawk eye in the shark after hanging up his bow.
those two are rooting for sure.
Steve is the best person on the panel imo
If you could get in their minds....i would bet money that the reason they went with Jeanine was one and only one reason....she is physically attractive. She valued their business lower and will be making interest on the loan so the actual deal for them was far far worse than Steve's. Doctors, like the one on this video, like to surround themselves with pretty people and this just further asserts that claim.
Uploading just after Dragons Den I see...
its the same production companies pr agency that schedule the videos.
Huh....
I can’t stand dragons den... bloody yanks
David Anthony plonker
I do feel kinda plonked twoday
@@davidanthony7495 Dragons' Den is not American...
Is the red-dressed female shark there for the decoration? I've never saw her investing
She's not much of a decoration, just a sour bitch. She does often invest but only when she can rob them.
Unless a product can go on her Red Balloon website, she’s out.
Luke D investors will get as much of a business as they can
@@luked9984 Feel free to invest in these businesses yourself, using your own billions.
We used to have a similar woman on Dragons Den in UK and the US Shark Tank has Barbara.
The best speech ever 😊
The ketogenic diet works. But I'm drinking fruit punch as I am watching, so for that reason, I'm out
Whoa! She's definitely got _my_ interest! 🔥
It’s basically high protein meals… on small scale
This is sad. Losing 26 pounds in 2 weeks is not sustainable. Studies have found that Keto diets aren’t all they are made out to be. The true way to lose weight is through a healthy diet and active life style. However, the world we live in would prefer to be lazy and take the short cuts.
Im 40 secs in and Glenn is gonna say yes
What a rip off!! So you’re telling me that a business that came in on an evaluation of 1.5 million took an offer that contradicts that to be 600k? Even when they had another one with 900k on board? Im lost
yes sir it's because she's a bottle of a mustard
Anyone else thinks losing 5-10kg in two weeks is really unhealthy? Max should be 2kg.
Walks throw door and Naomi be like and for that I’m out
Considering that she's a clinical dietician, I'm surprised that she is factually wrong about the ketogenic diet.
Andrew saying what we're all thinking 😅
"our biggest problem is logistics" lol check out their company reviews
They should've make counter offer.
I agree - they should have asked Steve and Janine if they want to partner together? They appear to make a good team, and both like each other.
@@Locutus Feel free to offer $300k for 10%.
I don’t even think if you fast for 2 weeks you lose 12kg
Up to 12 kilos in 2 weeks. That's called starvation
why does no one counter offer ? like you wanted 20% and left with 33.3%. could of bargained for 28-30% imo
It's WAY worse than you think: she knocked SIXTY percent off her valuation!!
She came in asking for $300,000 for 20 percent=$1,500,000
She left agreeing to $200,000 for 33 percent=$600,000
600,000/1,500,000= .40 Which means she gave up 60 percent of her valuation.
that woman is just stunning.. she wanted janine from the beginning
As an American, I've watched alot of American Shark Tank over the years and while painting my kitchen these days, I've been listening to some of Australia's shows. Sorry, but they're too boring. Sound more like seminars without an audience. Our Sharks are lively, funny, blunt and the pitches entertaining. Dagon's Den isn't any better, either. Gimme Mark, Kevin, Daymond, Robert, Lori & Barb all day long!
