Probably one of the last great pop songs ever produced. The whole track is a masterclass in arrangement, and the drums are the tightest driving force behind all of it. Love it, well done!

Yeah I would hope he would mix those in more, this is obviously a show of technique, but mixing in things that fit and complement the song are a part of drumming as well. Not saying he can't do it, but that is pleasurable to the ear and heart. This is more a drum highlight.

With a passion i played somewhat close to this level within 3 months of getting my first full drumset. I guess it was all the excitement and eagerness that built up for 16 years before i got it. But honestly i never played this smooth, this level of smoothness comes with years
Let’s be honest, whoever the drummer was that recorded the original track had no right going that hard in the studio for a pop song. Shit was killer. Edit: holy shit I did not know that Abe Laboriel Jr. recorded this song and it all makes sense now
Man, I try hard at trying to nail this track in its most basic form and I fail miserably...but this guy not only nails it but adds sooo much flavour too it and makes it look so effortless......I can only hope I get somewhere near this good
There is something that mesmerizing me in this video. Maybe it's the small variations you add in the grooves, the hi-hat licks, which turn out to be unexpected, and are thrilling. One of my favourite covers.
