People should honestly just stop arguing. Yes, ww has a lot of similarities to genshin. But genshin has after all been with us for 3 years and the community is (mostly) amazing. Mihoyo might not be the most generous company when it comes to treating their players but they still have us this amazing game (and many other like star rail) Can’t people just stop fighting about which is better and let each other enjoy the game?? @@sumsumplaysIt's really not. The only similarity is wall climbing, stamina and gliding. The artstyle miHoyo already used since 2016 with HI3rd. Long before BoTW came out. The combat is so different, the exploration is more like Nier Automata, the puzzles had nothing in common, and there are more enemy variety in Genshin. It's inspired not copy.
I saw a lot of people saying "oh wuwa is copying genshin" or "genshin could never" at first it made me laugh but now it's just becoming anoying,and both games are good too,tbh i play wuwa more now bc i finished genshin and wanted a "distraction" but wuwa is really cool!
I love Genshin but it’s not perfect. Also both Genshin and WuWa are both open world games, they just have different combat styles. I’m glad WuWa made its mark because Genshin desperately needs competition.

I got to play wuthering waves today and i can say i got a hang of it easily than i have expected, the nostalgic ambiance of it was really nice and other features that wasnt on Genshin was also pretty good. But i still like Genshin more, cause well who else did enter dragonspine at level 8 below?, what im saying is its a lot more challenging being a newbie with all the struggle and all. Music was also great and the colors and everything are more alive. But regardless, I'm just playing wuthering for a day, theres still a lot of things up ahead. I just wish great things for both games in the future. But for now, im still looking forward much more for Genshin.

It's literally just there to allow the camera to see through the character despite walls blocking the view... and the floor counts as a wall that blocks the view, so naturally it will evaporate the character so you can see through em. as one of those people, i agree lol. i actually enjoy the familiarity of WW, because i can focus more on enjoying it rather than learning an entirely new kind of gameplay. there are as many differences as there are similarities imo! and even with the optimisation issues, it’s still interesting and really fun to play (the rewards help too lol)
It's frustrating to see people claim WuWa copied Genshin because they can't enjoy the fact new games are coming out, it was the same for when Hsr came out. But some of those fans also turn a blind eye to how Genshin ripped off BOTW double standards 🙁

The combat system they use are from PGR which is heavily focus on parrying and dodging attack while genshin is more on their ability spam. The story is different either and the only similarities is both has trash prologue (wuwa throwing every little info as much as possible at prolog while genshin prolog doesn't even feels like it connected to their main story which is about kaenria or whatever is the name and their missing sibling) Edit: both is still a good game, genshin story is way better than when it still in liyue and inazuma and wuwa has a solid combat system. Tbh I didn't expect much from CN gacha games interm of their early story telling especially when you're looking at how bad genshin, HSR, PGR and arknight prologue
honestly they should have taken a bit more time to make wuwa more playable. Its running good for me not smooth as genshin tho and in quests there are some bugs like the characters become expressive to stiff in an instant so its kinda annoying

Many people were surprised at how well genshin operated on mobile when it was released for a game with pc graphics, accessibility was genshin's main selling point. Now wuwa's graphics have suffered with cross platforming. it looks like a generic mobile game. they should have worked on this pre-release.

The point of an Ultimate animations is to look cool, if they don't it will attract less players and cause the older ones to not take the game seriously. Those are common animations for ultimates, nothing revolutionary.

@@McdHeizou I'm pretty sure you can't do much about that, a menu is a menu, Genshin's menu is not even that revolutionary. Same goes for Elemental bursts and Resonance liberations, they are ultimate moves. Also the combat in Genshin is basic: a skill, an ultimate and a basic attack and charged attack, WuWa instead has a more detailed combat with skills, ultimates, charge and basic attacks, echoes, intro and outro skills added and a resonance ability or whatever its name is. TLDR: You can't blame a game for being inspired if that other game is basic as shit. Look, i love Genshin but you have to admit its menus, combat and animations are pretty basic and are not anything special (I don't meant to insult the animators and game designers, just pointing out that their work is hard, but the harder thing is coming up with something special, thats why modt games have the same mechanics, and this is why I could also say Genshin is heavily inspired by BotW)

It's still a new game and the devs are working on fixing the issues. They are also giving out a free selector 5 star later today and 10 limited pulls as compensation.
I mean their both in the same genre. Tbh, why can't people just play and enjoy both? I get it their similar, but endgame players barely have anything left to do in the game (I am one, btw), and Wuwa is smth I and some people can enjoy while still playing Genshin. Plus, their gameplay is quite different, Wuwa has more complex combat while Genshin is somewhat more on reactions.

I'm also on the side where I play genshin on release and it also had issue with lag, character faces being ruined and didn't like the first act since it felt slow. Still I play all 4 games. By 4 I mean genshin, hokai impact, star rail and now wuwa.

It's actually more than that lmaoo, if you would've played Zelda BOTW (which you probably didn't as I can see) you would know that : the enemies design are practically the same as in the ones in ZBOTW, Zelda's towers = Genshin's statues, Zelda's sanctuaries = Genshin's teleport waypoints, Zelda's paraglider = Genshin's gliders. Not to forget that in both games, you can cook, the graphics are similar and the chests too (even the chests floating in the water) so, yeah, sorry but when I first played Genshin, all I thought about was how it looked exactly like Zelda BOTW. Also, both games have a cold zone with snow where you can die from cold, now don't tell me it's just a coincidence 💀

For the first time I tried to study the mechanics of the enemy instead of doing damage 😂😂. Mine's perfectly fine running smoothly in PC with AMD Ryzen 5 3600 as processor and RTX 3060 Ti as Graphics Card. However, as I said for the 3rd time, it is badly optimised in Mobile, even with a high end gaming phone, bugs and glitches are still quite noticeable just like CoD Warzone at it's first launch. Not surprising since it is supposedly a PC game that is ported to Mobile.
With Paimon's presence, we seem to lose the feeling of being tired of his behavior, without Paimon it feels lonely, and there are no jokes or people we tease.
I have a theory: wuutgering waves, genshin, and honkai all revolve around the same universe but that universe shattered into pieces because of a flaw in the universe. In which it split into these three new universes. Each one of similar characterististics. Hence why some characters are glitching.
I remember when Genshin impact was fist getting huge a lot of people said it was a legend of Zelda rip off. But the stories are different and the have different way of story telling! And yes they have some similarities but that’s it.
I think WuWa simply took inspiration from Hoyo, (Yes I mean the entirety of Mihoyo not just Genshin) I mean example the system similar to GI, Character tutorials taken from HI3, AND the generous rewards come from HSR😂😂😂 The stuff I found completely og from WuWa are the unique combat system involving those frequency-like bar and those concerto stuff, being able to grapple mid air on nothing is also something quite new, Then I gotta get used to the new names😭😭😭 (I keep accidentally saying Primogem instead of Astrite help)
Wuthering waves has been in development for years. They scraped and rewrote the story after the first, and put in a lot of work. Genshin has been in development for years and has been out for awhile. They have rewrote an arching quest after leaks, and have worked really hard. Lets not being toxic and compare the two. Games that start like an isekai are an easy way to get the main in the game for immersion. Swords have been a common weapon type in games for years. Bright colored designs, flashy characters, and laser light attacks have been stable in media since some of the earliest marvel and dc comics. Demons and dragons are a worldwide lore, and lion dancing is Chinese culture and tradition. Play both, or play neither, but lets not put down one. Or ruin the success of another with comparisons. Nothing is new cause the world is not new. There are similarities just as there are similarities in the universe. Clouds do not copy waves, trees to not copy the roots. Our nerves to not copy the star system. They just are and the similarities are beautiful like find a galaxy in your eyes and universe in the fingertips
love genshin, nothing will beat it for me. however wuwa... is actually really fun imo! im not gonna play it much until its on playstation but my god i love the combat system.
I missed old Genshin it was just so fun and I used to always find and explore new things but at least Genshin is always updated new things to the game and adding to the map to explore more❤
WW has a lot of potential already. Its much F2P friendly and even the Devs of Genshin Impact are trying their best to improve the game after the release of WW, this could be a major problem for Genshin.
Wuwa has a lot of potential already, and genshin has had infinite amounts of potential since release but the potential forever kept hidden except when combat events came out with very difficult enemies that are just a tank bit and mash u around like a bug. Like the latest event in genshin right now where u have to befriend world bosses is really fun like it's very difficult without negotiation buffs remove them all and u can have fun getting mashed around by the geo vishap
I'd say the combat of wuthering waves is way more fun, it's basically honkai Impact's combat. But, genshin just looks way better and runs better, it always felt like something was off when I was looking around in wuthering waves, It felt extremely underwhelming when they showed the scenery at the start of the game. And why in the world do they have such aggressive mouse smoothing in such a game. You can't even turn it off. At least the sensitivity slider is better than genshin's, but I would still prefer a decimal system. So for now, I'd just say it has a ton of potential, just hope they actually listen to feedback.
One thing i have problems with WuWa is the graphics. Dont get me wrong, my graphics for the game is on the highest settings. And yet, i find it a problem with a few lag spikes and low frame rate. I like the general gameplay of the game. Its just the issues with graphics overall

Tbh, the reason I stoped playing genshin is because it felt like a chore. It felt like a nonstop grind, and dont even get me started on player feedback. There was little f2p opportunities. Not to say its a bad game, I just didnt have the time and i couldnt continue playing. Wuwa is a lot more forgiving, I much prefer the combat ocer genshins, and I actually like the MC (sorry aether/lumine). Both games are good. I just prefer wuwa (maybe im just privileged cuz i can actually run it 😭)

1. Every game has a "non-stop grind". If they didn't, you wouldn't have any reason to keep playing them. 2. WuWa is going to have the same issue eventually where you run out of quest content and are left with nothing but farming. What are you going to do then? Complain about the grind? 3. You definitely aren't "saving your story quests for later". You just lazy my guy. Don't feel bad about it, we all are.
WuWa had bigger marketing, that's all. Everyone wants a bite of cake. They only forget that the game they want to steal from is slowly getting outdated (is 4 years old, which is a lot), so they end up making slightly outdated game and nothing new to behold. Wuwa does too many lore drops at the start, its pretty confusing. Plus they're trying SO hard to avoid using words that are used in GI and HSR, the english became too hard to understand bcs of that.

The combat mechanics (like that one mechanic that allows you to swap out a character and the new character performs a follow up attack and the dodging where you click one button and move backwards and possibly etc,) reminds me of Honkai Impact 3

@@THATONEGUY-ny1en Could be that, but other issues are because it's on UE4 if it's a PC problem. UE4 has a shader compiling problem that ends up affecting just about every game where it's on PC. Even games like FF7R struggled with this issue and it has to be specifically addressed. Causes lots of stuttering and random frame drops

For me i eould continue playing both games but wuwa really has stole the spotlight for me, the combat is expectionally good, story is a banger, too many quality of life features in the game, and the game actually feels like a real challenge!! But i still feel genshins open world has way more impact and the story of genshin has more connect and is interdependant with the open worlds lore.
Genshin and Wuwa is not a good comparison. Totally different engine. Wuwa is more like a better version of Tower of fantasy. Genshin is heavily story rich and smooth on Android while Wuwa has better combat system but laggy on Android. The world of genshin is more vibrant and different regions have different vibes while the whole world of Wuwa feels like a single region.
@@meteor3521 I was talking about the smoothness and performance but yeah that's a good point. You need Android 8gb+ram plus 8gen processor to play both games. But considering the amount of content genshin offers 18gb is a fair size I'd say and it still runs smoothly on recommend device. That's a massive W for the Dev's.

I'm just sick of getting new characters and not being able to level them up because of the resin cap. It takes weeks. I don't have the patience to keep doing that despite everything. It ruins the game for me. If WW gets any better as a player for 4 years I'm shelfing it.

Their on a new engine. Not unity but ue4 their literally trying a new game engine so things are very choppy rk. Plus they didnt have a lot of mobile gamers in the cbt2 so they where bound to have issues.

Nah ive been playing wutheringwaves and i love genshin but like wutheringwaves quality of life is far better…..
I got to play wuthering waves today and i can say i got a hang of it easily than i have expected, the nostalgic ambiance of it was really nice and other features that wasnt on Genshin was also pretty good.
But i still like Genshin more, cause well who else did enter dragonspine at level 8 below?, what im saying is its a lot more challenging being a newbie with all the struggle and all. Music was also great and the colors and everything are more alive.
But regardless, I'm just playing wuthering for a day, theres still a lot of things up ahead. I just wish great things for both games in the future. But for now, im still looking forward much more for Genshin.

as one of those people, i agree lol. i actually enjoy the familiarity of WW, because i can focus more on enjoying it rather than learning an entirely new kind of gameplay. there are as many differences as there are similarities imo! and even with the optimisation issues, it’s still interesting and really fun to play (the rewards help too lol)

The combat system they use are from PGR which is heavily focus on parrying and dodging attack while genshin is more on their ability spam. The story is different either and the only similarities is both has trash prologue (wuwa throwing every little info as much as possible at prolog while genshin prolog doesn't even feels like it connected to their main story which is about kaenria or whatever is the name and their missing sibling)
Edit: both is still a good game, genshin story is way better than when it still in liyue and inazuma and wuwa has a solid combat system. Tbh I didn't expect much from CN gacha games interm of their early story telling especially when you're looking at how bad genshin, HSR, PGR and arknight prologue

honestly they should have taken a bit more time to make wuwa more playable. Its running good for me not smooth as genshin tho and in quests there are some bugs like the characters become expressive to stiff in an instant so its kinda annoying

The point of an Ultimate animations is to look cool, if they don't it will attract less players and cause the older ones to not take the game seriously. Those are common animations for ultimates, nothing revolutionary.

@@McdHeizou I'm pretty sure you can't do much about that, a menu is a menu, Genshin's menu is not even that revolutionary. Same goes for Elemental bursts and Resonance liberations, they are ultimate moves. Also the combat in Genshin is basic: a skill, an ultimate and a basic attack and charged attack, WuWa instead has a more detailed combat with skills, ultimates, charge and basic attacks, echoes, intro and outro skills added and a resonance ability or whatever its name is.
TLDR: You can't blame a game for being inspired if that other game is basic as shit. Look, i love Genshin but you have to admit its menus, combat and animations are pretty basic and are not anything special (I don't meant to insult the animators and game designers, just pointing out that their work is hard, but the harder thing is coming up with something special, thats why modt games have the same mechanics, and this is why I could also say Genshin is heavily inspired by BotW)

It's actually more than that lmaoo, if you would've played Zelda BOTW (which you probably didn't as I can see) you would know that : the enemies design are practically the same as in the ones in ZBOTW, Zelda's towers = Genshin's statues, Zelda's sanctuaries = Genshin's teleport waypoints, Zelda's paraglider = Genshin's gliders. Not to forget that in both games, you can cook, the graphics are similar and the chests too (even the chests floating in the water) so, yeah, sorry but when I first played Genshin, all I thought about was how it looked exactly like Zelda BOTW. Also, both games have a cold zone with snow where you can die from cold, now don't tell me it's just a coincidence 💀

@@kianzq885 Ah, poor you I supposed. If you noticed, there are several people who don't receive the same problem as yours around the comments section. Mine's perfectly fine running smoothly in PC with AMD Ryzen 5 3600 as processor and RTX 3060 Ti as Graphics Card.
However, as I said for the 3rd time, it is badly optimised in Mobile, even with a high end gaming phone, bugs and glitches are still quite noticeable just like CoD Warzone at it's first launch. Not surprising since it is supposedly a PC game that is ported to Mobile.
At first I felt Paimon's presence was annoying because he kept talking but when I played Wuwa I felt Paimon's presence was very, very useful

Wuthering waves has been in development for years. They scraped and rewrote the story after the first, and put in a lot of work.
Genshin has been in development for years and has been out for awhile. They have rewrote an arching quest after leaks, and have worked really hard.
Lets not being toxic and compare the two.
Games that start like an isekai are an easy way to get the main in the game for immersion. Swords have been a common weapon type in games for years. Bright colored designs, flashy characters, and laser light attacks have been stable in media since some of the earliest marvel and dc comics. Demons and dragons are a worldwide lore, and lion dancing is Chinese culture and tradition.
Play both, or play neither, but lets not put down one. Or ruin the success of another with comparisons.
Nothing is new cause the world is not new. There are similarities just as there are similarities in the universe. Clouds do not copy waves, trees to not copy the roots. Our nerves to not copy the star system. They just are and the similarities are beautiful like find a galaxy in your eyes and universe in the fingertips

I'd say the combat of wuthering waves is way more fun, it's basically honkai Impact's combat. But, genshin just looks way better and runs better, it always felt like something was off when I was looking around in wuthering waves, It felt extremely underwhelming when they showed the scenery at the start of the game.
And why in the world do they have such aggressive mouse smoothing in such a game. You can't even turn it off. At least the sensitivity slider is better than genshin's, but I would still prefer a decimal system.
So for now, I'd just say it has a ton of potential, just hope they actually listen to feedback.

WW don't even have a death animation to monsters like they just become a hologram and disappear on thin air.

One thing i have problems with WuWa is the graphics. Dont get me wrong, my graphics for the game is on the highest settings. And yet, i find it a problem with a few lag spikes and low frame rate.

Tbh, the reason I stoped playing genshin is because it felt like a chore. It felt like a nonstop grind, and dont even get me started on player feedback. There was little f2p opportunities. Not to say its a bad game, I just didnt have the time and i couldnt continue playing. Wuwa is a lot more forgiving, I much prefer the combat ocer genshins, and I actually like the MC (sorry aether/lumine). Both games are good. I just prefer wuwa (maybe im just privileged cuz i can actually run it 😭)

1. Every game has a "non-stop grind". If they didn't, you wouldn't have any reason to keep playing them.
2. WuWa is going to have the same issue eventually where you run out of quest content and are left with nothing but farming. What are you going to do then? Complain about the grind?

Wuwa does too many lore drops at the start, its pretty confusing. Plus they're trying SO hard to avoid using words that are used in GI and HSR, the english became too hard to understand bcs of that.

The combat mechanics (like that one mechanic that allows you to swap out a character and the new character performs a follow up attack and the dodging where you click one button and move backwards and possibly etc,) reminds me of Honkai Impact 3

@@THATONEGUY-ny1en Could be that, but other issues are because it's on UE4 if it's a PC problem. UE4 has a shader compiling problem that ends up affecting just about every game where it's on PC.
Even games like FF7R struggled with this issue and it has to be specifically addressed. Causes lots of stuttering and random frame drops

@@kianzq885 adding salt to an injuries is that certain exploration movements or common abilities like parry locked behind a character like Beidou, Kazuha, Arlecchino or Yelan that you don't always get unless you have money while WuWa already had half of those ability with basic characters.

For me i eould continue playing both games but wuwa really has stole the spotlight for me, the combat is expectionally good, story is a banger, too many quality of life features in the game, and the game actually feels like a real challenge!! But i still feel genshins open world has way more impact and the story of genshin has more connect and is interdependant with the open worlds lore.
Genshin and Wuwa is not a good comparison. Totally different engine. Wuwa is more like a better version of Tower of fantasy. Genshin is heavily story rich and smooth on Android while Wuwa has better combat system but laggy on Android. The world of genshin is more vibrant and different regions have different vibes while the whole world of Wuwa feels like a single region.

@@meteor3521 I was talking about the smoothness and performance but yeah that's a good point. You need Android 8gb+ram plus 8gen processor to play both games. But considering the amount of content genshin offers 18gb is a fair size I'd say and it still runs smoothly on recommend device. That's a massive W for the Dev's.

I like Wuthering waves but i don’t see how people (like me) could be playing for 3 fucking years then leave and bench genshin it’s honestly sad, and they need to stop saying “it’s the next genshin” no it’s not, nothing is, Genshin is Genshin, star rail is star rail, and Wuthering waves is Wuthering waves. They’re not entirely different of course but they’re different games, different creators (other than starrail and Genshin but ykwim) and all 3 games are fucking awesome looking and they’ve come really far tbh
I'm just sick of getting new characters and not being able to level them up because of the resin cap. It takes weeks. I don't have the patience to keep doing that despite everything. It ruins the game for me. If WW gets any better as a player for 4 years I'm shelfing it.

Their on a new engine. Not unity but ue4 their literally trying a new game engine so things are very choppy rk. Plus they didnt have a lot of mobile gamers in the cbt2 so they where bound to have issues.
