  • The Stargazer Man is based on the face of a stargazer fish, so, naturally, he's weird. But I'm starting to like him. The faux bronze paint helped. Sanding him helped, too.
I never sand paper mache clay, but I was in a real hurry when I made him, and I got sloppy.

Please make more of these stargazer types. They're worth thousands when they're unique and from your own imagination

Wow! Love the metallic paint! Now I think he's a Mayan or Aztec style of spaceman lol
I did go and look at the stargazer fish ... You made this one really pretty compared to his family 😂
And OMG that echidna ❤ ... I saw a roadsign for one when I was in Australia and I thought it was a joke but they are real. Did you know the baby ones are called Puggles? 😊

Hello Joni, I'm new to your channel and am interested in your paper mache recipe. I have only one question, how much shrinkage is there between the moist paper mache and total dried? My name is Elizabeth and I live in Australia. Love your work xx

Hi Elizabeth. I've never measured the wet and dry paper mache clay in any formal way. It will shrink as it dries, like any air dry clay will. But it only matters if you put it over a hard armature, like a glass bottle. If you do that, it will crack. But if you make your armature like I did for this silly guy, you shouldn't have any problems with it.

@@UltimatePaperMache thank you for that. I have found that the normal air dry clay shrinks on drying to a much more degree than usual clay. Again, thank you for your wonderful recipe, and your quick response. Enjoy your beautiful work! 🌹
