    Another nice DIY for kids. Entertaining use of the polar bear in the video.

    Loved how these turned out, my wife is always looking for ideas to do with her kids at school. Will be showing this to her!

      Thanks so much for watching. I love the idea of doing these in class! Making a number of them could also be a great way to experiment - different colours, different oil/water proportions, add different items like beads even? When I was in university I usually had a glitter tube with me because my auditory processing is not great so it helped me concentrate. Your wife could see if having their bottles with them in class helps the kids focus?

    The density columns are soooo cool and I love how the sensory bottle looks. I've always known water and oil don't mix but now I finally understand why. Thank you for making it super easy to understand. I know it's meant for kids but I am learning just as much!

      @DeanneShoyer  4 года назад

      Sabrina, thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. Honestly, because I never understood this stuff my aim is to get the answers and explain them in a way that parents can then feel confident explaining them to their kids. So your comment made me so happy! 😃

    I liked the science add-in behind the whole idea. Fun! The chunky glitter pieces makes it

    • @DeanneShoyer
      @DeanneShoyer  4 года назад

      Thanks Loretta! I love leveraging simple crafts and activities to make it easier to explain more complex ideas. And you're right, the chunky glitter is essential - if you use fine or extra fine glitter it ends up clumping. Thanks for watching 😃

      They are so easy to make Serena, make a few! 😂 I find them really relaxing and a great de-stresser when I feel myself getting tense and needing a quick reminder to take a breath. Plus the science is so cool right?! I wish I’d learned like this in school. Thanks so much for watching 😊

    Great video! You have a great gift for explaining what something is, ways to use it and then how to do it. I'm passing this on to my friend who has two young kids. Great activity during these trying times! Thanks!

      Thanks Keith, for watching and your kind words and for sharing the video! That’s awesome 🙌 And you make a good point about it being a good activity for times like these - I genuinely find these bottles helpful for managing my stress levels and I encourage other adults who find things like lava lamps, glitter tubes etc relaxing, to give these a try.

      Hi Jaime, Thanks so much for watching! I commented on your 7 tips for getting the most out of conferences video about the focus aids I used to use that helped me process and retain information. If I was still attending conferences today I would *definitely* make a mini version of one of these to help me focus.
