Forwards Seating Returning To Superman: Escape From Krypton | Six Flags Magic Mountain | 2021

- Superman: The Escape opened at Six Flags Magic Mountain on March 15, 1997, as part of a plan to open the world’s tallest and fastest roller coaster. The ride would launch riders forwards up a 415-foot tall spike, and reach speeds up to 100mph. During the 2011 season, Superman: The Escape received important T.L.C, transforming the ride into Superman: Escape From Krypton. The most significant change was positioning riders to face backward so they now look towards the ground rather than the sky on the vertical track. The whole structure was also repainted to yellow, blue, and red to match signature Superman colors. In recent years, the left track of Superman has been closed due to unexpected reasons and rumors have been speculating left and right.

I just did 2 days ago and I loved it 😃 I really hope they don’t do forward seats cause backwards is great, although if they do one track with forward seats and one with backward seats that would be cool

The left side Forward & the right side Backwards would be perfect!
Also, I would re-theme the ride, The side going forward would remain Superman but, The side going backwards I would theme after Bizzaro that way the entire ride has a storyline + adds another DC Supervillain to SFMM line up.

Me and my brother been talking about this for years! Now what they need to do is replace the old launch equipment with new, more efficient LSM/LIM!
They just did before the reopen. Just rode it last week and it is smoother and faster then ever. Back to its former glory for sure.
That's what Six Flags needs to do with both Mr. Freeze coasters.

But, what about the time, we used to have the old statue in the black lights with Superman’s power armor from krisis of the krimson kryptonite in 1990 comics, and his parents holding the globe only on the left side, while we still have the green lights with Kryptonite and the 🚀?

Oh no. Now it's going to go back to being twice as loud. Don't get me wrong, I want to have the left side back, and I want it to have forward facing cars (a retheme wouldn't be bad either). However... I don't think my eardrums are ready

@@FrontRowCoaster It's not even so much of the launch as it is the curve into the spike. I don't know what Intamin was thinking when they built this thing but it's clear that noise pollution was not their priority

I wish, but it does not look that way. By the photos, I believe they basically just flipped one car around so it is turned forwards

@@seanlewis1148 In my description, there is a link to one enthusiast's Instagram account. They have photos posted of the train on the left track facing forwards. If you go to the park and look at the left track when your exiting the ride, you can also see the train looking forwards
