    Losing weight slower than expected is actually a good thing. Less shock to the body and that is prob one of the reasons why your lose skin is not as bad.

      the speed at which you lose weight actually has little to nothing to do with loose skin. that is a misconception. Age, amount of weight loss, and genetics have much more to do with it.

    Everyone is different & keep in mind genetics & intended natural body type. Also limit who you tell because believe me, once you start getting results people will start HATING! Especially if you have plus size people in your “circle”. They’ll want everyone who compliments you to know that you had weight loss surgery, as if you aren’t deserving of the compliments

    Faye!!!! I will be 2 years post op DS in November 2023. You are sooooo correct in the surgery being mainly a jump start if chosen to assist in weight loss. The work is solely on you mentally and physically. You have to change your mindset and decide on your outcome. Congratulations on being a Mom and resuming your journey. I am 80 pounds down and have kept it off thus far. If anyone is on the fence about weight loss surgery, take the leap of faith. You won't regret it!

    I had my sleeve surgery back in Oct 2021 while still wfh. I told one of my coworkers a few weeks before my surgery, that I was having surgery. We started going back to the office in May 2022 and everybody was giving me compliments and asking me what I did to loose weight. I told them just eating better and walking (which was true) and because it wasn’t their business that I had surgery. When I would receive these compliments and the coworker I told was around I noticed she would be mumbling under her breath saying “and she had other things done also”. I was like wow she is a hater! So even when you think someone is cool they can show you their other side.

    I have and struggle with PCOS as well and I considered doing surgery and still am considering a little but what scares me the most is the stories that I hear from the surgery process and people dying and what not. Like I know people say do your research and I do believe me, it's just not the easiest thing to do when it's surgery on your body. And the money that you have to spend to get the process done. So I'm kinda iffy about it altogether but a part of me does want to get it done but I also want to try exercising first and doing it that way to see where I get. So I guess you can say I'm weighing my options but I think this video is VERY HELPFUL for people who struggle with PCOS and what not. And my birthday is July 13th as well so that's cool! Thanks for sharing!!!!

    • @queenzoe3546
      @queenzoe3546 7 месяцев назад

      @JudithTeaches everything went well except the gas pain after surgery was painful I've lost 50 lbs so far. I still have to get used to eating a certain way like I can't eat too fast or I can't drink water or any fluids before, during or after eating for at least 15-30 mins or I'll get nauseous and throw it up. My stomach don't do well with heavy carbs like rice, bread and pasta. When I do eat I eat like maybe 7-8 spoons of something and I'm already full if I try to eat more my stomach literally start to hurt. So far no regrets the surgery is actually doing what it's supposed to do which is limit my eating. I also struggle to get the 60g of protein daily that is recommended but I'm still working on the and I also started strength/resistance training so I can tone up while losing the weight and limit any excess skin. I hope this helped, good luck on your journey 😊

I kept falling asleep from the anesth between the laps and drinking the water. I was kind of annoyed with their process. But I'm still glad I did it.
