The Sun Does Rise The Cranberries Nightime has come when all was still Moon shone the way as we climbed the hill When we arrived we raised our hands Now the dawn has come now we understand The sun does rise in the eastern sky And love soon comes watch over I The road was long yes we travelled far Though long dark nights without guiding star Visions of an angel came along the way Told us "don't be fearful for there comes a brighter day " The sun does rise in the eastern sky And love soon comes watch over I The sun does rise in the eastern sky And love soon comes watch over I The journey's been an epic Sometimes I've been so down Stranded in a lonely bar the other side of town Yes we've travalled day and night for many a poor mile Now it all makes sense as we see the morning smile. The sun does rise in the eastern sky And love soon comes watch over I The sun does rise in the eastern sky And love soon comes watch over I
Great song yes. but please correct yourself because this is NOT THE CRANBERRIES!! It is Jah Wobble and the Invaders of the Heart, featuring Delores O'Riordan. t was a collaboration during her hiatus from The Cranberries in the early/mid 1990's.
Ah, no... yes, but no! You've just solved a puzzle for me! I think this is from s3 episode 5 of Later with Jools Holland (4 June, 1994). Later's Wikipedia page suggests so, anyway. Usually, each act performs twice, so it'd be interesting to know what else they did... However, the following week, The Cranberries were on in their own right, and performed "No Need to Argue," and "Dreaming My Dreams". This is obviously several months in advance of the album being released, so I guess they were just testing out their new material.

Auténtica Maravilla...

The Sun Does Rise
The Cranberries
Nightime has come when all was still
Moon shone the way as we climbed the hill
When we arrived we raised our hands
Now the dawn has come now we understand
The sun does rise in the eastern sky
And love soon comes watch over I
The road was long yes we travelled far
Though long dark nights without guiding star
Visions of an angel came along the way
Told us "don't be fearful for there comes a brighter day "
The sun does rise in the eastern sky
And love soon comes watch over I
The sun does rise in the eastern sky
And love soon comes watch over I
The journey's been an epic
Sometimes I've been so down
Stranded in a lonely bar the other side of town
Yes we've travalled day and night for many a poor mile
Now it all makes sense as we see the morning smile.
The sun does rise in the eastern sky
And love soon comes watch over I
The sun does rise in the eastern sky
And love soon comes watch over I
great song
