I worked my ass off with 2 full time jobs and extras on the weekend. Saved up 25k and handed that over to my financial Adviser to put down and for investing. So I continued working my ass off and in less than three months I was able to lay my hands on my first property.

I am 52 years old with very little set aside for retirement at this point. I have always been curious about the stock market and have witnessed some people who played the game right and retired early because they used the stock market. When I ask them, most said that they invested very little to start with, but their portfolio grew. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make decent return

I'm still glad I can smile back at my portfolio of $102,700 made from my weekly trade within a short period.

I would charge you extra for that. I’m a GC but I don’t have time to teach anybody while I’m doing a project. Of course GC will charge 20-25% OHP. I do sub contracts as well but I would not allow the owners to tell me how to run the job. I would just tell them to get somebody else. Laborers and business owners are too different things. If you’re sub contracting you still have to pay OHP

A good contractor will see the value of building long-term business relationships, even if it requires educating the customer.

Lowe’s is notorious for this. We paid for a dumpster… never once seen a dumpster. Then we were short material.. contractor took our materials.

It is much easier to start getting picky with subs and material etc once your house is weatherproofed. Otherwise you run the stress of having to finish the flow fast so it does not rain in and gutters are up etc.
