Oh Mads, I totally loved this video! Exactly the great RC spirit and doing this just for the fun of it, just like it should be! I'm so chuffed you had a go at both my challenge and Peters, and you did bloody well! A decent top speed and a really good crack at the cone challenge. I'm impressed with how well you did with only RWD! I think you should have another crack at it when your TT02 is finished. You got this my friend - super driving! 😎👊👍
Hi Mark, thanks! Yeah, I was happy to manage this video, both for Peter's challenge and yours! It was quite a while since I commented on Peter's that I was in, so good to finally post something. Yeah, I am looking forward to get my TT-02 on the road, or mostly off, I would imagine. But definitely I should have another crack at the old cones, I am thinking a 14th scale buggy might be the perfect vehicle for this challenge.
Nice day out knocking some challenges off the to-do list! I hit cones, I don't drive around them. Those things seem to be targets in my head, I am terrible about slamming into them!
Thanks Addam! Yeah, I can tell you I needed to correct those cones very often, it was good exercise, at least... But it's good fun, I think I'll have another shot at the cones, hopefully sometime soon...
Thanks buddy! The DT-02 is great, I think you will love that Gator! Yeah, there is the speed challenge, and the slalom might be better on a 4wd. I'm actually thinking my 14th scales might be perfect on that slalom thing...
Thanks Jeremy! Yeah, definitely tricky on a rwd and also with a large vehicle, I am thinking a small 14th scale might do this really well... Have a go at it! I think you will like this also!
Thanks Peter! Great fun, except I had forgot to bring enough water, ha ha! Great couple buggies, these, although I think I need to try a smaller 4wd, might be perfect for the slalom... You interested in joining the fun?
Hey Mads, great to see you having a bash as this dude! That cone challenge is a pain!! I have a video in production at the moment 😁 Question is was Mark resetting the cones or did he make Rob do it 😂🤣 I think that speed is respectable dude but like every speed run there will always be a faster car!!
Thanks Craig! Yeah, you know those cones too well also by now, ha ha! Good fun, except for each time a cone needs to be reset... He he, maybe he had Rob help out, but I could also imagine Rob just having a laugh... Yeah, I just got comment from Pete, he says I'm in the lead of brushed category, ha ha!
Thanks Dom! Yeah, good fun, and you know I enjoy all these time trial videos, so it's good to have a go at it myself also! You should try the slalom, too!
Hey Mads, that was awesome to see you having a blast running two challenges in one day. Doing the slalom course is not an easy thing to do, even in a real car, but you did it even with a controller that went FUBAR on you. Great video, loved every minute of it.
Thanks Al! Yeah, I had a good time with this, although it's also kind of hard work, he he... I'll have to figure out those radio issues pretty soon, it's starting to annoy me. I'm beginning to use Futaba in my higher end builds from now on...
Hey good work on the challenges. I've had a go at the Peter Smith DT-02 speed challenge which I'll post tomorrow. Not had the chance to do the Mark Bryan cone challenge yet. Need to find a suitable area without real cars on it. Does look tricky. Great vid 😁👍👍
Hi Pete, thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I was happy to be able to manage both challenges... Not so sure about the results, he he... I'll be giving the slalom test another go soon, I finally have something that resembles a TT-02 rallycar, and I'll try a 14th scale also at it... I'll be looking forward to watch your efforts, first with the speedrun!
Nice driving! It definitely takes effort to just get out there and set everything up. And of course, that's when people decide to show up out of nowhere when you were all alone the whole time setting up 😁👍 It's been God awful hot here, too
Thanks Scaleworks! Yeah, I was surprised to see people there, but in the end they didn't disturb me, and ironically enough I got best time on the DT-02 right as those cyclists approached, he he... Good exercise, especially on a hot day...
Yeah, man! I'm happy Peter set up this challenge, it's good fun to both watch and try myself... I got a bit too much going on, so it won't be some crazy effort from my side... Might try the 22 tooth pinion trick, and a hotter brushed motor, he he...
Great video Mads!! Two for the price of one with this one buddy. Great to see everyone worldwide getting involved in these challenges just for the sheer fun of it! The slalom challenge looks very tricky, especially with a 2wd of all things.... you done well there fella. Check out Craig at the OAG'S attempt in his XVO1, clocking just 7.4 seconds!!! Guess what idiot has called him out saying I can beat it with my Porsche 959? 🤔 🙄 I'm guna have my work cut out there for sure, but hope to attempt it this week..... I could well end up with egg on my face! 😂 We will also be entering Peter Smiths DT02 challenge...... but we need to first build the car! 😂 All good fun matey! 👍 👍 👍
Yeah, ha ha, two for the price of one! Thanks Yoda dude! Yes, the slalom challenge is tricky, but it's also quite addictive! Even though I would only know the times after editing the footage, I kept thinking I could feel how fast they were, so I actually think it helps me get more connected with the RC car. I hope that makes sense... Anyway, I think my next attempt(s) will be something smaller scale, 14th scale. I look forward to see your entries to both challenges, should be a good bit of fun until Fill announces what he wants us all to do the rest of this summer, he he!
@@madsrcbuggy Good call matey..... smaller sounds the way to go I think! My Porshe 959 is a bit smaller at 1/12 scale so fingers crossed 🤞!! Best of luck with your 1/14,that could well smash all records! And, see you in the poor boys challenge!! 👍 👍 👍
24 is good for a DT02, the radio glitch I might have the answer. You have the aerial wire by the motor leads and that can cause issues. Slalom not they are tricky to get right and fast.
Thanks Bas! You're right, I should definitely take steps to exclude all those factors that can cause these glitches. So far I have been pretty sluggish, I have just placed the antenna wire wherever, but hasn't given me issues for several years. Now, suddenly, I have lots of issues, especially with the Flysky ones... I guess some testing is needed, he he...
@@madsrcbuggy Aerials can be a pain, my nephew brought a Lunchbox very cheap because it did not work right and brought it round to me. 4 new ball ends on the steering and just moving the receiver because of the aerial sorted.

You got a tight line in the last run through the cones. 👍🏻
Thanks Damian! Yeah, I managed a few good runs. I think a smaller 4wd like 14th scale might be prefect for this challenge...

Love the video. Enjoyed!!
