Now that I have done this on my entire house, I can see just how good the technique is here. It is killing me. He is really good and he has lots of pearls hidden in his abilities that I now see. Wow. Raphael Santore

Can Styrofoam be placed directly over studs without the need for plywood either in exterior or interior applications?

Nice no need for taping off the window

Question/comment, quality stuff in this, I had a short-lived fire, stucco more than likely stopped the penetration into living space! I've now what I believe are heat cracks in the base coat as the top coat burned away (synthetic) should I fill those cracks and ad a new top coat or? Thanks in advance

How much r value does this add to the wall? With 1 inch and with 2 inch foam?

I hope that Spray foam wont crystallize over time or all your trim boards are gonna fall off eventually

It’s better to stick it with primer adhesive mud using a notched trowel

If you're going to joint-seal with foam, why not leave a 1/4" gap for better seal penetration at the joints?

This guy is not very good. Entirely too much wasted time. Apply the foam properly and there is no need to fill the gaps.

Yeah. Why put such small pieces of foam on the wall?

I've applied miles of foam and I'm very good at it. I have never in 30 years seen a foam application that didn't need gaps filled.
If you think that small gaps are no problem you're wrong. Gaps over 1/16 of an inch filled with mud create a natural breaking point for the lamina (basecoat with mesh and finish) and a potential leak.
Learn the system, work the system, and we'll preserve the system for the future!

I 100% agree with this is not very good if u do a video make sure things are professional. All I can do is laugh, I am sorry I can't help it, very sad makes stucco look very bad in peoples eyes, if u want a sweet jobs done check out century stucco systems in London Ont. They are the best

@@MegaKenny112 You've never did this kind of work. you will have gaps from time to time. sometimes the foam gets squished on the edges up in process of transport {i.e from rachet straps and tie downs) Sometimes the foam is not cut square from the factory) Point is your gonna have some gaps and it is perfectly ok to fill them the way that he did.
