Getting my dad and brother Enchroma colorblind glasses

- With the help of our incredible community, I was finally able to get both my dad and my brother a pair of Enchroma colorblindness correcting sunglasses. Thank you all SO MUCH!

I'm glad caring kind people chip in to help to provide those glasses for your dad and brother but what caught my attention was how the dog rest it's head between your dad's lap then sat down 😊 tells me this dog loves your dad😊

It GOOD that they Can NOW SEE the Proper colour, of thi g in Every day Life. Yes, it's the Brain that HAS to learn the proper colours, BE Safe, God bless.

My dad got to see the colors of a sunset yesterday, for the first time in his life. It was something I cant put into words.

@@ediegal1009 actually, it worked great. What we realized, and what helped him out a LOT, was flattening the pieces that rest on his nose. too much light was coming in from the sides, so he wasn’t getting the full effect. he tried on my dads and the difference was huge so we figured out that flattening those pieces made all the difference.

Your brother brings up a great question. Do they come in prescription?
They do. We didn’t get him the prescription ones, because he already had an appointment to get contacts the following month

there are 2 kinds of glasses, one to use indoors and the other to use outdoors, are diferente technologies, maybe exist a new one that only requires only one pair of glasses.
Imagine buying expensive Enchromas for your brother and forget that you can get them for people who need glasses. Oh my. But to be honest, i would be more than happy to have one of those.
So explain to me how you know our situation enough to post that? He had an eye appointment to get contacts, already scheduled for the following month. Imagine speaking on a topic you have absolutely no knowledge of. Oh my.

Algumas pessoas não tem entusiasmo, ver cores faz a vida melhor e esses dois parecem que não se importam muito, que pena.Mas parabéns a esse ótimo filho/irmão, você fez sua parte!
Eles realmente gostaram deles, mas simplesmente não são pessoas muito expressivas e mantêm seus sentimentos muito próximos. Mas agradeço seu comentário, obrigado!
Why did you get them so dark? Why didn't you get lighter tint?
Because my dad golfs as a hobby, and my brother is outside/driving a lot. So the sunglasses version of the glasses was more practical for them.
@@imcoldbore OK I understand. If it was MY dad I'd have got the lighter ones as he doesn't spend 8hrs a day golfing...and many more hrs a day just doing regular activities.

It's a shame that some people are priced out of seeing ( colours ) like these countries that tax you should owe you this. Imo
Isn’t it fascinating that more men than women are colour blind? Just like stuttering….more men than women stutter. At in any case, it’s wonderful that the glasses were developed even though it was by accident. They have changed so many lives.
They really have! And even though their reaction wasn't as dramatic as some others (they are very reserved guys), they still wear them and talk about them to this day. So I know they have made a difference in their lives.
should have got the glasses in prescription since theyre expensive enough anyway, maybe they could take them back and change them
