OMG fab car, this 74 year old nanah has had a wishful dream car since she was 20 years old, a Mercedes 250 SL. I sometimes spot them on the roads even now and the shout goes out ‘there’s my car’. Enjoy 😊
Love “teenage Brian’s new German wow wheels, very cool looking. Glad to hear Pascal passed with flying colours and glad Malcolm rose to the occasion and behaved. Looking forward to tomorrow’s adventure. 😊🇦🇺🦘
"Never throw out wood"... Reminds me of my dad, during the last several years of his life. My dad got a job down at the local lumberyard. A small family owned place where you could get the essentials if need be. But they also had a partnership with a local business that makes batteries and they needed pallets made for said batteries and my dad would spend hours making said pallets in the shop at the lumberyard which meant there were boxes and boxes of scrap pieces left. As well as bags full of sawdust from the collectors for each of the machines which were from the 70s but still worked like new. My dad would always bring this wood home for my and his random projects. Mostly 4 foot sections of 2xs and 4xs and some 6xs. They also were great for getting a fire going in the wood stove if I was low on kindling. Needless to say. If you have wood 🪵 keep it and use it when you can. Never throw it away!.
I’ve been driving second-hand Mercedes since 2010 and have been very happy with them. My last one, a 2010 E350 saved my life when I was rear-ended on the highway. The police figured she must have been going 120 kph while I was going about 80 (it was rush hour traffic; no body but her were speeding). I walked away safely while my poor car was written off. Mercedes are very safe cars. Teenage Brian did you a favour. Enjoy it. It’s beautiful.🤩
At the tender age of 40 I went to the Pontiac dealership to get a new car (my old car wasn't worth fixing) while waiting for the salesman I spotted Scarlett a brand new Firebird. I requested a test drive and that was it.
Snazzy new-to-you car! I wonder what you'll name it? My bags are packed! Looking forward to the drive. Hope you're having a good sleep. Happy trails Brian!
Oh, Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. (Janis Joplin) 🎶 I suggest you paint the coat storage area with an Osmo stain. Bill Petherick uses it a lot on his new convent doors, 5:07 cupboards, etc. It has a beautiful natural finish.
So happy Pascal passed his emissions check and got a good bill of health!😂😂🥂Wow! Teenage Brian has great taste! A beautiful 2 seater Mercedes-Benz. Congratulations, Brian🎊🎉🥂
I owned a 2016 350 SLK for 8 years Brian. I enjoyed driving and especially enjoyed its performance. What I didn’t enjoy was when I took it in for its yearly service. I could never leave without paying over $300. Hope you enjoy your ride as much as I did.
I like the plain wood coat nook as it matches nicely with the sauna. Congratulations on the Mercedes! Teenaged Brian has worked very hard to obtain it. I hope it is reliable and cost-effective for you. The ones I've experienced here in the US have been very high maintenance, as in always having a dash light on for some random reason - but I suspect we get the rejects from Europe. 😉One we named Pretty Car, as she really was like a high maintenance society celebrity.
Brian that is one heck of a sexy car! You definitely do deserve it, you need that reliability. Enjoy every second of it because I know that you are going to enjoy your trip even more so knowing that you are completely safe and so is everybody else. Have a great day!
P.S LOVE YOUR CAR....... Looks cool, ENJOY 😁😁😁 AND WHY NOT drive in style with the beautiful summer coming up. 😁😁HAPPY and safe travels in it. What will he be called. ??? Have you something in mind?
Maybe teenage Brian without his spots or bleach blonde hair has always had some good ideas! Upgrades are always IT even if they are 20 yrs old! Like shades too! They are cool enough for the car! Enjoy 🎉your new ride on your long drive--I’ve driven up n down and across the USA by myself & I find it soothing & meditative! Bring us along plz! 😊
Have to admit to a little too much pleasure seeing you wrestle with the hitch. Connecting up the drive can be, well, quite surprising finding out how much vernacular one picks up.
And you forgot the word comfort Malcolm. Mercedes/BMW comfort. If you’ve never had one, it’s hard to explain to non converts. You will understand soon. I’ve had x4 BMW’s previously, never brand new. And boy! Do I miss them now due to changes in circumstance. I feel every Welsh pothole on the road and grimace now. Congratulations on your 20 year old’s dream. You deserve it because you work bloody hard for it ❤ enjoy your trip x
Looks like a good buy Brian. I hope it serves you well. I have one, AMG model, and put 165k on it so far, it has been dead reliable. It's 8yo now and showing a little age but I still love it.
Compared to the Riley that Mercedes is the epitome of rational..Have a fun trip. Although as a German I have to say we would've loved a visit from Pascal.
Looking forward to the road trip tomorrow Brian. By the way, when I was a teenager I learned from a karate teacher that regardless of our current age, we are a sum total of all our ages combined. You are still teenage Brian, 25 year old Brian, 3 plus something Brian, etc. today younger you gets to get out and drive around to get a cup of coffee in style, you are honoring teenage you today Brian. 💕🐶
You will love the Mercedes. My old school mechanic who knows Mercedes inside out told me I will never need to worry about the engine. Driving is an absolute pleasure, my SLK is a 22yr old, she loves to stretch her legs, handles beautifully & it's an ideal car for long trips, or any trip really. ENJOY 🚘
Hey! Brian! Love love love your beautiful new ride! Go teenage Brian! This is going to be so fun to ride along in. Hope she turns out to be as beloved and dependable as her big brother Pascal.
It’s like watching Cars the movie! Love it! What’s the Mercedes going to be called “Lightening McBrian”! Fancy, top comes down/off on those right, nice, you’ll need a cool cap then! You’re going to be cruising the continent in style in your new chick magnet! But wait, a 2-seater, where are we all going to fit? Congrats to Pascal for passing! Safe driving in your new ride Brian! This one has power! Vrooooom! 🚗🏎️🚙🚌 Thanks!
I kept saying oh please make it a two-door please. All other Mercedes are so sensible. And there was Lola the 2 door. Thank the lord for teenage Brian in charge of the chequebook.
Leave the boot room the natural wood. If anything just clearcoat it. It looks really good. QUESTION: How long will it take us to get to Germany? In hours?
Haha!! Love it... Teenage Brian? Midlife crisis Brian you mean 🤣 Good luck taking that one camping!! Then again they are lovely the SLK's.. until the compressor dies that is, but hey we only live once.
Fabulous how you keep the wood knowing it’ll come in handy one day. You keep all those thousands of tool pieces and equipment well organised. Well done to Pascal on his certificate 😁 and well done on finishing the coat / boot nook ✅✅
Holy moley! You should send teenage Brian shopping more often! What a fun car! No driving that to the chateau... Way too fancy. See u tomorrow for its maiden voyage. And... He /she will need a name, yes?
Lol! We picked up a 12 year old Mercedes CLK convertible for $10,000 less than a new Honda. It was in great condition. Other than new tires, we haven’t had to put any money into it in the 6 years we’ve had it. I wouldn’t have even considered a new one, which were going for close to $65,000 at the time, but for a perfect car for under $17,000 and a Dealer warrantee, it was perfect.
Hi Brian. Love the car❤. Once, after moving from Oklahoma to Arizona. I went shopping for a Christmas tree. The prices were ridiculous. ( We always cut them and they were free where I came from.) Soo I got some free tumbleweeds and piled them on top of each other and decorated them. Free tree. I also went to a car lot and bought a Lincoln car. Yep life is too short, you gotta splurge once in a while!! 🥴😂🎉 Love ya.
Congratulations Pascal on passing 😊 71.4 & 144 for book nook which is looking good 😊 Ok now I have two things to say on the final section, one I thought when you sat in front of the merc talking about trading cars that you were just winding us up and you would turn the camera round and show something different 🫣🫣 my record for longest time never being right is not broken 🤦 Two please can teenage Brian remember to use the indicator's still as none of the Merc, Audi and BMW drivers around here seem to have any anymore 😡 Congratulations on the new car tho 😁
These are perks of age, having multiple vehicles for different aspects of our lives. I have a sporty convertible for when I feel a bit carefree, wild and fun. Then I have the beastly 3 row seater, also very plush that's called the Nana-mobile for those trips with multiples but all the perks for the driver (me) including speaker system to the back row to tell them to "knock it off". Then I have the daily driver, just enough perks and zip to keep me happy but not a flashy gas hog. Vehicles for all moods, not counting motorcycles, bicycles and other fun toys. Please have Nick do a lesson on knife sharpening for all of us! I feel like I have spent half my life asking men to sharpen my knives and scissors. It's time to learn it for myself. There are better things to ask men for!
Hi Brian, oh you do make me laugh with your wee ramblings and how you never really know what your going to be doing😂. Good man Pascal for getting his certificate 👏🏼👏🏼🇨🇮
Congrats on Pascal passing the inspection and now you have a Benz! It was time for the Peugeot to go as you said. Good video Brian like your tinkering around the shop and mowing the grass.
I'm amazed that you are at 45 degrees north, and have no snow ( probably cause of the gulf stream) where I am in Montreal Canada, 45 degrees north too, but we are deep in snow the ground is frozen and it can easily get to minus 20 in the night in January
I'm so glad you treated 17-year-old Brian with a Mercedes. Of course, it's just a perk that you get to drive it, too, I'm sure. It think I would need to name it Silky (SLK), maybe just Silk. Probably the same thing everyone calls their SLK, but it fits!
Teenage Brian congrats on you new Mercedes. I had the black version of that model and I loved it. Mercedes are reliable. I now have a larger sedan version that is great. Enjoy!
Are you sure you’re not part of my family … I do everything you do and say 😂 poor you Omg I love your new car that’s sooo cool 😎 I’ve done exactly that went in for a sensible family car, and come out with a sports car😂 Congratulations Pascal winner winner chicken dinner ❤❤❤ I’m all and packed/ready for our roadie 😊
ohhhh, so excited, 2 seater, fancy and just your style. It will be fun to drive to Germany and around Germany - you will fit right in. FUN, FUN, FUN, hope the stereo and speakers is ready for the road trip!
Brian I think you will find the Merc a very restful long distance cruiser, my E200 and I have been all over Ireland and get 50-60 mpg of diesel. Safe Travels!
Brian, I think you are the busiest single man. Congrats on Pascal and Malcomb. Enjoy your trip and go see your friends in Germany. Don't forget your friends birthday present you bought. Do you speak any German!
Excellent cars, Mercedes, drove them for years but always had a heart attack when service came up. I rode many miles in those days, Mercedes are built for distance. Germany will be a good test drive. Sometimes the teenager has to come out, Brain, good for the soul.
Love the car! My most most most beloved car was my Peugeot Coupé, the last one they produced. They got the engineering house of Pininfarina to develop it, so it really was a Ferrari. From the chassis up, nothing was Peugeot apart from the external cosmetic details. I always told people I had a Ferrari, which puzzled them a bit. I was so upset when my mechanic remonstrated me about the money I was spending on it, it eventually had to be sent to the great car park in the sky. I still miss it,😢
OMG😂😂😂 Ich wünsche dir eine schönes Wochenende in Deutschland. Wir fahren immer 2 Tage durch Frankreich bis wir in Deutschland ankommen. Es ist ein langer Weg, der sich aber lohnt ❤
Balsam fir has one of the best smells! Western Red Cedar is pretty great too. Your coatroom I'm a fan of natural so just varnish or mildly stain the wood.

We have one life Brian so I am in favour of you being in tune with your teenage Brian and his dreams
I fully expected you to turn the camera to another car. Pascal is going to be jealous. I am glad teenage Brian received a treat.
Oh we need a picture of teenage Brian with bleached blond hair!
Oh yes we do 😂
I bet his mammy has a photo, I think he should show it,
Congrats Pascal for passing the test! And congrats Brian on the new to you car!
Wow! That is FANCY! What a wonderful way to start your trip! With a new car! Congratulations ❤
There's gotta be photo documentation of teenage Brian. You've got to share it with us. Maybe to celebrate Vlog 100.
OMG fab car, this 74 year old nanah has had a wishful dream car since she was 20 years old, a Mercedes 250 SL. I sometimes spot them on the roads even now and the shout goes out ‘there’s my car’. Enjoy 😊
Congratulations on this beautiful SLK, I wish you lots of fun with it and safe journeys!!!!!!!😊😁👍👏🥰
Yessss! So what are we calling her?......fritz?
Congratulations Pascal! Good for Malcom. I love the names you have for your vehicles.
Love “teenage Brian’s new German wow wheels, very cool looking. Glad to hear Pascal passed with flying colours and glad Malcolm rose to the occasion and behaved.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s adventure.

Double chick magnet, a merc and the Irish accent!!
Would have probably worked on me in a bygone time.😊
He had me at hello, lol. Oh and the love for the puppies and dogs, the love of coffee, the sense of humour and good looks, OMG

Congrats on passing the test. Now your Royal chariot is ready.❤❤❤🎉
You do make me chuckle Brian anything with Mechanics 🤣Glad Pascal passed😁 Love your new wheels just ideal. Cant wait for the trip
Everyone deserves a treat. And if anyone does, you do! It’s hard, cold, wet work up
there on Dan’s roof! Very cool! Enjoy your trip!
❤Brian at any age!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 you're right🎉
I’ve been driving second-hand Mercedes since 2010 and have been very happy with them. My last one, a 2010 E350 saved my life when I was rear-ended on the highway. SLK looks great Brian. Have a great trip to see your friends in Germany. (Don't forget the tea 😂). 😀👍
At the tender age of 40 I went to the Pontiac dealership to get a new car (my old car wasn't worth fixing) while waiting for the salesman I spotted Scarlett a brand new Firebird. I requested a test drive and that was it.
Congratulations on the "new" car! She's beautiful . Can't wait to go on your trip with you
Loved the little “touch wood” - my Dad used to do that ❤
Congrats on the Benz, Brian. I’ve had one in one form or another since 1981 and have loved and enjoyed them all!
Good job Malcolm! Also sorry Pascal you're having a at home holiday rest.
Snazzy new-to-you car! I wonder what you'll name it? My bags are packed! Looking forward to the drive. Hope you're having a good sleep. Happy trails Brian!
You deserve the nice new Shiney car! Enjoy it!
❤ “we both had a miserable time” 😂
Teenage Brian has a head on his shoulders. Enjoy the drive.
Let the lovely wood oxidize and deepen it's patina. Once you paint, you commit to a certain course.
Oh, Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. (Janis Joplin) 🎶
I suggest you paint the coat storage area with an Osmo stain. Bill Petherick uses it a lot on his new convent doors, 5:07 cupboards, etc. It has a beautiful natural finish.
I had the song in my head too! 😂
So happy Pascal passed his emissions check and got a good bill of health!😂😂🥂Wow! Teenage Brian has great taste! A beautiful 2 seater Mercedes-Benz. Congratulations, Brian🎊🎉🥂

I too do that touch wood thing when there are no wood in sight. Did that yesterday 'knock knock' 👍
Brian that is one heck of a sexy car! You definitely do deserve it, you need that reliability. Enjoy every second of it because I know that you are going to enjoy your trip even more so knowing that you are completely safe and so is everybody else. Have a great day!
congrats for the pascal success and can't wait for the trip to Germany...in that fancy German piece of 2 door engineering!
Yea - love teenage Brian’s commentary and decision! Hit the road and enjoy!
P.S LOVE YOUR CAR....... Looks cool, ENJOY 😁😁😁 AND WHY NOT drive in style with the beautiful summer coming up. 😁😁HAPPY and safe travels in it. What will he be called. ??? Have you something in mind?
Each task has its own trolley.... so a Mercedes car is right on track.
This is what I needed, A little Bri guy, and chill. Best part of the day.
I haven't even seen today's video, the title may say it all and I am laughing!
Wonderful video. Safe trip. You will look great driving your new car.

You and Dan in his car could do the London to Brighton Rallye🤣🥰 hope Pascal doesn’t sulk with another friend to share his garage 🤞🤞 safe trip

Compared to the Riley that Mercedes is the epitome of rational..Have a fun trip. Although as a German I have to say we would've loved a visit from Pascal.
Yeah, yeah, you just wanted to pose in it!! 😂 (and why not, it is a lovely car 🚗 )

I can't wait the moment you have to buy a Boat, Brian 😄. Beautiful Mercedes. Enjoy your trip. Cheers.
Then it'll be a helicopter after that 😆

Hi Brian, oh you do make me laugh with your wee ramblings and how you never really know what your going to be doing😂. Good man Pascal for getting his certificate 👏🏼👏🏼🇨🇮
Loving the new car. Have a safe trip and a lovely time.
Congrats on Pascal passing the inspection and now you have a Benz! It was time for the Peugeot to go as you said. Good video Brian like your tinkering around the shop and mowing the grass.

Central France is nowhere near the gulf stream, it's nearer the Med and not very mountainous
Beautiful. Enjoy that road trip!
I'm so glad you treated 17-year-old Brian with a Mercedes. Of course, it's just a perk that you get to drive it, too, I'm sure. It think I would need to name it Silky (SLK), maybe just Silk. Probably the same thing everyone calls their SLK, but it fits!

Enjoy! And congratulations to Teenage Brian on his successful purchase.
This video reminds of times when I've had a few glasses of wine, then decide to do a DIY project around the house.
Congratulations Pascal! Looking forward to the trip! Well done
Are you sure you’re not part of my family … I do everything you do and say 😂 poor you
Omg I love your new car that’s sooo cool 😎
I’ve done exactly that went in for a sensible family car, and come out with a sports car😂
Congratulations Pascal winner winner chicken dinner ❤❤❤
I’m all and packed/ready for our roadie 😊
Well done pascal 😊
your barn is massive. I'm sure it was a huge buying point for you
Sure is, looks like an aircraft hangar 😂
Old Canadian lady here again… me and my friend would have liked teenage Brian!!!!
ohhhh, so excited, 2 seater, fancy and just your style.
Goodness! Didn’t see the Mercedes coming. Enjoy your road trip to Germany in the new car😊
I still miss it,😢
Have a good trip!
So funny - love the new car for the teenage Brian, good for you, safe travels, we are coming along. 😄
Very posh. Hope it runs as good as it looks.
Would you please show us on video how to sharpen with the wet stone?
OMG😂😂😂 Ich wünsche dir eine schönes Wochenende in Deutschland. Wir fahren immer 2 Tage durch Frankreich bis wir in Deutschland ankommen. Es ist ein langer Weg, der sich aber lohnt ❤
Balsam fir has one of the best smells! Western Red Cedar is pretty great too. Your coatroom I'm a fan of natural so just varnish or mildly stain the wood.
Edwardian Pitch pine is wonderful
Personally, I would Invest in a hydraulic top link. I purchased one off flea bay for about £120. A game changer when swapping attachments
Love the Car Darlin , please be kinder to teenage Brian he knew what your heart desired enjoy your journeys safely / protected with abundant health happiness & being in love with your ride .
Ms Doll 🥂
Love the new wheels, I think you'll grow into it. Happy driving ! 😊
