@SweatElite, you absolutely rock. To see these elite athletes "in the wild", running on tracks and in parks just like we do, is everything. Thank you for recording all these.
Lauren not only broke the South Boulder Creek parkrun record by 92 seconds, she broke the women's American parkrun record by 37 seconds. Gwen missed the previous record by just one second on a training run, 10 days after arriving at altitude! These women are straight fire.
Wow, that’s so cool Gwen goes to Parkrun. I volunteered for my local Parkrun three weeks ago. Think I would’ve had a heart-attack if I saw Gwen Jorgensen show up. 👟
I ran this Park Run, it was awesome, I came 2nd last. Elite and Professional athletes are, as Gwen said, just "normal people". The more we treat them like that and don't impose on their lives, the more we will see of them. Well done for volunteering, I need to again soon.
I so love that Gwen introduced herself as a normal person. However, standing in the presence of an Olympic gold medalist, even in Boulder is not a normal thing. Gwen is such a boss. Thanks for another great video, Sweat Elite.
How did I only find this channel recently? Amazing content each time. Great content with some good questions but without intruding on the athletes’ workout. Love it.
parkrun course in boulder looks fun. parkrun in the US needs a lot more attention, it doesn't seem to have grown in the US as it has in other parts of the world to only have 30 people seems incredible thanks for shining a light on parkrun in the US
The parkrun model - free entry, no medals, no winner, volunteer-led, no payments to landowners, no-one profiting, no advertising or sales at events. That's a difficult sell to the US
Just for participation comparison to my local park runs in north east England this past weekend: Town Moor Park Run: 446 finishers, times from 15:57 to 56:58 South Shields Park Run: 232 finishers, times from 17:45 to 59:18 Whitley Bay Park Run: 388 finishers, times from 17:00 to 517
The running pace rhythm is always good . no music can beat this rhythm. I also love running but I was jogging before I subscribe this channel. Now I am running .4 minute mile training .
This was nice to see. Gwen has gotten some flak over on letsrun (a fairly toxic website so no surprise) so as someone not familiar with her was good to see she's pretty down to earth and putting in the work. Good luck to her in the future. Looks like a good training setup.
Nice run, I had predicted 17:15! By the way, when you wear the Stryd pod on the Alphaflys, it moves sideways a bit which messes up the data. I usually put a cable tie to the side so it stays in place.
I know. I ran Whistler in Canada in peak holiday season .. 21 people. I ran Milton Keynes in January (UK winter) 1240 people. Different experiences for sure but never ran a parkrun I didnt like.
Non-runners driving by wouldn't recognize her. They'd just see a bunch of randos out running. Runners, on the other hand, would get it right away. 16:55 for 4.97km is impressive.
Recovery should alway be a perceived 1-3 out of 10 effort. Obviously they are able to jog along there at a pace that they are doing that but physically still moving quickly. It may be required for some to walk to recover properly

I absolutely agree. It's like training with the athletes.
Agree. Can’t get enough. It’s quite motivating

I love how these athletes pound the roads so hard and fast that my auto-captions just recognise their cadence as “applause”
the shoes they are using at the moment (nike next% tempo) has been known for that pounding sounds though, because the midsole is quite stiff
No heel rubber so those are Alphaflys

Now that Hocker is a pro, you should take a road trip to Eugene and film a workout out there. It would be sick if you can pull it off.
I second this
Cole is coming off a very long season, so he is likely just doing easy runs at this time
The New Gen x Sweat Elite team up?! I’ve been dying to see that

I love the coach talk portion of the vids, gives great insight
Yorkshire bloke directing the Parkrun. Good lad 🇬🇧
Champion lad!

Wow two uploads in one day. You have just made my day

Loved this one so much. Raw running and coaching! So awesome to see!!
Is Gwen wearing a Continuous Glucose Monitor on her arm? Curious about her data from that and how she uses it!
Good for Gwen, getting her own coach, and a likable one at that. Good coverage too. Boulder looks like the place for Gwen.
Really enjoyed watching this video: so motivational and instructive. Great work, too, by Matt Fox.

Their recovery run pace is my tempo pace.
their warm up is my interval pace 🤣
Gwen is fun to watch, hope she will do well in the marathon this time.
My local parkruns in the UK get 300-800 people. It seems crazy to have them that small in America.
I know. I ran Whistler in Canada in peak holiday season .. 21 people.
I ran Milton Keynes in January (UK winter) 1240 people.
Different experiences for sure but never ran a parkrun I didnt like.
It’s unbelievable isn’t it.
Amazing! Best wishes for your training!
What an incredible place to train . I do my park run in the hL but Colorado looks beautiful.
I can watch this girl run for hours. Her pace, stride, breath… just beautiful!
Non-runners driving by wouldn't recognize her. They'd just see a bunch of randos out running. Runners, on the other hand, would get it right away. 16:55 for 4.97km is impressive.
My goodness, holding a conversation at the pace!
How noisy are the alpha fly's?
awesome stuff, keep up the great work
@8:37 I'm pretty sure that jog recovery is my 10K race pace :D
Glad the SoBo Rd underpass was dry that day :D
When Gwen Jorgensen turns up to your local Parkrun 😂
Two videos a day?
I like it.
As others have commented, their 'jog" recovery looks pretty rapid to me (club runner) 😃 What sort of pace are they running that recovery?
Recovery should alway be a perceived 1-3 out of 10 effort. Obviously they are able to jog along there at a pace that they are doing that but physically still moving quickly. It may be required for some to walk to recover properly
It seems between 4:30-5:00/km pace.
What the meaning of park run? Like a tempo run?
www.parkrun.us/
One of my favorite athletes
This looked like a good session. Really cool course too!
Greetings Gwen, I knew that sooner or later they were going to introduce you here, good, keep going and never take off 🤙🏽🤙🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Last 2 weeks I 've been busy with my exam....Now I am free and got few sweat elite vids to binge on.
I see parkrun isnt as popular in the US as it is in Australia. My local parkrun is always 300-400 people
back to back🤩🤩
Loved the way the girls just yacked the whole workout 😅
I think of you both as superhuman. To jog ( during recovery) at that speed and giggling and talking so casually
them alpha flys make i distinctive noise on landing
Are her knees canted inwards? When she runs I got distracted looking at her form.
I wonder if that kind of form hurts.
Unbelievable to see how great athletes can steam along against mere mortals😃
It must be nice to have friends who run and enjoy long distance. So rare where I'm from.
Good god Lauren really turning it on for the camera.
Your "jog" is faster than most when they are flat out!
Wish my park run course was that empty
Come run parkrun USA at some point. All but three or four of our parkruns are small.
I would like to know height and weight of the athletes as well
I am 5'6 and 116lb (Lauren)
Excellent well done Gwen & lauren cheers Hi fives Sasu lauren, gwen
Ohhhh wtf there’s parkrun in Bolder!!!!!
Bobby is such a sympathic person. Gwen should improve her running form ...
March Marathon huh? Woodlands?
Best ASMR
Unsolicited camera advice - osmo pocket. regardless, awesome raw footage and insight.
lauren running high on her toes or what? she has massive knock knees
🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
