I bought the Profumo hype train after using the OG since 1999. Original formulations of OG were UNTOUCHABLE! But Profumo just seems a bit off to me. I wear, and enjoy it at times but it comes off as a bit harsh and trying to hard. Conceptually, it’s amazing and hopefully this new Parfum address’s the polarizing characteristics of Profumo.
ah... so disappointed... profumo was what REALLY got me into the frag game.. sad to see such a classic banger get discontinued.. rest in peace

I just found out the 2.5 bottle alone is a solid $160!!! That's $60 more than a 2.5 Profumo. Also most don't realize Profumo was already a Pure Parfum concentration. So it's not like they just created their very first Parfum with this release and they more or less confess on the website that this is basically just Profumo tweaked slightly and repackaged. That basically leaves me with one big question. Why the enormous price increase? This has got to be the greediest fragrance scandal I've seen since Creed started watering down Aventus to a shadow of it's former self. This fragrance should be boycotted because of that, but unfortunately as we all know people will buy it anyway.
Profumo is the best they've ever done. Huge mistake taking that away. What we never needed was Profondo Lights or the EDP.

I think they wanted to discontinuu the Profumo and sold a variant like Profumo and say its a new parfum. But they make the same mistake like YSL with La nuit de l'homme variant. But i hate the management of Armani becoause of this kind of confiusing decisiins.
I agree ridiculous price and it should be left on the shelves . My wife just purchased this for me from Dillard's and after hearing reviews it's going right back. I still have much of my profumo and the original which still is a great cologne.

Interesting, one influencer says it’s just like Profumo another that it’s basically Essenza and now Special Blend 🤔 I’m intrigued to try it out.
A lot of people in the fb fragrance group I’m in also say either essenza or special blend…I haven’t smelled either so I wanna try it, plus I’m low on Profumo

Profumo is the best this line ever had. Not weak. Not the same ol' same ol'. Calling this Profumo "refined" is a little "sus" to me. There is a reason Profumo is hard to find... people love it. And they want to create more hype.
I’m all for back up bottles…. If it makes sense. I have a decent library of frags maybe one back up bottle of the OG Profondo will be enough. Something like Sauvage elixir I feel one bottle is enough to last a lifetime.

AdG was reformulated in 2019-2020 and they get rid of the magnetic cap and the text on the bottle was also changed from chrome to grey-white.
It was never reformulated, you can check the formula code after the ingredients. Changes to the bottle does not automatically mean reformulation.

@@zerofallen059 i think it refers to the reviewers on you tube, I didn't have the luck to hear it in 2015, but even though it was reformulated, the essence is that. .perhaps the intensity of the perfume has changed is a shorter duration

People that wander into a store and buy ADG have no idea what EDT, EDP, or Parfum mean. They basically color-code the bottles and make them darker. As long as they don't kill Profondo they can play around with the main line.

On me its enouth. Not like profumo with 12 h but i think it was like 6h my skin (by then i had to shower so propably at least 8).

I love Profumo but only the first 2 hours... after that the scent just changes or dissapears... maybe it's because of my skin type🤷♂️ Still is my fav
The minimum hours that i get from this masterpiece are : +8 hours on my skin and +12 hours on my clothes .😅

Got mine from macys it smells so good my new favorite cologne of all time just off smell to new for me judge performance, sillage projection longevity etc. I’ve never smelled Profumo but I could only imagine because from what I hear Profumo is better if that’s the case gotta get my nose and hands on it

It is basically a weaker, lighter, more citrusy Profumo. I prefer the old one.

I hope Armani does not discontinue Profondo. I worry they'll reformulate it to just re-release a watered-down version of it (like Profumo & the Parfum) since they are shifting toward refillable bottles.
As far as discontinuation goes my bet is the next one is Profundo Lights. Which is a shame because it's really good. I don't think regular Profundo will be discontinued because that's Armani's signature Blue fragrance that competes with Sauvage, BDC, Y EDP, Dylan Blue, etc etc.

I feel Profondo has already been reformulated 😮 which is a shame because it’s my favorite of all the ADG flankers. I received a gift set last Christmas and it does not perform well unfortunately.

Keep in mind the fragrance won't make you sexy. It will be your character, actions and looks. But in my opinion Acqua di Gio Parfum would be more "sexy" in the way that you mean it.

Idk if its only my skin but when I tried it in perfumery it lasted for solid 40 minutes and vanished like it was never there, also bottle was leaking.

I tried it out and honestly it smells redundant and totally doesn’t smell like Profumo! It smells more like the EDP but with supreme performance, O honestly don’t like how those new ones smell. The Profumo, the EDT and Profondo Lights are the best, all the rest smells exactly the same. All have a smokiness (I don’t mean incense), which I don’t like because in the drydown they’re all the same. If you can get the Profumo and Profondo Lights if you can get your hands on them as they are discounted gems and unique!

I got this perfume out of hype but this is not worth it . I have never really tried the old batch which is the most sought after . I think it does not last long or its longetivity is questionable . Lets see i jist got this 2 days. I now have to look for another perfume .

Profumo was very cool, love at first breath. But OG Adg will still be in 1st place for me. A sharp explosion of citruses at the beginning, then flowers with aquatic chords, on a base of musk - a Masterpiece. And a new Parfum is not needed, with this price and simply no durability.
Tried new aqua di gio parfum and think it's a step down from parfumo. Parfumu to me is stronger and had more depth and was complex. New Parfum seems flat and less complex. I think there was something expensive in parfumo and they penny pinched and created parfum. Maybe I am crazy but parfum smelt boring and kind of faint on my skin. I am buying all the parfumo left in stock.
