just a tip for future tutorials, UV mapping is a way healthier way to control UV scale rather than the Mapping node. and also adding PBR textures or at least bump/normals to materials is another thing that should have been shown. 1 more thing blender compositing is good for a lot but probably not glare. pretty easy to add glare in things like premiere pro or wtvr software
wtf. its a shame i havent found this channel before. Gave extra notes, shortcuts, free tips, clear explaination. thats what i call a tutorial. props to u for making this
THIS IS SO COOL !!! and the tutorial is very easy to follow for a beginner !! ❤❤❤ thank you so much its so inspiring and motivating to have access to such a great tutorial✨️✨️✨️
This tutorial is so good! Very concise and clear. You really facilitate an easy understanding in making a project like this. It feels manageable for a newbie! Good stuff my friend. Can’t wait to try to make my own Backrooms animation!
BTW, for 13:42, you can also click "Cube projection," which works well for boxy maps like this, but may not work for something like a turning hallway or smth. The backrooms can be weird lol
This is really good, although i recommend using pbr maps alot more often, gives it more realism. Cube projection is also sometimes better then uv, but it's mostly preferences
Instead of using the mapping scales, you can use cube projection! Just incase you don't know how, just select all of the walls and then head over to UV editing and press 'U' on your keyboard and choose the cube projection, then press S and move your mouse in a direction where the wallpaper is going smaller!
A faster way to do the baseboards is to duplicate the walls (keep position), squish it down and position it just on top of the grid. Then (and heres the magic part), apply the *Solidifier* modifier to the baseboards with offset to -1 so it extrudes inwards into the layout. Make it quite thin, and give it a material.
First, take off your camera shake, then after you’ve done your navigation and you’re happy with it and everything, put the camera shake back on. I think the reason it says that error, is it because camera shakeify puts the camera at a restricted place when making the shake key frames.

@@fgzethefzg dude i never did the only thing that worked for me was rendering the black and white out and then also rendering out the same clip but without the black and white and then going into capcut and overlaying them onto each other

hi, does this vhs effect still work for you ? For me it has a lot of vertical white lines in the final render. A lot of people seem to be commenting on the RUclips video of the vhs effect that they have the same problem. These comments appear like a year ago saying that its outdated. As your video is fairly new, i was wondering what blender version you are using or if you experience this problem ? Would be good to get it to work because its the best vhs effect i have come across. Cheers

Hey so why when I try to view my lighting effect, everything is partially lit and I can't actually see the light coming from the specified light source. It looks just like it does normally, just a little more polished ty
Make sure your second keyframe, where the camera is at its final position, is at the end of the timeframe. You can click and drag the second keyframe, and the further away it is from the first one, the slower your camera will go!
that little XYZ circle thing that you use to to pick your perspective, whats that called? I somehow managed to make it disappear and it won't come back D:

For my absolute unit of a 8GB RAM computer, it could totally handle it 😎 Edit: On a serious note though, I do push my laptop to its absolute limit with my renders. I mostly do photorealistic planet’s and can still manage with such a low memory surprisingly. It may take hours for a single frame lol 😂 but it’s fine for now until I get something more powerful.
Great!! More power to you in creating high quality animations. You can certainly increase the pixel resolution and samples on your video, and it will look better that way.
Wow!! That’s amazing. If you’re using Cycles as your render engine, that time to render is great! My equipment isn’t cutting edge, it’s exciting to see what new specs can do now!

I'd recommend adding a little bit more camera shake, and vary the movement speed when walking longer distances. Some parts slower, some faster.

See if your render engine is set to Eevee-if it is, be sure to switch it to Cycles!
Does this need a high graphics card or can it work on less powerful ones?
