If you want a shaky camera effect but you don't want to use a phone you can assign random noise to the camera Euler rotations in the Graph editor tab of blender. That's what i use to create my found footage. Nice video though thanks to you i'm now able to wander in the backrooms.

probably not the place to ask, but when I try to create a new material it's all red. Like everything. Even stuff I haven't applied a material to is red. My materials make themselves red upon being created.

I watched a full 2 hour tutorial on this and was lost and could not do it but this somehow worked better

to make the room for the backrooms you could easily scale the cube and delete a side of it

Let me just say I owe you so much! You and Kane are the reason I got into blender animation. I’ve always wanted to make stuff like this for as long as I could remember and your tutorials literally made that possible. I’ve learned almost everything about blender because of you, some stuff as simple as grabbing and scaling. THANK YOU! And amazing animations.

My shadeing does not work

This is a good tutorial but there are many unexplained stuff that I had to figure out myself as a beginner like I didn’t know why I had a black screen in the composing it turns out I had to render one frame by clicking f12 I had to ask ChatGPT 😭

I found it easier to add noise to the camera so it generates wobbling in all directions, but your way is good too!

I like the movie. It gets so much right but the changing of the title to john Carter was a terrible decision that annoys me to this day I wish they would change its title to a princess of Mars. Second thing he did wrong was rewriting alot of Edgar Rice Burroughs story. The movie has three beginnings. A prologue on mars, a prologue in early twentieth century America and then the movie goes back to the begin the main story in the wild west before getting the Mars. Other things that annoyed me was the character played by Mark strong appearing at random to give long boring exposition. I think a female villain/temptress representing the isis goddess cult would have worked better as a, foil to Déjà Thoris romance with Carter would have been more interesting. I also didn't like the lead who played Carter, Taylor Kitch. He played the role well but he didn't have the star power to pull it off and have us rooting for him. I thought Lynn Collins as Déjà Thoras and Daniel Dafoe were great. The special effects and world building were really great as well. I loved the music and the old school pulp fiction vibes. I think the should have leaned into the romance and action more because these were the strongest elements of the original story and the movie. It should have been Called a, princess of Mars and sold as a big epic love story. It's funny because Avatars main plot is almost identical and it was a massive hit. It embraced the action and fish out of water love story and audiances loved it.

This was my first project with Blender and got me to finish it without quitting because it was overwhelming

Instead of using the mapping scales, you can use cube projection! Just incase you don't know how, just select all of the walls and then head over to UV editing and press 'U' on your keyboard and choose the cube projection, then press S and move your mouse in a direction where the wallpaper is going smaller!
