Years later I broke my arm very badly. Such a relief when the doctor demonstrated the safety of the newer cast saws by turning it on, and showing that it could not cut through his own skin.

Precisely. The Oscillating tool works the same way. It vibrates at a rapid pace and is able to cut wood, metal, and etc. but won’t your skin. It won’t cut your hands unless you intentionally go out of your way to cut it or it comes into close contact with a part of your body where there is only bone under your skin and not much fat or muscle for the “blade” to hold on to - example: Elbow. The blade has a small amount of grip to the skin, but is just actually moving the skin part it touches a lil bit back and forward, so there is no cutting. Did I get it right?
@@Primetime65 I own an Oscillating tool. I have tried it few times. Instead of cutting your finger, it vibrates it if you press your finger hard enough against it. It does that because your skin will have a tight hold on at the tip of the tool.
It doesn't cut because if the cast is applied correctly with the right amount of undercast padding, the padding protects the skin. Yes, the cast saw does oscillate, but a cast should NEVER be removed with the blade being drawn along the cast like the video shows. The cast saw can cut when dragged, especially on fragile skin such as the elderly. It does also heat up due to the friction against the cast material. Thus, it can then, in turn, cause a friction burn on the patients skin. These saws must be used with the utmost respect and with the correct supervision and training by a casting technician or an orthopaedic practitioner. Anybody that informs the patient that the cast saw CANT CUT is inexperienced in using the saw. It shouldn't cut if used correctly.
I heard a story of someone talking about their experience with getting their cast cut off, they told the doctor how painful it felt and the burning smell but the doctor and their parents brushed it off. When they pulled the cast, they were greeted with a layer of their skin being torn , stuck to the cast After that story I tried m6 best to not get my bones broken
Anyways, here a brownie recipe. Ingredients: - 1 cup unsalted butter - 2 cups granulated sugar - 4 large eggs - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour - 1/2 cup cocoa powder - 1/4 teaspoon salt - 1 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional) Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350ºF (175°C) and grease a baking pan. 2. Melt 1 cup butter, mix with 2 cups sugar. 3. Add 4 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla; mix well. 4. Sift in 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup cocoa, and 1/4 tsp salt; stir. 5. Optional: add 1 cup nuts or chocolate chips. 6. Pour into the pan, bake for 25-30 mins. 7. Cool completely, cut into squares, and enjoy your brownies!
I broke my left arm 5 times in the first 10 years of my life. The most painful part of getting the cast off is, weirdly enough, going back to living with a "naked" arm. You get so used to that slight weight permanently on your arm that it's strange when it first pops off and you have full control again.
Nope, it actually cut me. Sometimes the skin is too dehydrated due to the cast being on for a long time and it gets cut. I had a cast on my leg and when they cut it off I was screaming that they were cutting into my leg. The doctor didn't believe me, but when he finished taking off the cast I had a bleeding cut almost as long as the cast itself.
Thank you. I have had multiple surgeries and got slightly bruised only once by cast blade. I have always been thinking the doctors were magicians cause of their precision in using a mechanised 'spinning' saw to cut casts without cutting my skin. Now i lnow better.
It does! My doctor told me this and when I had my cast cut, they rewrapped it so I would have room for swelling and when I finally got both casts of 6 weeks later, I had a permanent scar that still occasionally burns.
My doctor did this to me when I was 7 and I screamed the whole time. Nobody believed it was actually cutting my skin until the cast actually came off and everyone felt terrible.
For those who dont know: a man was riding a bike down a forest while recording it to post to his youtube channel, during the video he kept hearing voices in the bushes but brushed it off as nothing, he posted the video when he got home, a few hours after the video was posted a viewer slowed it down and saw a supposed "person hiding in the bushes" the video got lots of views so then he went back into the forest, as you can see in this clip, however about 10 minutes into recording he simply stopped recording, this left his viewers confused, however, the police found his body in a bush, it was brutally disfigured and mashed up. I'll add on a bit more of what happend at 100 likes. Ok here it is: while the police were investigating the body they realized that it was not the same body, thanks to some characteristics, the body had actually belonged to someone else, however the mans viewers had got suddenly got a notification on thier phone, he had posted a video much to thier shock, the thumbnail was black and the title was "HELP" the video was the man barely being able to breathe asking for help, The viewers alerted the police, who immediately send 2 teams to investigate the forest, while investigating they had found a bike next to a campfire, much to thier horror a body was being cooked on it... Part 3 at 200 likes.... 500 likes? Fine, Heres 2 more parts........ The body was was identical to the mans, clothes and everything, The police decided this was the mans and ended the case, much to the disappointment of thier viewers, however one viewer had still lots of questions, and was unpleased with the polices work, so he took it to himself to go to the forest and find out what was truly happening, the man set up a backpack, bike, and go pro, to record some footage of what hallend while he was there, the viewer set off into the forest not knowing what horrrors would await him deep inside the forest. he said goodbye to his dog and ventured off. Heres part 4 since my original comment got overliked...... As the viewer was in the forest he heard lots of voices, similar to the man, but he stayed calm, the viewer was about 20 minutes into his forest exploration journey, when he heard a scream for help, far away from the distance, he immediately got there as soon as he could, there was nothing, absolutely nothing, he was now scared knowing there was something else in this forest that wasnt the man, but he still contiuned his journey, he kept getting getting dizzy and nauseous, but he kept going, sooner or later, he heard a branch snap behind him, and suddenly froze, looked back, and saw a supposed "white figure, with a red covered mouth", he got away as soon as possible, sheeking shelter, behind the many trees...... Part 5 at 600 likes...... Here it is, thanks for the support, im sure you wont thank me back........ While the viewer was hiding behind the trees, he pulled out his camera and took a picture of the creature, however he had forgot to turn off’the flash, and it immediately alerted the creature towards him, without any hesitation, he jumped onto his bike and quicky drove away, not looking back once, while not looking back once, the viewer was absolutely terrified of the picture he had took, the creature was tall, lanky, somewhat skinny and humanoid, it had obviously been the cause of all the deaths in the forest, he still believed the man was alive however, so as he promised to himself he would find the man, he kept getting nauseous again and hearing voices, he kept going deeper into the forest, until he saw something, a bike? A go pro? He immediately got of his bike to investigate, he pulled out his go pro? And started recording explaining the whole situation, However after finishing recording, he was adding the sound to the video when he realized, in the backround of the video there was the creature looking at him, he turned around got on his bike, and as quickly as possible got out of the forest..... If you want part 6 just ask in the replies.......EDIT: i know i asked you to ask in the replies, but i did not expect this much, NOW, please stop asking for part 6 i WILL eventually add it. Here it is........... While the viewer was trying to find his way out of the forest, the creature was chasing him, the viewer was absolutely terrified and at this rate just wanted to get out of the forest, he was stuck in the forest, he eventually escaped the creature, once again sheltering under all the trees, but was still stuck in the forest, however, a few minutes later, he heard the man's scream for help, the viewer quickly got on his bike to get to the man, this time he knew it was him as the "creature" was miles away, he got on his bike, took a deep breath, and drove off to where he heard the scream, however, right before he was about to get to the man, something was off.........
They told me before the cut my cast that it wouldn’t cut through my skin and I said okay but it did. Then I told the doctor that it cut my skin and she told me nope it probably your scars from another time, the saw doesn’t cut skin. But my arms has 3 different cut spots it was bleeding from.😀
They need to tell kids who have broken a bone that the saw doesn’t actually hurt you. I remember when I was like 7 or 8 and broke my leg while skating, I felt anxious that the saw would hurt me while I was getting it removed.
It does hurt. I got my cast removed last Summer, and the saw cut right through to my bone. There was blood spraying everywhere. In the end, I died of shock. Be careful.

Did I get it right?
Yes. Try it
@@sixgunantoine7359 Winner Winner Chicken Dinner 4U......👍
@@Primetime65 I own an Oscillating tool. I have tried it few times. Instead of cutting your finger, it vibrates it if you press your finger hard enough against it. It does that because your skin will have a tight hold on at the tip of the tool.
really? the "oscillating tool" goes back and forth? did you figure that one out on your own?
Thankfully zack made us lose a fear this time 🙏🙏🙏
It doesn't cut because if the cast is applied correctly with the right amount of undercast padding, the padding protects the skin.
When they pulled the cast, they were greeted with a layer of their skin being torn , stuck to the cast
After that story I tried m6 best to not get my bones broken
Still I fuckin scared about this shit!!

I broke my left arm 5 times in the first 10 years of my life. The most painful part of getting the cast off is, weirdly enough, going back to living with a "naked" arm. You get so used to that slight weight permanently on your arm that it's strange when it first pops off and you have full control again.
I'm 70 I never broke a bone in my life
I think you might need a new hobby 😂

@@LimitingAbyss1 his hobby is wearing casts though...

I have scars on my skin from a Dr cutting my cast off when I was a kid. Maybe this is new technology lmao
Fun fact: casts are itchy af and that saw feels soooooooo good on skin that hasn't been scratched in 6 weeks.
Even if the doctors explained to me that the saw is not dangerous to my arm, I would still refuse to be used on me.😂😂
