You can read on Aurora's socials what the song is about but in a nutshell: We don't need to change the way we are (weirdness, quirkiness, strangeness, being a part on LGBT+ and etc), we don't need a cure for human nature.
Also, Aurora said that this song is actually quite old (not as old as Exist For Love, but still a 2 y.o. song) and it doesn't represent how the album will sound like. It's just a one-off silly/fun production. But still the album will be quite different from the other eras.

Had this song stuck in my head for days now. She is fabulous. She can do no wrong in my eyes. She also did a live stream after party video after the video premier if you want to see it, a few people have posted it online. She is wearing that outfit in the live stream. And does a dance tutorial at the end. It's cute as usual.
Here is what I think: This song actual has possibilities to get traction. Firstly, it's great, because Aurora, doh. But It also has dancehall potential. And then I think people will love to do remixes of that rythm. And let's not forget of the massive TikTok potential of that dance going viral. She already made a dance instruction video :)

I believe/ think she did this song in this style purposefully. Knowing it would be used in dance places...from bars to raves.
Not necessarily to expand HER fan base, but to expand the message of the song.
But sadly ( for some) her album is not going to be songs in this style. She was asked about it. Which song or songs represent what your album will sound like. She said Murder 54321...now she does that song 3 different ways/ styles...sooooo?

No matter what, everybody should feel, and be treated, as equals, because we really are, no matter what. Sexuality, religion, politics, mental illnesses, anything used to discriminate, are less important than the fact that we are all humans, and we should feel free to be whatever we are. In her live, presenting this song, Aurora Aksnes said something close to this. And i totally agree.

My favorite way of using dance is getting a bunch of really good dancers and telling them "Do weird fun shit with your body." They actually have the skill to know how to make something look weird, and when you let them do it I will never be disappointed.

The synth sample in the chorus is the same progression as 'The Office' from the movie 'Brazil's soundtrack. It's super popular xD definitely an earworm.
Maybe the image in this video is Aurora's crystal ball, where she could foretell the future...I believe it's a hint about side B of this single (after listening to it). But since it's well known that Aurora starts working on the next album as soon as she finishes one, she can even hint about her fifth album, if not her fourth. She's a real fortune teller!!!

2.) Aurora describes her childhood in ways that strongly suggest she might have ADHD or ASD.
3.) Aurora has tics/stims (i.e.: head shaking, arm movements, wide eyes) that folks made lots of rude comments toward so she highlighted them in her video as a way of saying she doesn't need to fix them nor does she want to.

At first I had difficulties with the sound of the chorus. Sounds a lot like 90s video game music.
But through the video and listening to it several times, I find the chorus as well as the rest really good.
Aurora said the song does not represent the album. It is quite separate, but it joins the story. Aurora herself finds the song quite ugly in a beautiful way. 😁
The song in general goes against institutes that offer a so-called cure for homosexuality. Which is still practiced today.
I think it's great that she's also pointing the finger (besides all the other reasons not to need a cure) at her critics here and against people who call others crazy or creepy or laugh at them just because they dress differently, have ticks or otherwise fall out of the norm.
All movements that are otherwise involuntary with her, she makes here with full intention.
Her wide open eyes, her hand movements, Shaking her head and her involuntary twitches.
"I don't need a cure for me"
The apple is from the Garden of Eden and Aurora likes to bite in.😁. Which brings us to the Christian faith and its views on what a love between two people should look like.
