Excluding the ン gets rid of the little delay between the two syllables which sounds kinda awkward. Also I just checked jisho.org and it agrees that runner in katakana is ランナー so take that for what you will
@@Honorablepleb To be fair, I've had another look at some similar words (gunner was the main one I checked) and the extra syllable is there too. Weird, I think it slows it down too much considering the "Ru" in "Homestar Runner" is the shortest syllable; katakana is supposed to be a phonetic transliteration and there are some absurd arbitrary choices in the way certain words are done - also if Google Translate says it's true, my reaction these days is to assume otherwise. My apologies!

@@basicallysnake Probably, but even if they did, you'd only have one scene, as Mario Paint could only save one drawing, animation, and song at a time. This animation is a whole bunch of different saves recorded and edited together - which was actually the intended way to use Mario Paint. Nintendo actually told people to hook their Super Nintendos into their VCRs so they could save their larger projects, drawings, and animations onto a VHS tape.
Is this the DVD version? They didn't have the scene with Homestar and Pom Pom at sunset, or the scene with The Cheat teleporting around on the Flash version.
For what they could do with Mario Paint, this came out pretty sweet given the limitations of said program.
