You are an absolute master. I have 100 hours in this game and almost everything you did was flawless and unknown to me! Why have become a king as my ambition? What a waste of time i thought just make a kingdom, OMG total game changer. Thanks for the best video on CK2!
I just crowned myself king of Sweden as the Lord of Vestergautland. Unforntunately both my guys died under suspicious circumstances and my line ended right after the well deserved great blot to celebrate my coronation. Fight me like men, cowards!
@@adityashrestha2774 only spend prestige/gold in the capital to build it up. You'll always keep it, despite gavelkind. Upon succession, you gain claims on all lost titles and should be able to gain them back in war, since your better capital should give you the edge. If you manage to capture 3 holy sites you can reform germanic paganism to swap away from elective gavelkind. You can see holy sites on the religion map mode.
@@ValentinP92 Then perhaps it was in a de Jure Kingdom that's not your primary title? If you hold Sweden as a primary title for example, you should never loose Uppland.
It's my first time playing CK II and I also started with Sidgurd! At the moment I'm King of Sweden and Denmark, and Fylkir. Now i'll give a few different tries to see how I can get primogeniture or at least a way of not having my kingdoms taken away by other sons. Tried going feudal but you lose A LOT of troops.
@@adityashrestha2774 I didn't. A few hours after this post my domains got ripped off by that damned inheritance law, losing the Kingdom of Denmark and at the same time being invaded by the Karling Blob. I got some experience playing other cultures and characters and I would recommend you to pick some Elective succesion law, having only one Kingdom title in your domain (or none at all and being an ULTRA powerful duke) and owning all the duchies in your de jure kingdom (if you are a duke, owning all the counties in your PRIMARY duchy). This will guaranty you some kind of stability until you go feudal.
@@francotejerina4524 yeah i began as sigurd too and now im king of denmark, norway sweden and fylkir whatever that means i think like the nordic pope?? Anyway i founded my new empire and went raiding to constantinople, rome, alexandria, london, paris, novgorod and a shit ton of other places and the guys 54 now and still healthy. Luckily i only have 1 heir, who turned into ragnar lothbrok somehow??? And all my other kids are bastards, im making progress towards legalism 3 and absolute tribal authority or whatever and that should allow me to be feudal and switch to primogeniture soon in this lifetime or the next.
@@adityashrestha2774 Wow, you did great in that gameplay! In my case, after losing half my kingdom just rage-quitted and stopped playing for a few months. After that I restarted as a count-tier vassal in the Karling kingdom and now I'm the one pullying the strings and managing the Karling dinasty like puppets xd. Regarding what you said: yes, Fylkir is like the "pope" of the reformed germanic, and an inheritable title. Before going feudal be sure you have a good relationship with your vassals (best done with a character in the middle of its reigning time so you avoid the opinion malus and have time to stabilize the kingdom for your heir). Also, be sure you have LOTS of gold. You'll need it until having a steady income by taxes. When reformed I choose Temporal leadership (wanted to have my Fylkirate in Rome, long term), Unyielding nature, Sons of Ragnarok and Equality doctrines.
Shame that Tribal Armies no longer work. This does take a bit longer to set up now. At least on the plus side, it is now Ragnar Lothbrok the one that forms the Kingdom of Sweden, so you get a bunch of prestige on a Beastly Character making expansion for the Scandinavian Empire much easier.
Ik its been awhile, would have loved a video on how exactly each reformation option for the religions able to be reformed works, and what the options say v.s. what they actually do
I am really looking forward to the random generated world too. I want to see what kind of awesome religions are going to come from that. One of my favorite things about the game is taking a small faith or heresy and bringing it to prominence. The new mechanics and random world will be perfect for that!
Quick and easy. tho i am struggling to raise my moral authority. i started as Romuva(lithuanians) and have it at ~30. didnt do this quick enough, so its a lot of work raiding
How did you get the gold? I can't raid those neighbors because they are friendly, and I am stuck at 60 gold. Edit: Nevermind, I just did not know how to raid.
