Great plate! First ride on it you’ll instantly feel it pushes more of the ski out of the water. It’s like driving a forby once you’ve installed a lift kit 😂 as a result I’ve noticed it’s a slightly drier ride too 👌🏻
Your comment about the lift kit definitely rings true..it's amazing how much higher the ski rides at the bow- it's a much drier and smoother ride in the chop
@BrisbaneKawasaki I have had the KS3 plate for a few months. I have the heavier LX. My ski is now a couple MPH faster than the friends I ride with; RXP-X 300 and GTX Limited 300 both with SCOM's. With this heavier ski and, maybe my heavier weight, I had only ever maxed out at about 14-14.5 psi of boost and around 7800 RPM. With the KS3 plate, I now regularly get 15-15.5 psi and 7900-8000 RPM.
@@JDsWaterWorldwhy does the supercharger “Push” more & allow a higher rpm? I put plates on my old stand up back in the day (when I was young). The last time I replaced plates on any ski. They definitely changed the ride. Allowed higher speeds (Presumably) only proven by riding against others. No factual data for me to prove that. But it certainly improved the ride.
@@scotthooper4170 It isn't the supercharger that allowed more RPM, it is the ski being further out of the water, equating to less drag on the machine. Since the supercharger is a direct drive with a belt, the max boost is tied directly to the RPM of the motor. The new plate means less drag on the ski, which means it is easier to hit higher RPM's, which means higher boost.
Great video JD.. hey the ks1 ride plate is such a big difference in performance compared whit the ks3? and what is better the ride plate or the intake grate, Which one you'll feel better performance.i'm want both, but little by little.. WHICH ONE I SHOULD BUY FIRST??too spencive for me to get both at the same time 😊
Well for the 2022+ Ultra 160 and 310 the KS3 plate is your only option at the moment- and it combines the best aspects of Kspeed's previous models. I noticed the most immediate change in handling and performance from the Ride plate. The intake grate doesn't necessarily improve speed- it does however help keep the pump loaded better in the chop. If I had to chose one, it would be the KS3 Ride plate- it's incredible and provides a very noticeable improvement to the ski's ride
Look forward to the ride review!! My baby is going under the knife in a few weeks when I get back in town. I'm not sure how you managed to get your dealer to give you that wire harness but mine absolutely refused to!! You have more pull than I do! My audio controlled shit the bed and they wouldn't give me that part either under warranty. I did speak to the service manager about it all and hopefully everything will turn out ok. He stated they have already done 4 wire harness replacements on the 22 Ultra LX's.
Damn, well, I figured it was only a matter of time until yours shit the bed as well. I think because you ride mostly and freshwater, it lasted way longer than mine. Well, hopefully they get your ski all squared away for you and do the job right.
@@JDsWaterWorld I detest with every fiber of my being that someone other than myself or YOU are working on my ski!!!😂 I honestly don't have high hopes that something won't be right when I get it back. Oh well
It's an International recall, if they look up your HIN it will allow them to order the parts for free from Kawasaki and they even get paid (not much) to fit them for you. Amplifier isn't a recall, but it's well known that lots are needing replacement. Just hit and miss on that part, if the ski in under warranty it should be a breeze. If you have no luck at dealer level, go higher.
I am making sure to complete multiple phases of testing in different water types, I should have everything edited and ready to post by the end of next week

I’ve found that every thing I get for my 22 -:310x is dam near IMPOSSIBLE to install.
