Thank you! The sound changes can be smooth when you record the direct signal and edit the sound transitions later. To be honest, this is more of a music video of me playing the song, showing that the tab is accurate and right. The playing and video is both real, but they’re different takes. I actually have a hard time trying to stay still enough when I play! 😃

@@erpaloinen That sounds like an awesome idea. You could also sell your tab transcriptions on Gumroad or the like. I buy tabs from a few guitarists like that. If you take any request I'd love to see you tab Marty's MIRACLE. Hands down one of my fav songs by Marty. Has alot of personal meaning to me. Anyway keep up the amazing work! I subscribed and look forward to whatever is next. Hopefully more Marty tabs. :)

I bought the BT of this song, but the file is not the same as the video, there are some orchestrations and piano missing. Wouldn't you have the same version as the video, just without the main guitar?

Are you using the GK3 onto a vg99 to tab? Killer job playing this? Actually are you using the vg99 to jump from guitar to guitar?
Thank you! Actually in this I’m not using the GK3 at all, this is all just regular electronics. I love that thing though!
@@erpaloinenwow, what are you using for tone? I was trying to g et t some of this with his TH-U plugins, but I know on this album he used a ton of vintage guitars and gear he wouldn't normally ever use. But seriously whatever you used in the tele, brilliant work. In my opinion this is the guitar song to be beat.
Also what pickups are in that tele? I have Suhr in mine. People couldn't believe I was using a single coil to play hard rock/hair metal stuff. We did all original, so my sound was mine to own, but the tele and it's feedback gave me a huge edge on things. :)
@@lorenmorgan1931 I think I fitted Dimarzio single coil sized humbuckers in this. I always have a hard time with single coils, I guess the sound I hear in my head almost always seems to be humbucker-based. There’s a coil split switch between the knob, sometimes I try it but always end up coming back!
I’m using amplitube to get tones, theres nothing all too crazy going on. I’m not that smart about tones to be honest…
@@erpaloinen Amplitube is amazing, and I own both it and the Tonex Max packs, but TH-U has really gotten me. I got the Marty Friedman pack and the amp sim just sounds amazing.
And that Lotus (Japanese Fender lawsuit guitar) Strat clone that I have, I have loaded with 3 rail pickups and split switches for each one. I switch based on what I am playing. But those Suhr pickups in the tele are like having a humbucker that sounds like a single coil. And instead I am using the GK3 now into the VG88 sitting on my desk. lol
My one question is do you use the GK to track your tabs? I have been thinking about getting the 99 for that feature, plus its pitch shifting and guitar modeling blow the vg88 out of the water.
@@lorenmorgan1931 Sounds great! I tried once using GK3 to tab out something, however in my case (I have a Roland GR-55) the software had no idea what string I was playing and just guessed wrong. Maybe some other device has got that sorted out better, I don’t know.
