- So this pool was emptied, acid washed and jet washed! Also the tile band needed re grouting! I think it came up pretty nice!! What do you think!!

Just curious why don’t you use the the main drain that’s built in the pool why do you use a portable drain?
Submersible pump works much faster and you don't need to use the existing pool system.
you could do with getting yourself a Wet vacuum cleaner with auto pump out for the bottom rubbish saving you time with a bucket, pump, brush ect and a wet vac and of course labour. ( I.e Numatic)
You should get a GoPro to attach to your head so you don't have to worry about dropping your phone in the water.

You clearly don't own a pool! This isn't abnormal, it isn't a "biohazard", this is what every pool looks like at the start of the season if it isn't drained at the end of the last. You saw the owner had a cover on it, they did what they were supposed to and winterized it properly. This is just what happens to a large body of water when you're not constantly pumping chlorine into it...
You're obviously a poor freak who can't afford to own a pool....

I LOVE your content but it has made me never want to own a pool. Yes, they look fun but they look like a lot of work. I can't believe I would actually not want to own a pool. Saying that, maybe an indoor one.
Lots of cost for sure, but a lot of just balancing chemicals etc.
It’s not that difficult nor expensive if you keep it up. People are lazy and can’t be bothered. There is absolutely no need to pay anyone to clean or maintain your pool.
Im a pool guy for a campus of 5 public pools, 4 of which are open year round indoors. Cleaning the outdoor at the beginning of summer is so satisfying and probably my favorite part of the job. This channel just gives me that feeling on demand. Love it.

Question is not "It is pretty" (yes it is) but "How long will it last". Grouting on top of old mould in the joints ? Could be back within 8 weeks.
I totally agree with this. A stronger treatment would've been healthier than just coving up for show
I'm no scientist, but Pretty sure he did an acid wash of the whole pool. I presume that should kill any mold bacteria and all that's left is the discoloured grout. Just my 1.5 cents worth 😎

I think he didn’t want the tiles coming off so they didn’t use a strong pressure wash. The chemicals do a lot of the work
It's only a 4hp engine, so probs doesn't do better than a average electric one around 1900 psi. He should get at least 7 or 8 hp that does like 4000 or more psi, get the job done quicker

Great videos! I don’t even have a pool and I have watched so many 🤣🤣 I find it interesting even with a pool cover, how many leaves and debris still get into the pool. I don’t think I would have the patience to maintain and outdoor pool because of the mess- would most likely prefer an indoor one lol

I would recommened using a pressure washer due to it being a jet wash but a lot wider.

Best thing to do is replace the tiles and regrout the whole pool to keep the mold and mildew abd algae away and yes a glaze to protect it

I worked as pool boy as a teen, did many of these, used muratic acid to clean the stains, no mask either :/
I just built a pool, and this evening I did the first clean up after a weekend of use. I kid you not I said. Clean the skimmers, do a bit of netting, check the chemicals, add the chemicals. Holla at your boy for the pool work!
So in the UK, they don't make pool companies install a ladder at the deep end of the pool? I believe in the US it has to have one or it won't pass inspection.

Is this normal when a pool isn’t used throughout winter season? Or has this pool been left for a long time? Curious!
I’ve had it happen but mostly when I didn’t get the cover off fast enough, and it got hot. Once it starts heating up you gotta get that cover off and treat the water. We had one year it was in the 70s in Dec which is unheard of. That year it was super green. But I got in a habit of uncovering a bit earlier than usual. Aroukd late April for NJ and then I had no green!
Job well done! I feel like the pressure washer could be more powerful to make work easier.

I did exactly that in a water flume sump at a theme park i worked at with almost exactly the same tools
Emptied the sump with a submersible pump, jet washed the sump out, then wet vac'ed the rest out 👍 🙂

If you do not sanitize the gasket with hypochlorite before joining, the gasket will soon fall off. first with acid and then with hypochlorite, cleaning well with the pressure machine between the two passes
All that old tile should be taken off and new tile put up before it's re grouted. Not grouted before you put new tile up. All that grout is going to come off when it gets wet.

2:28 your pump is missing a rope! The wire and hose aren’t meant to be used to lift/lower it, so it’s customary to tie a rope to the handle so you can lower it down and hoist it back out.

My guess is the owner did not want it filled. Probably the wrong time of year and did not want to maintain a full pool until they want to use it later on.

Hey man, have you ever had an experience going to open a pool and there’s something alive in there like fish or something? It’d be hard without a food source but you never know.

I'm a little bit confused because it doesn't say that this is a sponsored video however you keep referring to your vacuum as a Hoover. Hoover is a brand name, not an action, I assume they are sponsoring you because you keep referring to them?
If not, did you Chevrolet, Ford or Volkswagen to the place with the pool? what about the pump, are you Clarking it? same with the "PRESSURE WASHER" why do you say jet spray? your machine is also a Clark, so why not Clark it? British people are suppose to be so much more correct. maybe these free (I mean THree) examples will help me understand. it's sad that people are allowed to graduate School without being held to any standards.
why does your pool go green .if you put chlorine shock granules in when you close it down iput a winter cover on the water should stay clear all winter;even if you still want to empty the water makes it a lot easier to clean
As much as you have to drain pools, you'd think for labor time cost you'd be better with something bigger that would REALLY drain a pool. Just something I've noticed is all. Tiime is $$$!!!
Are these type of covers popular? We have a winter cover that is tough woven plastic / rubber, it's opaque so no algae grows (due to constant darkness). Cover it up in autumn, turn the pump timer off and leave until spring. Uncover, chlorinate, timer back on and you're good to go next season.

Not much care given to making sure there is no organic growth before adding grout...or making sure the grout scraped ftom the sides was fully mixed.
