    We have done this along time.. We use a glove and wrap with duck tape and cover the end to prevent concrete from ruining your saw.

    Pro-tip #2: Mark a scrap saw blade flat with the bottom of the foot at maximum extension. Remove the blade from the saw and cut the blade off about 1/2 cm shorter than the mark on the blade. Drill a hole through the blade. Install a nut and bolt through the blade so that, when installed, the head of the nut and the end of the nut/bolt do not contact the saw. Adding this small weight to the reciprocating mass will cause the saw to vibrate more and do a better and quicker job with vibrating the concrete.

    I've been trying to develop an idea for a concrete vibrator for small jobs, for a long time. But everything turned out very complicated. However, this video was like a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for posting this video.

    Don`t you need to vibrate the whole slab? Can you do that like this from the side with the sawzall?

    • @DecoCreteTV
      @DecoCreteTV  2 года назад

      This will work for vibrating forms only, you will need a pencil vibrator for the whole slab.

      you can try it but a pencil vibrator would probably work better in that case

  • @JarrettWilliams99
    @JarrettWilliams99 7 месяцев назад

    I would think you'd want to cut a scrap blade to where it barely contacts the form to really jostle the concrete

    • @DecoCreteTV
      @DecoCreteTV  7 месяцев назад

      Never tried that, it does work pretty good without any blade at all. Thanks for the suggestion!!!!

    Got to be the wrost idea for a slab. You need to learn how concrete works before thinking a recipacating saw will consolidate your ready mix for a finished slab
