The NEW battery powered MBW Inc ScreeDemon uses M-18 Lithium batteries to power this new type of vibrating screed.
The battery operated Screedemon is much quieter and lighter than most motor powered vibrating screeds.
There's no fumes so it's very good for inside jobs as well as outside ones.
All you need is a Milwaukee M-18 battery to power it, twist the throttle and you're in business.
The video shows us using the New ScreeDemon for the first time and I tell you my honest thoughts as to how it performed compared to the motor driven one.

Thinking about switching over to this from my gas screed. What do you think Mike? We pour 1-2 slabs a month mostly additions and the occasional whole house foundation. Also by watching your videos and your techniques using the wet pads I completely changed from doing elevation pins. My 48yard pour on a new home Im building this week went smoother than ever. Thanks again!!!
I’ve been involved in concrete in many forms over many years. This is fantastic. Excellently presented by all the team. This tool is worth it’s weight in gold.
i watched every single video you guys made , as a drywaller finisher i find concrete so fascinating and such an amazing product, i work with very sensitive and bridal product (drywall) and i love watching these when i get home.
Great lower back saving tool. Anything that's a fair price, is lighter, quieter and gets the job done like this is a winner.
I love the new technology, great to see it in action. we have it so easy these days! Nice work as always Mike.
Thanks 👍
Mike thanks for all your videos. They are always informative. Of course it's easy to screed with vibra screed than the old school way!!! Thanks again!
It is a lot easier!
You’re super talented and such a great Teacher Mike. I stumbled across your video and I am NOT a contractor or anything close to a concrete professional, but I am fascinated about it, you’re videos rock man. Blessings. Abe
Great review! Incredibly quiet.
Two thumbs up for the ScreeDemon! Thanks, Mike.
Thank you!
سلام کارتون عالیه از این دستگاه کجا گیرم میاد ممنون
Hey Mike and crew. Like 👍 all your videos. We are getting ready for a snow storm here in Davenport Iowa
Bummer, I'm ready for summer temps already.
Great show as usual man, I repair screeds for a living and I can tell you this is a great screed for all the right reasons and compared to other others it’s way quieter, no fumes, no gas, no broken pull chords. My only question is how long does it last on a single battery charge… Keep on rockin man…
Those men behind you do a great job raking , they say they make it easy ! So very true ! Enjoy !
We literally were debating on getting this one today!
Used to use this at a parking garage for a hospital 3 years ago. Went to a different company after the job finished and never seen one again
You guys rock another grate video
fascinating !!! thanks for making this vid to show us
Those 2 guys scraping is louder then the machine!>>>> wow what a great tool!! Back up battery? ... great video!
I already have Milwaukee battery tools so yes, I have plenty of back-ups
I like that and 5lbs pounds lighter i have a shockwave.Great job again Mike.Tony from New Mexico
Thanks 👍
Looks like it works good, nice to see new stuff to make are job easier. Always wanted to try a rattle stick on a bull float.
That battery operated screen would come in handy on indoor jobs .
I would consider buying one especially for those indoor industrial jobs. Where we are not allowed to contaminate the air with carbon monoxide.
Yes it sure would!
Gday boss, enjoy all your videos mate, thanks for doing them wnd please keep them coming.
-Piete from down under
Glad you like them!
You can really WOW me, that’s the coolest, I know it’s hard, I’ve done my fair share. I was setting up to repair a set of brick stairs & I removed the loose brick, chiseled out the debris, then I leaned in brushing it off & click popped my sciatic man that tore me up real bad, but I did indeed finish the with my crews help, then it went like this 6 months at the chiropractor plus P.T. Good news back to it, but I’m sticking to my love carpentry
Wow game changer.. love it👍
The rake man was on point. 👍🏾👍🏾
It's amazing how much progress has been made in the battery operated tool market given it a big 👍
Absolutely
I built one 35 years ago ran it for more than 10 years
I’d love to have three guys that can rake that good nice job guys .
Amazing tool , good luck with the battery operated screen ! Bob
Nice job Mike
Hi iam a plasterer from Scotland love these videos mate
Looks really good love to give this one a go
It did work good. Both this and their gas one are excellent.
If it makes the job easier do it save your back thank you 😊 for the video
I agree!
Mike they should donate this to You ! AS ALWAYS AWESOME VIDEO'S ! BE SAFE BROTHER !
That’s pretty cheap considering the advantage you get able to talk to each other “hey, fill that in please” or the day your gas model decided to blow the engine, or the stink of exhaust inside foundation already capped off, wonder when they will make battery powered power trowels? When I bought my adjustable blade vibrastrike power screed from Darryl at AH Harris some 12 years ago, they had it on the shelf for over a year and he sold it to me at cost with a 12’ adjustable board, meaning you could calibrate it flat or use it with a crown, so it was a huge savings and great investment for our company, had the 4 stroke Honda engine on it, thing was great, but it was heavy, when I was doing floors all the time I would’ve definitely considered buying a battery screed, hey Mike, another great job, I hope to see you guys soon on one of our projects in the spring, always a pleasure watching you guys, good luck this winter
Absolutely Grrrrreat!!!!!
love this!
Those screeds look pretty nice
DIY repurpose a Ryobi weed wacker remove line, place bolt to offballance the wheel and turn to purpendicular and add screed....Works great!
Do you guys do heated drive way love to see a video on that..
Thanx for the video 👍
My pleasure
Fantastic. No more gas to carry around. No more oil changes/fumes/noise/balky pull cords.
Very good I love it how much they sell it thank you good job
Hey mate, G’day from downunder!! Love your content!! Just wondering what your cleaning routine is on these things? Hand wash? Pressure washer? Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure if I missed it but I would like to know did you screed that whole slab on one battery and if so how many amp battery was it
Very nice 👍And yes definitely quite
I was just thinking about this last month. The fact is you can just go a little bit. Because you don’t alway want the screed to vibrate and not always balls out either and depending you can’t always get it perfect.
And no fumes down in the basement!!! 👍🏻
Right on, no fumes!
In NYC we need permits AND c.o.f. operator licenses (you have to pass a test lol) from FDNY for gas use above 2.5 gallons on a site (total), so been moving everything to electric and pneumatic. This looks awesome.
Is the vibration adjustable like on the gas powered ones?
The raker makes the day
Just came across this video. It'd be really easy to put a mast on each end of that with a laser receiver too. Cool device.
Sweet been in concrete for 30 years first batt one seen. Tried looking up the page would not load ?
is there a solid diy fix for driveway cracks
Awesome! I’ll take 3
this is really amazing machine.. it must have save alot of time concrete finishing..
It does!
Is there space in the battery compartment to run an adapter for dewalt batteries?
I like it!! I usually always hand screed.. people forget, after screed I ALWAYS TAmP... it does seem a little slow tho.. What Do you recommend MIKE..?? As some one who works with concrete every day..
Awesome channel
Thank you!
Get a helper to try to pull start it. Great vids, Mike. Thanks from MD
No worries about that with this one.
It went over your head Mike.😂
Great videos....... I'm looking to put up a 60' x 120' x 30' tall prefab metal building summer of 2022. I will be the GC on the job. I will most likely will sub out the concrete 6" slab work ( 134 yards ). How much should I expect to pay for the labor only to set the forms, rebar, and laying out the concrete and smoothing it to finish? I'm in Western Massachusetts area around Springfield, MA. Looking forward to getting your thoughts. Thanks
Its badass👌
Thanks.
The raking is louder than the screed
You're right, it is!
What is reason the foam in floor?
I’m not a construction!
It looks great. A lot of benefits. Changes the job from a 3 man operation to a 2 man operation improving productivity and also health and safety advantages saving ears and backs.
Yes, you're right.
Wow first time I ever seen this before
It sure is nice working upright :) Are you going to keep it, or stick to your gas one for now?
Hand or power screed, which is faster or more efficient for you guys?
Hi, where can I purchase the battery powered screedemon? Need one ASAP
Mike we have 2 of them mbw and Milwaukee. We're placing in Portland and also auburn Maine. How close are you to us
Is concrete level when you finish floor?
Great tool mike, we were using 110v screeders 20 years ago as opposed to hand screening , we all reckoned we would live 10 years longer lol🤭, we used a 2m blade which meant you could keep busy on deeper slabs....way to go 👏
Does it for the 12ah batteries?
No gas fumes, no motor noise. My only question is how long does the battery last. Looks like a great tool.
Interesting building code ...
Have you tried a magic screed from Allen engineering? They are the ones who came out with the first power screeds. Been using them for 20+ years.
Yes, they're very good also.
You have good guys. What do you pay them so you keep them.
I got to get one
How many batteries and what amp hour did you use
In your earlier videos you used the Marshalltown power screed, how did you like that compared to the gas SreedDemon?
They're both excellent, can't go wrong with either one.
Love it bout time for electric
Agree, we really liked it.
Mike, I've been really looking forward to this machine when it was first unveiled. Our company has learned the screed well, and we were looking for some more info on this machine. How do you think this would fare on a slope? Would you take the pitch right off of a 1/4" floor?
^^^Same question, and can it pull a stiffer mix? Let us know when you test it.
You could use it on a slope with the right slump and good rakers. I personally like to hand screed a slope but that's just me. I think you could use it on a slump about 4 and higher. I haven't tried a 4 yet but that's my feeling.
I like it how much does it cost
We don’t pour basement floor until house is built and settled. It’s weird you guys do it first. Doesn’t it crack all to hell by the finish of the house?
Added bonus of operator not having to breathing petrol engine fumes if you're working in enclosed spaces .
Mike, one more thing, the link isn't working to view where to buy this screed. Just and FYI
I'm working on that, they haven't given me one yet.
Where was this forty years ago? I might still have a back left.
DeWalt makes a battery power screed too works great
I just bought one 🔥🔥
Awesome!! Feel free to share videos and tag us
@@MBWinc just picked up my Lowrider yesterday as well!!!
I want to buy one how can I get one
Where is the rebar on that concrete? Even if theres a slab or something underneath, brc? Why didn't anyone vibrate the concrete? The machine vibrates but to what depth? For how far? It What's all this about?
I want one for my boys.
It seem to look like good screed ,
Why don’t you check your heights with the laser every couple of meters?
Or does it have fall, just curious thanks. We say check yourself before u reck yourself.lol
nice]
Did you check how many bars of battery you lost? And what size Milwaukee amp hour battery did you use? Looked like a 5.
I used a 5 yes, I didn't check it was too cold.
What do you do with the rebar in your wet pad?
Nm I saw you pull it later in the video
That’s awesome! What’s the difference in weight between the two models?
It felt like about 5 lbs. lighter
I want to get one
May be not on the market but I built a Battery powered screed 35 years ago
How much truck charge ?
I been pouring with people in MN most people still doing hand screed bend over kick go it didn't bother me when I was younger but now I mean its worth to get something like this.
This helps yes.
went to get some merch .. the orange hoodie isn't available in my size cuz im not small ... no matter what my wife says. haha. maybe ill take the grey one in XL
Like it ., don’t like the rake man raking back and forth over and over if I was running screen make me crazy
