Angelina never uses more power than a song needs to be properly conveyed to the listener ... I think she thinks anything else is just showing off and that's not her. This particular song, mostly because of the key changes, needs that power ... and she delivered!
I know the feeling Paul.....to me it's like watching my granddaughter become one of the best of all time.
The tears come forward because of our appreciation for her performance and, most of all, because she has come into our lives and our hearts remind us everyday that she is very special and that we will always be with her. Hello Sir. Thank you for your reaction. This brilliant performance emphasizes Angelina's great versalitity, her masterful breath control and so many aspects and nuances of her beautiful voice and overwhelming talent. It also comprehensively contradicts the opinions of those who insist that she can't "belt" (if they weren't already convinced by her rendition of "It's A Man's World"). She only uses belting if she thinks it is appropriate, if it helps her to convey the message of the particular song that she is delivering, and not as a showpiece.
I don't know why but this time, listening to this version, her vibrato just ate me up--esp on the word door. I am glad Angelina likes Whitney so much because I love her doing these songs as tributes to Whitney. And I have no idea how she controls or holds that extremely low volume vibrato for so long without losing it. I think she does more things at a higher level than any other singer and some things she does I'm not sure anyone else can do.
There should be a disclaimer with each video of hers'----Warning-Highly addictive product-once addicted escape is impossible. Also, this product causes frequent eye leakage.
I tear on her Vegas concert version of "When We Were Young" and it's not the lyrics.
She is just the best by far.
I never liked this song until 12/13 yo AJ did it.

Thank you Paul. When Angelina's in the studio and in control of everything, she really shines like the sun. This performance is magic. She cant control her sound in live performances and I think it makes her nuts. Shes a perfectionist. The mic she used in Vegas was crap and I think she knew it. We know Angelina rewrote the lyrics of some songs to make them appropriate for her. I think she needs to rewrite the title of this song to I Have Everything!

She first performed this in an 'at home' make-shift little studio type set-up when I believe she was 12 or 13
and took it even higher in parts, than this one. Still, the slight change in key at times, takes nothing away from
this beautiful rendition. True 'Jazz' singers will always mix it up a bit, for that is the mark of a true 'Jazz'
specialist, which she 'definitely' is. Hope her mentor Billie Holiday, as well as Whitney, were able to listen in to
her from heaven.
Great reaction. One of my favorites. Have you checked out A Million Years Ago by Adele She was 12 I think. It will make you cry with the emotion she has for this song. She sings it better than anyone ever could in my opinion. Love your channel!

Thank you for your reaction to this outstanding performance of a 16 yo girl that shows she is the best. That's why it is so difficult for some of us to understand why she not always used her normal tone but uses more and more the awful twang with some of her songs . She did the same with some of her lately songs at Las Vegas where her early versions at a younger age sounds much better in her normal fluent tone.
