It's not the season of rambutan that's why it's expensive. The season of rambutan is between March and May when costs drop to P30/kilo. Onion is the country's biggest problem at the moment. Of all the fruits that were shown, jackfruit is my favorite, and next is marang.. Star apple has a lot of latex.
Thank you for your additional information. I'm waiting season of rambutan, it's my favorite. But I'll follow your recommendation and try jackfruit and marang
Hi Alex, thanks for this interesting video about food prices in the Philippines. It was amazing how reasonably priced some things were and also how expensive at the street market. For instance the Green pepper for 350 per Kilogram, in the United States you can by a Green pepper for 69 to 99 cents per pepper. Also in the store I was surprised to see Pistachio Milk in a carton, never saw anything like that here.
Thank you, Ben, that's so true. For example, I buy pineapple at another fruit market on the highway for more than half the price.
keep it going Alex!! 😀nice content
Thank you for your support☺
I love those fresh fruits, veges, fish and shrimp, missed them. Where I’m at sold per pound. Apples, jackfruit, Egg plants & Bell peppers $8/kg, eggs 12/$10, chicken variety pieces. $6/kg, pork$8-10. I love those small fish, I make patties with
Come back 😉 here's much better
Wow things are so expensive 😭 seriously now the food in my house taste even more tastier after watching this video
Well said 😁
Where was that market?! It looked so clean and nice I would have bought any of that food. The fish looked so colorful and amazing! WOW!
Thanks Alton, it's in Dumaguete downtown, near church
Still cheaper in dumaguete.. pineapple is only 100 pesos and here in the states is like 4$ including tax and I just bought last Tuesday ,😊
Yeah and I buy small for 35 pesos
In my state Meghalaya it's only for 30-50rs (20-40 peso) each pineapple and sweet as sugar cane
2.50 each at costco
Good to see 2:53 another responsible vlog from you.
Thank you, Jisal
Would be interested in milk powder ( to go in coffee) plus what’s the best tasting liquid milk? ( I know real fresh milk is not available).
Yes I didn't see fresh milk and I don't know why. I saw a lot of powder milk but can't make recommendations because I use condensed creamer in my coffe
In the US, Australia, Canada, Uk and Europe, the profit margin for each product in the supermartket less than 30%. In the Philipine, the cost of labor $600 Peso/day and the price of all items in the supermarket the same as the western countries. They profit margin for each product minimum 100% easily. it a monopoly and no competition which the poor people have to pay for the greedy corporation and big busineses in Philipines.
Idk maybe
Hi Alex 👋
Thanks for prices update
By the way the price for Tanduay in Denmark the same just in danish krones:) so 8 times more expensive
I surprised that there is a Tanduay :)
Hi, Alex, I surprised that there is a Tanduay :)
@@Alex_Kosh yes we have some philippino shops and restaurants here 😉
Alex, which grocery stores are these? Did not found them the last time i was there.
In Robinson's, near Boulevard. I don't remember actual names of stores
Maayong hapon Alex guapo...it's time to diet..OMAD one meal a day..hahaha😁😂
Maayong hapon pod. Thank you, Layla ☺
Wet markets are lot cheaper than those on supermarkets and some fruits price it depends on its season if its a season its cheaper
Yes and also in different wet markets different prices
I don't know why the kilo of the onion was really high, and that's the biggest problem in the country now...
But good job for doing this video..
Thank you, Anna
Keep going Alex🙏🙏
Hi Alex! How did you celebrate your new year?
Hi, we were with Justin Carmack and Isla Pamilia
Alex, how come the exchange rate on the board of CORE Pacific shows only 50.60 $ for 1 EURO? The official exchange rate yesterday was $ 59.40 for 1 €? The exchange rate for the USD was shown more or less correctly. Thanks for your comment!
This is not the first time I've heard about the low exchange rate of the euro. Probably the best bet will be in the bank. I recorded this video on 10.01.23
@@Alex_Kosh BUT 10/I /23 IS NOT HERE YET. L.O.L. 😂🤣😂
That's why I make so many mistakes in documents 😄 in Russia we use day.month.year
@@Alex_Kosh Thanks for your quick reply. By the way: prices for vegetables, fruits and fish on the public market are somewhere in between 10 - 30 % less in Southern Spain Same for supermarkets. This might change in the upcoming months. 2023 will be hard wherever you live. Good luck & thanks for your excellent work.
Just desame fruit and veg the price is defferent bcoz of the store rental
Yes, and you can find lower prices at different fruit markets on the highway. That's why I buy something here, something there...
Dumaguete is a little bit expensive compared to other province. Maybe most of the product are imported from other place.!!???
Maybe. But mostly you can find cheaper prices if you are willing to buy different products in different places.
Where did you ask these prices,in Duma public market or elsewhere?
Duma public market, 2 highway fruit markets and 3 supermarkets
BEFORE IT WAS VERY CHEAP, , BUT CHINESE MADE COSTLY OF LIVING DOUBTFUL BECAUSE OF
PANDEME PROBLEM.
Shit happens...
🌴🌴< < < ARE THOSE FILIPINO PRICES OR FOREIGNER PRICES ALEX ? L.O.L.
This is the prices for foreigners 😄 for the Philippines prices you should ask not "how much", but "pila ni" Lol
The price here in metro Manila just like in Dumaguete? Omg🤔
Thank you for additional information
Manila price is more expensive.
Nice content alex
Thank you, Lily, for additional information

You might be interested in the video on my channel with Americans about the comparison cost of living in US and Philippines
I don't know why but they sell very little beef and mutton almost not possible to find.
we don't really raise sheep but there's a lot of imported beef in supermarkets, and local beef is available in local markets of cities and big towns
Thanks for watching and your support
Couldn’t see one price !!!
Wish you’d held the camera
Right up yo the labels. !!!!
Try to make a pause
Hey Alex
Hello
What city is it?
Dumaguete and Bacong
The price of commodities are even higher than prices abroad, How can a poor family afford it.vegetable should be cheaper. i don't get it.
It's not cheap to eat vegetables, the same in Russia
Face reveal on your girl.
I'm single ;)
Avacado for P16?? BS
Avocado 120 per kg
Lmfao, all foreigner price, cut the price in half and then subtract 10 pesos and that’s what the locals are paying. 😂
