Hello. I am a beginner and just found out about your channel. Do you have a video on what types of ingredients to add to each phase of formulating the products? I have most of the ingredients I want for my first cosmetic formula but don't know which phase they belong in.
I’m glad you found my channel. 😁 & no, I don’t have a video like that because ingredients don’t always belong to the same phase. So it would be hard to put every ingredient in its own category because it can change depending on the formula and what you are making. The main thing you want to keep in mind is if ingredients are heat sensitive or not. That will be specified in the formulating guidelines. Also, typically oil based ingredients are grouped together like in emulsions and water phase ingredients are grouped together. But again this can vary. Like if you are using xanthan gum you would want to do a separate phase of mixing xanthan gum with glycerin first. If you read the formulating guidelines to your ingredients you purchase this will also share a lot of info on what it should be mixed with and when

I notice that you weigh your item after wrapping them to create your shipping label on etsy, but when adding the shipment cost for the item in your store dont you also add a standard weight so that when a customer purchases an item, the customer gets charged that amount for shipment fee? Does weighing the item again after wrapping it and adding the amount on the shipping label will cause a difference in the cost?
