    Amazing video. I've been playing cammy lately and my bnbs and neutral has been OK but now I can really cheese some people at my local and online

    4 Gate Yes, the universal backthrow setup works for the entire cast. The old st.lp, mk.dk setup is not as good anymore, because of the recovery nerf on the divekicks. Also, you don't have an answer for delay wakeup if you do the st.lp, crossup mk.dk setup.

      Unless I'm having the worst luck ever, I can't combo cl.HP, far HP on Rolento. I don't think you mentioned him.

      JeriousGreenwood You can only combo cl.hp, far.hp on Rolento after a jump-in or EX divekick.

    Nice Guide! Does the universal b.throw work on the whole cast? What is about this backthrow setup: Backthrow, walk forward a bit, st.lp, crossup mk.dk? Is it still relevant in USF4?

    Hey thanks for doing this. Quick question, that first bread and butter combo I've tried standing doesn't work on Oni unless I open up with a jumping HP or like that. On all the others I'm okay. Does it also not work on him?

      Yeah, for some reason some characters have more than 1 hitstun animation. Ryu has the same problem. Sometimes he goes back way too far for the 2nd st.hp to connect. It has to do with his idle animation. But don't worry, this is only a problem for training mode, not for actual matches. Because when you block a DP or he whiffs one in front of you, then he won't be in his idle animation and you can just link cl.hp, far.hp for a max damage punish.

    The HK cannon strike after spiral arrow doesn't cross up on every character right? Some characters it just whiffs for me.

      It varies per character and really depends on what combo you used prior that led up to the knockdown. If you did like cl.hp xx spiral arrow, heavy divekick will almost always whiff on everyone and you have to do medium divekick to crossup (this is because only a cl.hp doesn't have as much pushback as cl.hp, cr.mk xx arrow for instance, and so the heavy divekick will just fly over them).
      cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.mp xx spiral arrow will basically never lead to a crossup divekick setup (unless they don't quickrise). This is why cr.lk, cr.lp, far.hp xx spiral arrow is a better hit confirm combo.
      If you do the cl.hp, far.hp xx spiral arrow combo, then heavy divekick won't whiff on most characters, but you are correct that on some characters the heavy divekick has an even stricter timing. Off the top of my head I know that Ryu/Evil Ryu have a weird hitbox, but a really early heavy divekick will hit crossup. Akuma has the weirdest hitbox of all, doing a heavy divekick after a cl.hp, far.hp xx heavy spiral combo will completely whiff on him. He's one of the few characters where you would use cr.hp, cr.mk xx heavy spiral as a basic BnB instead.
      Poison/Chun/Rose are also an exception, you can only cross them up consistently with cl.mp, far.hp xx spiral arrow combo (Thanks to Vinnie for finding this).
      Character height is also a factor (As a rule of thumb: Tall characters require a later divekick to crossup). But tall characters are a problem since the divekick nerf. It's hard to hit a crossup divekick and still have enough frame advantage to combo and/or not be punishable.
      Varies timing for specific characters will come with experience and just regular playing I think, I haven't exactly made a list for this.
      Can you tell me on which characters the heavy divekick whiffs on for you, I wouldn't mind making a video so you can see the exact timing for the divekick.

    I believe CH cl.Mp, cr.Hp to ultra works on Rolento too. But I didn't know about CH cl. Hp, cr. Hp to ultra, I may have to do that if that's the better choice.
    Will you be doing any match up guide videos or is there anyway to contact you with match up questions?

      Scott R yeah cl.mp, cr.hp works too (also on Guile/Fei Long), however I found that cl.hp, cr.hp is more consistent (and a bit easier). Fun fact, it works on almost the entire cast, but most characters not mentioned in the video require such strict spacing that it's not viable to do in an actual match. For example, on Bison you can do it but only when you move an inch away from him, it doesn't work point-blank. (If you do cl.lk and he blocks it, then you're at the perfect range. However, if cl.lk hits, you won't be). It's just too inconsistent to pull off in an actual match.
      And I was thinking about doing a more advanced guide with max damage combo's and how to play the neutral game + frame traps and mindgames. I might do a match up guide, but that would take a long time. Maybe I'll be doing them character per character or something.... I dunno. What would you prefer? Basic matchups in 1 long video with all characters or separate video's so I can go more in depth?

    HEY! DOES CAMMY HAVE ANY SETUPS ON DJ AFTER BACK THROW AND HK or MK SPIRAL?

      Cardell Thomas YEAH, AFTER BACKTHROW YOU CAN WALK FORWARD A TINY BIT, WHIFF ST.LP TWICE AND THEN J.HP (HITS CROSSUP). IT'S SAFE AGAINST ANY REVERSAL EXCEPT ULTRA 2. DEE JAY CAN ALSO CROUCHBLOCK AND TRIPGUARD YOU, BUT MOST DEE JAYS DON'T KNOW THIS (OPTION SELECT WITH SPIRAL/ULTRA TO CATCH LIGHT AIR SOBAT).
      AFTER HEAVY SPIRAL ARROW YOU CAN DO A HEAVY DIVEKICK ON 3/4TH OF THE JUMP (ALMOST AT THE PEAK, BUT NOT EXACTLY AT THE PEAK OR IT WILL WHIFF). IF THE DEEJAY NEVER QUICKRISES THEN YOU CAN WALK BACKWARDS SLIGHTLY AFTER THE SPIRAL ARROW AND DO A MK/LK DIVEKICK (AIM FOR THE OTHER SIDE).
      THE THING IS, ON DEEJAY YOU HAVE TO HIT THE DIVEKICKS FRAME PERFECT. IT'S PROBABLY NOT EVEN WORTH DOING THEM. HIS REVERSAL IS AN EASY ESCAPE AND IT'S HARD TO PUNISH HEAVILY WITHOUT ULTRA. SO THERE'S NOTHING STOPPING HIM FROM USING THEM EVERY TIME ON WAKEUP. THE RISK/REWARD IS HEAVILY IN DEE JAY'S FAVOR.
      THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY I THINK THIS MATCHUP FAVORS DEE JAY (6-4).

      +ElecFlare I'm playing/learning Chun, Cammy and Karin atm. Not sure yet which one I'll use in tournaments. Leaning towards Chun, but Cammy feels very familiar. Maybe I'll play 2 characters and counterpick. I'll know the answer as I'm learning more about each of these 3 characters' strength and weaknesses. I've always been a character loyalist, so it wouldn't surprise me if I stick to just 1 character in the end.

    I love how every single usfiv guide assume that I got a big "cancel button" somewhere on my pad and never explain how to cancel :/

      A cancel is nothing more then using a normal and stopping the normal animation by cancelling into a special move. So if you do heavy punch, and before the animation is over, you throw out a spiral arrow special. Then you have cancelled the heavy punch into a spiral arrow.
