DAIZZ'S TIP:-Portulaca/Moss rose is a perennial plant. It flowers profusely from spring till the start of winters. In winters, when sun does not show up, it would just go dormant; you can leave it there for the next season - it would not bloom but still would have green foliage. Once the spring hits, it would again start new growth and flowering.

my portulaca took an unexpected and drastic turn for the worst all of a sudden. it has grayish-white powdery stains and hair-like growths on it and the stems turned yellow and wilted. many (maybe most) of the individual leaves are still plump and green. how can i save it? will soapy water work or do i need a strong anti-fungal? please help!

Hello, I having been watching your videos for a while now and really enjoying your videos. So i have decided to grow few herbs and flower plants at my home. As I stay in Bangalore, so it’s difficult to get good soil, so I need to buy online. Can you tell me what is Garden soil and Red soil, are they same ? And instead of sand can i use cocopeat ?
Garden soil means soil from ur garden or field...native soil from ur area ....u can use perlite instead of sand...mix some compost or manure for better results

I bought potted portulaca last February. It had lots of flowers then. Now a few stems had died already and only 1 or 2 flowers bloom from time to time. 😢

Overwatering Or lack of sunlight could be the reason... Water only when soil drys out.. Keep some gap between watering.... Make sure ur plant gets morning sunlight from 7 am to 1 pm

Yes u can relocate them but make sure to take out the whole root ball with the surrounding soil intact... This way they will not experience any transplant shock

They flower during day time only ...mainly from 8 am to 3-4 pm only ....after that flower will close
