    Hey Bro , I have planted my Portulaca in a well draining and compost added soil , places it in a balcony where it gets direct afternoon sunlight , water only after the soil is dry on top.....The problem is my plant has numerous buds in every branch literally like 100s in one pot but none of them is flowering ......I heard Portulaca doesn't bloom in winter but won't it bloom atleast one....I don't know why it's not flowering....Any idea??? actually it's winter here in my place with mist in the night , whether it is affecting flowering???

    Hi my plant's buds drop before blooming what is the problem

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 года назад +2

      Lack of nutrition mostly, the plant is unable to hold that! Please feed some organic compost or bone meal powder and place it in full sun for the entire day! Also water less as these dont need a lot of water

  • @suziejohnson3233
    @suziejohnson3233 2 года назад +3

    I understand they need to be in full sun. I live in Las Vegas and it gets up to 110-115 F. Can they be in that kind of full sun?

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 года назад +2

      100% ✓ 😊 they would love it and you can water them regularly when the soil is dry!

      Suzie how often do you water your Portulaca when it's over 100? I'm in Texas, and my plants in containers seem to dry out completely in 1 sunny day.

      @suziejohnson3233 Год назад +2

      @@dtaylor939 Hi Taylor, I water mine every other day on the hot sunny days. Sometimes but not often I will do once a day, especially if it’s windy and hot out.

    Hi, what soil mixture do you use for this plant? Thank you.

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 года назад

      A very loose soil, would say 60 percent normal garden soil mixed with sand or pebbles to make it loose and some compost (20%)

      If you give deadheading then it will encourage the plant to bloom more and more 😊
