Hi, great insightful reviews. I’m seriously contemplating between these two. I’m buying a digital piano for both to practice for abrsm exams( restarting/relearning piano from early grades) as well as for my interest in music arrangement. While the fp 30x offers more superior piano action, the dgx offers more superior music arrangement tools/tones. Can music arranging softwares such as ableton, garrage band etc., compensate the lack of tones on the fp30x, or does the piano action on the dgx sufficient for piano exam practice?
Hi 🙂 I Like my Roland FP 30 x very much because the Key Action and the Piano Sound is very good. I think it depends on what you want to do ...I want to play and practice the Piano...I am not so into Keyboard / E Piano / rhythms etc 🙂 so I love my Roland FP 30 x ...😉. For others who want to change tones and arrange or whatever there would be better options. Thank you for your videos 👍🎹🎼🎶
Great review! Now we have the story on both pianos! I knew the DGX had lots of menu/configuration functions, but its much more extensive than I thought. Looks like you could spend weeks just messing with microphone and pedal settings! What a great value for $799! Now if we can just get them to show up in USA....
It was good of you to accommodate your viewers’ wish to see these two instruments compared. As you said from the outset: it’s much like comparing apples to oranges. I am in the market for a new piano. To that end, I have watched many reviews. I am impressed with both Roland and Yamaha. I rented a Roland FP10 for a month. It was a bit short on features but the key action and bright grand piano sound are delightful. I’m currently renting a Yamaha P125 for a month. More features, better app and nice key action along with a solid grand piano sound. Probably better value overall than the Roland. However several reviews of the DGX670 have convinced me that I can enjoy both solid piano sound with a realistic acoustic piano touch along with myriad features that can help enhance my overall music experience. This review helps confirm that the DGX670 is for me. In fact, I ordered one a couple of weeks ago!
As was apparent in the previous look at these instruments, they are aimed at different markets, the piano market and the arranger market. But Yamaha have provided an instrument with a significant difference to the usual arranger instrument - an 88-note keyboard. So it appeals to the user who wishes a full piano along with the arranger features and I think this is a great move by Yamaha. While we may have wished for a slightly better piano, greater power in the amplification and more versatile connections in the DGX-670, the total balance of features makes for a very appealing instrument. Being a pianist who also enjoys arranger capabilities, if I was in the market for a new instrument I would head for the Yamaha without hesitation as in some ways it even challenges the more expensive (and older) PSR-SX600.
Hello Jeremy, Well, the choice is easy to make for those who don't want to set-up their system on iPad or Mobile. Far away the best explanation of the DGX 670 by now. For me, the case of the Roland 30x is settle. That just leave the Korg XE 20 that I'd like to see compare. Maybe in a couple of days, now that you're at it. Always good work. Many thanks. JP

@@walterg74 Yeah exactly. From what I have heard on those videos, Roland FP-30X is better at simulating real piano (not arranger), but Yamaha DGX-670 is better at giving more secondary functions and being more of an arranger digital piano.
Hey, 'Sweet' Pea (also my granddaughter's nick..) - I just finished writing Jeremy about the same 'contrast'. The two comparisons, one month apart, left my head spinning.
@@walterg74 Good assessment. Question: for the first time D P buyer, do the added features of the 670, and its supposed grand piano sound, over rule the dedicated piano sound of the 30X its lack of arranger features?
lol. I like how Jeremy started with the disclosure of these two products are different, but here are the reasons on what is "better." I kept my fp-30x order even after watching the video. My purpose is understanding and developing the piano skillset rather than arranging songs. The bells and whistles of the DGX-670 would distract us. One note (no pun intended), Yamaha got 14 reasons while FP-30x got 11! lol
Hello Jeremy, thank you very much for your professional comments and help for all those piano lovers like me. I would like to ask you one question about the Yamaha DGX 670, which might be interesting for others also: the option to connect this specific Yamaha microphone to the piano is a really important feature for me. Is the voice also recordable to the sequencer recorder.? I mean: Just like any other sound from the piano? I think so and I hope so. It would not be a deal-break argument for me, but would be super useful, as I have the idea to record things with voice and later be able to send that file as mp3 or whatever format to family and friends. Thank you very much and I will stay updated with your channel...... 👍
You are my go-to person for the information I’m looking for while I’m trying to decide which digital piano to get🤗. Besides … your voice has such a rich tone🤗 Thank you so much!
Really depends what type of musician you are. As a classical pianist, I prefer the Roland coz of it's action. It has escapement and it's triple sensor (compared to the Dgx-670 which is only double sensor) which is good for playing repeated notes. Most of the functions of the Dgx670 I will not bother using tbh.
I prefer the Roland too. I dont want to or have time to mess around with 10, 000 configerations. I just want to play. And the Roland produces all the beautiful sounds I need : )
Jeremy, tremendously helpful video once again. Your video series on the DGX670 have really helped all of us in the USA who can’t even find a display unit . . . including in large metropolitan areas. I appreciate the close-ups of the keys, the buttons, the button combinations, the various ports. Question - what kind of protection do you recommend to place over the Yamaha speakers? With the size of those speaker grill holes, they will be a tremendous lint and dust magnet in my home. God forbid liquids come near them.
Thank you for this review, I wanted to comment on the previous review "11 reasons Roland FP X30 is better", I felt like you are a bit biased, but now I believe you not. (I'm a bit biased to Yamaha :) . I know at this range of price, we cant get all what we need, but I think every manufacturer knows how to segment their products, and why they don't add specific feature to a certain module. Thank you again from Egypt, you have a friend there now.
Thanks for the review of both great instruments. In my opinion, choice will depend on needs. I would prefer the fp30x for gigs due to the light weight. I only need the pianos, split, and layers. I have a Yamaha synth for organs, flutes, leads, winds, etc.
I am going for the Yamaha, going to learn to play piano on that one and learn every thing the damn thing can do since I pre-ordered it and waiting for it. Also I have a bit of a multi-tool view on things, if I can get a tool that can do one thing and one tool that can do 5 things and be same quality then go for the more things.
yeah the yamaha maybe better if you want play with features and functions, but if you really want learn only piano the Roland got the better Keyboard Action with Escapement
Thank you Jeremy See and I like Yamaha DGX 670 . And Scale Tune Makes this piano It is more effective with oriental players because the piano contains the quarter ton as it appeared in the video, at 5:44 minute .
You almost had me convinced the Yamaha was the better piano until you compared the Yamaha weak 6 Watt speakers to the much more powerful Roland 11 Watts : ) Not only that who has time to figure out the 1000 configerations of the Yamaha. I just want to play. I'll get the Roland FP-30x.
I just ordered the Roland FP-30X. I have a Yamaha DGX-660 I bought a couple of years ago, but I wanted something more compact to travel and gig with. And after watching your videos for a few days I was sold on the praise the grand piano sound and the action gets from you and many others.
I just ordered the Roland FP-30X last night lol. I'm very happy with my decision though- I'm learning piano as a beginner! I couldn't use the Yamaha's features if I wanted to and my main concern is matching the sound and feel of an accoustic piano as closely as possible.
"While the Yamaha DGX-670 is a versatile instrument, the GHS keyboard action might feel somewhat lightweight and plastic for more experienced players. It would have been great to see a higher-quality key action in this model, as it has so much potential overall."
Tremendous value here. Yamaha makes quality gear no doubt, and really packed in a lot of bang for the buck in the DGX-670. So much that this Keyboard is capable of doing. The competition has a tough time keeping up. On a very positive note, look at the fabulous cost effective Keyboards available to us. Under $800 USD, amazing! Jeremey wisely points out, picking the right Keyboard depends on what you are trying to achieve, and what features will apply to hitting your goals. For me, I need 15 lbs. lighter, Line Outs, Half Pedaling, and a little better key action. But otherwise, WOW! great Keyboard Yamaha. Thanks Jeremy you make some excellent points worth considering.
I really dislike the trend of having to use an app to properly use your digital piano. I got a kawai es110 and their app won't even connect, so I must always look at the manual how to properly control it 🙄. Will probably get this yamaha as a replacement soon.
Jeremy this is a wonderful presentation, and your speaking ability is magnificent. You words are well thought out and very descriptive. Your speech is almost musical. After this video I'm glad I cancelled my es920 order in favor of the DGX-670.
Something not mentioned in this video is that the DGX 670 does not have proper right and left outputs. Because of this and the weight which is almost 50 pounds this piano is more useful at home. The other thing is the old GHS action and sound which I believe is the same as the Yamaha P125. Yes this DGX 670 is amazing with all of its functions. But if you compare the default piano sound to the Roland FP30x the Roland is better both with sound and action. So it really depends where your emphasis is. If you want an all around home arranger with tons of features then the Yamaha is best. If you are happy with 183 sounds and having to use an app does not bother you then the Roland is best. I had a DGX 660 and loved the functionality. But the piano sound to me left a lot to be desired.
The last Roland I tried was like $1200 and I thought it was total crap. The graphics were a bad joke from the 1980's and the touch was like pressing into a hard, foam cushion. It was like I was wrestling with it!! My old Yamaha PSR EW-400 has a touch I love. That's why I am researching the DGX-670.
Hi Jeremy, I am a complete beginner to piano and I have only messed around with a few virtual keyboards, one cheaper keyboard which a family member owns and apps (e.g. using a laptop keyboard with a virtual audio cable to play a virtual keyboards' notes into flowkey online). So, I have watched your DGX-670 and FP-30X videos (both '14 reasons' videos and the 'why the DGX-670 crushes the competition' video) and I am unfortunately still unsure as to which keyboard I should ultimately purchase. I would personally like to perform classical pieces by the well-known composers at home. Would spending the extra money to purchase a real piano be worth it as compared to either the DGX-670 or FP-30X? Of course I realise that even the cheapest real pianos would be more money than a keyboard, however what would your opinion be regarding a beginner like myself? I was told that a keyboard is a better learning tool potentially for beginners such as myself compared to using a real piano, due to the functionality provided via the electronics in a keyboard such as the learning apps etcetera. Would you agree? Furthermore, I noticed the nice three-sensor ivory-style keyboard and the Bluetooth Wireless MIDI (I believe) on the FP30-X, does the DGX-670 not have a Bluetooth MIDI functionality? I also use an Android mobile phone and a Windows and OS X laptop, so seeing iOS mobile apps does worry me as there is no mention of any Android apps. Would the MIDI functionality fix this? For example, can I use flowkey on my Android mobile or Windows or OS X laptop with the MIDI cable and not have any issues? Do the two-sensor keys on the DGX-670 actually make that much difference compared to the three-sensor keys on the FP-30X? You mentioned doing a riff (maybe I used the wrong term, my apologies, it was where you quickly alternate keys and the depression required on the keys is less on the FP-30X) and I wonder therefore as a beginner whether I would worry about this? I ask really from the standpoint of functionality and future-proofing. Are the DGX-670 keyboards keys really that antiquated? I just want to play classical music well, however I like the display on the DGX-670. I probably would not use all the extra 'mixing features' if I may call them that on the DGX-670 however a display makes a nice difference. Ultimately I just wish to learn how to play the piano well using an app on my Android mobile or Windows or OS X laptop without issue and not discover that I have made a mistake and a certain feature is missing etcetera. Lastly, could you please tell me whether the DGX-670 and FP-30X have the ability to use the amazing virtualizers that display the keys / notes / tones in a waterfall fashion and whether I could use the keyboard to enter notes into a musical program to create sheet music? I have seen RUclipsrs create sheet music really quickly (like '10 second, 5 minutes, 1 hour, 10 hours' style compilation videos) and it looks as though notes can be entered via a keyboard or is this strictly done via the laptop / desktop keyboard? It would be great if I could for example play Ode to Joy (as a basic example) while using a MIDI cable or Bluetooth MIDI functionality and the notes would appear in the software on a laptop or computer. Is this what people mean by DAW software? Would MIDI functionality let me achieve this? So many questions and so much purchasing-anxiety. Thank you so very much! Subscribed! Your cat is cool too!
Awesome review video and thanks for the explanation!! question, do you know if this keyboard can playback midi files backtracks vía usb and also does it contain a modulation wheel where you can make the organs more vivid? Thanks
I've watched both comparion videos, thank you. DGX-670 wins hands down. I have a 660 which I've enjoyed but I'm beginning to find has limitations, and was contemplating the big leap to CVP. 670 may save me $$$$, I understand 670 imports a lot from CVP 701. Could you do a comparison between 670 and CVP 8xx series please?
In Singapore's context where the DGX-670 costs 70%+ more than the FP-30X, I wonder if the added bells and whistles are worth the price even if I'd likely use them...
Good question. If you know you aren't going to use them, why pay for them. But being in the US, there is no difference and I really like the DGX automation features. The DGX is literally a one man band.
@@JoeLinux2000 oh, I said "I'd likely use them" cos I do like those features especially the adaptive styles and the rich voices. So my dilemma is to decide whether they're worth the extra 70%+ price premium.
Jeremy, you have done two DGX-670 vs Roland FP-30X comparisons. It appears to me that the first comparison had the Roland appraised higher than the Yamaha. On THIS comparison, submitted a month later, you appear to advocate the Yamaha over the Roland, which leaves me, a novice, very confused.
Good comparison. The DGX670 certainly is a great value for the money but, at 15 pounds heavier than the 30X, it's not a gigging keyboard. I wish Casio would release an upgrade to their PX560/360 (20 pounds lighter!) which covered all the bases...
Great comparison, Jeremy. This reasons make my Yammy heart happy😅. The Roland f30x piano centered is very good, but the usefull of DGX really combines arranger functionalitys, and all of a songwriter, arranger, or other musicians needs, incluided the special voice microphone, great styles, organic voices, dedicated buttons, easy memory usb use, and the beautifull screen is better to use than keys combinations, or phones apps. The Dgx speakers isn't so powerfull but his sound are very rich with realistic articulations, DSP, and other parameters, & capabilitys, IMO. Thanks you, Jeremy for your honest, motivating, and interesting reviews. Greetings and hug from 🗿Chile 🇨🇱
Hi Jeremy, congrats for your videos. I brought a DGX670, and I would like to know if it is possible to get styles from yamaha cfp expansion packs like we can do with ppi files. And put those Styles in a USB
Very nice comparision sir... One thing I want to know sir is that Yamaha Dgx 670 styles quality is same as the yamaha Psr sx 700 styles quality ? Please let me know this sir because I want to buy one...
Hi Jeremy. Great video as always. I had a doubt. Hope you can help me with it. I have a Yamaha PSR SX900. And I live in an average sized apartment in India. I have been playing Keyboard for the past 11 years but because of the tight space, I can't even think of buying a Piano. But after learning more and more over the years, I have developed a love for the Piano sound. And therefore, I want to learn the Piano, but as I said earlier, because of the limited space, I can't even think of buying an actual Grand Piano, also I sadly don't have the funds for it. So a digital piano is what I need to go for. Having played on Yamaha Keyboards forever, I really appreciate the sounds they have on them. But speaking of a Piano, the actual action of the keys is even more important to practice. I'm therefore confused which model to go for (not just between the ones you demonstrated in today's video, but in general). Already having an Arranger Keyboard, buying the likes of the DGX Series won't be quite benefecial for me as the PSR SX900 is already way better than the Digital Pianos in those regards. I just need something with a good sound and a good action which is portable too so that if I ever need to take it for a gig or something, I can. Therefore, can you kindly suggest me a good Digital Piano keeping my requirements in mind? (P. S. I won't be buying it immediately, I don't have much funds for it. However, if all goes well, then I might buy it by the end of this year or so. So if there's some better model coming out later this year, kindly keep that in mind. Also, after having seen a lot of videos, I now know that the availability and prices of Keyboards vary from region to region. I live in India, so kindly keep that in mind too.) Your help and suggestions would really be appreciated Sir.
You mention that the DGX 670 will work only with a specific type of microphone. You show only the Yamaha Microphone. What microphone characteristics should I look for? I have another Yamaha unit with a microphone input that doesn't work with an inexpensive microphone and more details about this would be useful.
Is the DGX's version of its "Piano Designer" as good as the FP-30x's actual Piano Designer pound-for-pound? Which of the two can produce better custom piano sounds? I don't like "bright" sounds. I like warm, slightly darker wooden sounds.
Hello again Jeremy! I've seen several of your videos now, all super helpful! Arguably the most important advice I seek from you: Which of these two pianos do you think would work better for a pianist (that is my primary training) and visual media composer who is looking to integrate an excellent-feeling 88-key keyboard into their home studio setup with Logic Pro X? I currently have the Yamaha DGX 660, and love the exploration opportunities with all of its features and onboard voices / rhythm styles, but I do worry that I won't use them as much. I have an extensive library of high quality samples (Native Instruments, CineSamples, etc.) on my main music rig that I would likely prefer to use, even though the DGX 670 suite of sounds looks very appealing. Also, I desperately need a keyboard solution that can be used both as a main unit coupled with Logic Pro at home, and also can reasonably be moved to band practice at a friend's house nearby and occasionally music gigs. I know how heavy the DGX 660 (and 670) is, and as you've said, there's really no moving it. However, is the Roland FP-30X truly that much easier to move? Sorry for the long sentences and potentially confusing questions haha, here are my three main asks: 1.) Which piano do you think would work better when used with the DAW Logic Pro X? (I know you also mentioned the Roland has Bluetooth and Bluetooth MIDI capabilities, how does the latter work with latency and such?) 2.) Which piano would be better to gig with and use for practice with my bandmates (so having to move it frequently; I assume this is the Roland but just want to be sure haha!) 3.) Which piano has a better solution for recording its output (so for example, if I wanted to capture the amazing onboard piano / EPiano samples of either the DGX 670 or FP-30X) into a DAW like Logic Pro? Sorry again for the length here, just wanted to make sure I covered everything and provided some background info. Thank you Jeremy!!
The Yamaha dgx-670 is good, but I am sorry to break it to you Jeremy, it just can’t blow away the competition yet since , it just doesn’t feel like a real grand piano without escapement and triple sensors. It’s like yamaha is trying to selll you a Ferrari with a lawnmower engine under the hood. =[
Does the 670 have midi and audio over the usb port like the 30x and Yamaha p 125?. The 670 doesn't have l and r audio outputs either like the 30x or p125.
Interesting comparison... Re: pricing: in my market Sweden for instance these instruments are not competitively priced at all: the DGX-670 is about 1100 USD and the FP-30X is about 850 USD (at current exchange rate). This difference in price about the same in other European countries. Interesting to see that Yamaha's pricing strategy is so different in North America.
Is it a matter of import duties? I notice that many things like guitar gears are priced at the same number of Euros in the UK as dollars in the US (for example, a pedal priced €100 in the UK, will be $100 in the US, even the the Euro is stronger).
Jeremy has already stated that the fp-30x has the most piano-like feel. That said, people are making very nice music with the DGX-670. Look for other videos on RUclips.
Hello, me again. I just want to be reassured. I have a PSR-E463 and a Casio CTX5000. I plan to trade my E463 for the DGX 670 in a couple of weeks. Since we had a lot of videos on EX 20, FP 30X, and the like. Is the DGX670 still the best buy in that line (1000. to 1500. Canadian dollard) today. Il will probably be my last buy (80 years), so I'd like to confirm your opinion. As I said before, it's only for playalong, no composition and synths. Many thanks, Jeremy. You're our first source from your part ot the worls. JP
@@JeremySee It hasn't hit the US yet. Must still be in transit. The only ones I know of over here are units distributed for promotional purposes. No buyers have them as of today's date. Also U.S. west coast ports were backlogged due to the pandemic. More ships than berths to unload them.
These videos send a mixed message. 2 weeks ago the title was "Is the Roland FP-30X better than the Yamaha DGX-670'", and then before it was "Why Yamaha DGX-760 crushes the competition". These videos seem fueled by sponsors and send mixed messages as at least these 2 new pianos are compared over and over. To say the DGX-670 crushes the competition, then have a list of dislikes against it compared to the FP-30x, doesn't show that it's crushing competition. It's click-bait at best in attempts to seed the market with content for these piano manufacturers.
To me, the bottom line is the DGX-670 is for people who want broad but AFFORDABLE fun while the Roland is for people who need something they can travel with or have very limited space. DGX pianos, in general, are excellent electronic pianos for family and student use as well as limited professional use. To borrow a term from the camcorder world, the DGX a great "pro-sumer" piano.
Hi Jeremy thank you for the amazing review. I’m quite newbie in piano playing. I’m really into acoustic piano and solo singing along the piano music. Currently confused about what to purchase for a beginner like me. I have two big options; DGX 670 or P-125 piano. Which one of these two would you recommend for me?

I would like to ask you one question about the Yamaha DGX 670, which might be interesting for others also: the option to connect this specific Yamaha microphone to the piano is a really important feature for me. Is the voice also recordable to the sequencer recorder.? I mean: Just like any other sound from the piano? I think so and I hope so. It would not be a deal-break argument for me, but would be super useful, as I have the idea to record things with voice and later be able to send that file as mp3 or whatever format to family and friends.
Thank you very much and I will stay updated with your channel...... 👍
Good to see you Jeremy See with new video. Now I start learning how to play piano on apps so I hope I will get the real one too in the future.
You are my go-to person for the information I’m looking for while I’m trying to decide which digital piano to get🤗. Besides … your voice has such a rich tone🤗 Thank you so much!
I chose the DGX-670. It has got my vote. Thanks!
Very good summarizing and systematic summarizing Jeremy, with well articulated contrasting of features.
👉 🤔👍👌 Kudos, and thanks.
0:00 I love your Spanish Pop rendition of "My Heart Will Go On" 🤣
😉
To me the dgx is great for composing without internet, BUT, they say the keys are mat but they look shiny
My pleasure!
Interesting comparison.
I think that they are differents between a keyboard and a digital piano!
The DGX series is technically a Digital piano with several features. It is NOT an arranger keyboard.
yeah the yamaha maybe better if you want play with features and functions, but if you really want learn only piano the Roland got the better Keyboard Action with Escapement
Thanks for making my decision difficult again Jeremy!!
It's easy: if you want to play: Roland. If you want to tweak setting: Yamaha.
@@RimantasLiubertas
What should we get if we want to play and tweak settings?
Both ;-)
@@Marcus_Sylvester Nord Stage 3 got you covered.
Love the simplicity of the Roland, I dont need all those extra buttons on the Yamaha, I want my DP to look and feel like a real piano
Yup. Different strokes for different folks.
Thank you Jeremy See and I like Yamaha DGX 670 . And Scale Tune Makes this piano It is more effective with oriental players because the piano contains the quarter ton as it appeared in the video, at 5:44 minute .
Are we allowed to say oriental players ?? ;-)
@@hacksaw4966 It's like oriental food, like tofu and chow fun.
Great choice. Have fun!
I just ordered the Roland FP-30X last night lol.
I'm very happy with my decision though- I'm learning piano as a beginner! I couldn't use the Yamaha's features if I wanted to and my main concern is matching the sound and feel of an accoustic piano as closely as possible.
Have fun! That's what this video is for ruclips.net/video/LokudMCaVcE/видео.html
Did you keep learning piano? How’s the 30x holding up?
Nice job, Jeremy!!!
"While the Yamaha DGX-670 is a versatile instrument, the GHS keyboard action might feel somewhat lightweight and plastic for more experienced players. It would have been great to see a higher-quality key action in this model, as it has so much potential overall."
Nice demo super playing Sir can we inject other type of any 3 set pedal pedals in dgx 680
Thanks for sharing, Frank!
@Frank in NY - DGX-670 has half pedaling with LP-1 and FC3A pedals.
I really dislike the trend of having to use an app to properly use your digital piano. I got a kawai es110 and their app won't even connect, so I must always look at the manual how to properly control it 🙄. Will probably get this yamaha as a replacement soon.
Yes! I hate using apps to access the features. 😢
Which do you think is better for a beginner who is also a singer the Yamaha DGX-670 OR the Roland FP-E50?
Jeremy this is a wonderful presentation, and your speaking ability is magnificent. You words are well thought out and very descriptive. Your speech is almost musical. After this video I'm glad I cancelled my es920 order in favor of the DGX-670.
Thank you for your kind compliments.
Fine job here. Hard to pass up the excellent value of the DGX 670.
Hi Jeremy,
I am a complete beginner to piano and I have only messed around with a few virtual keyboards, one cheaper keyboard which a family member owns and apps (e.g. using a laptop keyboard with a virtual audio cable to play a virtual keyboards' notes into flowkey online).

Awesome review video and thanks for the explanation!! question, do you know if this keyboard can playback midi files backtracks vía usb and also does it contain a modulation wheel where you can make the organs more vivid?

I've watched both comparion videos, thank you. DGX-670 wins hands down. I have a 660 which I've enjoyed but I'm beginning to find has limitations, and was contemplating the big leap to CVP. 670 may save me $$$$, I understand 670 imports a lot from CVP 701. Could you do a comparison between 670 and CVP 8xx series please?
Hi Jeremey...would you say the dgx 670 is comparable to the casio px 780? Would love to see you do a comparison with your opinions...thanks.
Different videos detail the strength of each piano. Some things DGX is better. Other things FP is better. There is no perfect keyboard.
I vote for DGX 670..
Good comparison. The DGX670 certainly is a great value for the money but, at 15 pounds heavier than the 30X, it's not a gigging keyboard. I wish Casio would release an upgrade to their PX560/360 (20 pounds lighter!) which covered all the bases...
They probably will. They are very innovative.
I would like to see it compared to the FP60X and PX560.
Everything about the DGX 670 is Really Bang for your Buck except for the almost 20 Year old Action AND...
6 Watts 😂🤣
Agree. Made me hesitate, big time. Not a tiny investment in either case. Decisions, decisions..
I went with the Roland Fp60x for this reason. I like the Dgx670 though.
what is the difference between DGX670 and DGX670B ? Bit Confused .. Please help. Thank you
Wouldn’t the FP30X be compared to the P125?
Always a pleasure to have you share your thoughts. 😍

I live in India, so kindly keep that in mind too.)
Your help and suggestions would really be appreciated Sir.
You could go with the Kawai es920. People are saying the action is very good albiet somewhat noisy.
@@JoeLinux2000 it is not noisy at all.
Hi Jeremy, you should compare DGX670 with Korg XE-20. That will be apple to apple comparation.
My impression is the XE-20 is not as well constructed. but I do like some of its sounds. It's also much lighter.
Can you please tell when will yamaha launch their yamaha dgx 670 in India ?
Please do
It’s already in India
You mention that the DGX 670 will work only with a specific type of microphone. You show only the Yamaha Microphone. What microphone characteristics should I look for?

which one has better piano sounds?
Is the DGX's version of its "Piano Designer" as good as the FP-30x's actual Piano Designer pound-for-pound?
Which of the two can produce better custom piano sounds? I don't like "bright" sounds. I like warm, slightly darker wooden sounds.
Can you recommend which is better?
can you add eq and effects the line in jack connection . ? can you connect a guitar or acoustic instrument with a pickup ? or does that need a mixer ?

Can the Yamaha DGX 670 be sampled? Can the Yamaha DGX 670 record music and sound with a mic? Please help, brother
He said it right at the beginning, you asked for it!
Hello again Jeremy! I've seen several of your videos now, all super helpful! Arguably the most important advice I seek from you:
Which of these two pianos do you think would work better for a pianist (that is my primary training) and visual media composer who is looking to integrate an excellent-feeling 88-key keyboard into their home studio setup with Logic Pro X?
Sorry for the long sentences and potentially confusing questions haha, here are my three main asks:
1.) Which piano do you think would work better when used with the DAW Logic Pro X? (I know you also mentioned the Roland has Bluetooth and Bluetooth MIDI capabilities, how does the latter work with latency and such?)
2.) Which piano would be better to gig with and use for practice with my bandmates (so having to move it frequently; I assume this is the Roland but just want to be sure haha!)
3.) Which piano has a better solution for recording its output (so for example, if I wanted to capture the amazing onboard piano / EPiano samples of either the DGX 670 or FP-30X) into a DAW like Logic Pro?
Sorry again for the length here, just wanted to make sure I covered everything and provided some background info. Thank you Jeremy!!
For a musician like you, Roland fp30x would work better!
Bhai konsa liya phir?
The Roland piano sound is absolutely of higher quality than Yamaha one. Besides Dgx670 is sold at a too much price, about my opinion.
That's why this video exist ruclips.net/video/LokudMCaVcE/видео.html
Does the 670 have midi and audio over the usb port like the 30x and Yamaha p 125?. The 670 doesn't have l and r audio outputs either like the 30x or p125.
Yes, the DGX-670 can transmit & receive MIDI & digital audio via USB.
Thanks for sharing.
Is it a matter of import duties? I notice that many things like guitar gears are priced at the same number of Euros in the UK as dollars in the US (for example, a pedal priced €100 in the UK, will be $100 in the US, even the the Euro is stronger).
WHERE CAN I BUY STYLES FOR THE DXG-760.

Roland 701 is better than Yamaha Dgx670?
