I'm here for an honest discussion. I've also done 75 day hard it is tough as I only lasted 66 days but I'm looking to re-do it again because I was not focused as much but it helped me focus better. I have issues with certain food groups but plan to try some new things this year! Happy 2024 Ava!
I just had to respond because I noticed you said “I only lasted 66 days”… Saying “only” makes it seem like it’s not that big of a deal when most struggle to even get through the first week. 66 days is A LOT!!! So congrats for having pushed through basically 1/5 of a year 🙏🏼
Hey Ava, not everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. Some people commute far distances by bus after their 12 hour shift. Some people don’t have access to safe walking trails or apartment gyms. Some people have disabled relatives or children they care for after work. Some people work two jobs. Some people have night school. Think deeper about systems people face. Think, resources, inaccess in general, substandard housing and underdeveloped neighborhoods and sidewalks, types of jobs, poverty, climates below freezing, areas of the world that have more darkness than sunny Hawaii. I know your comment wasn’t that deep and no ill intentions but we truly do not all have the same 24 hours in a day, not even close! Though I wish I was a stay at home girlfriend too

I lasted 34 days when I attempted it this fall. It is so much harder than I thought! It felt like my days were centered around working out a second time while still making sure I got normal life done, which became so exhausting. Shit’s hard! Good work!

Here’s a tip for getting to a point where you can drink unsweetened coffee: wean yourself off of sugar. Maybe go a week with drinking your coffee with only about 75% sweet. The following week, only go 50% sweet. The 3rd week, only sweeten your coffee 25%. This lets your taste buds adjust gradually to less sugar more coffee tasting coffee and it doesn’t taste bad when you get to being able to drink it black. I love my coffee unsweetened and only add about 3tbsp of half & half to my 20oz iced coffee.
Ava: You are always inspiring me to try new things. For instance I just signed up for an 8 week beginner pottery class and I'm so excited. I've never heard of this 75 hard challenge but you got me thinking of changes I could make in my daily routines and ways I could push myself a little bit more each day. You said you hate veggies/ Try using a juicer to get them into your body. I make a morning juice using my Breville juicer every morning. It consists of apple, celery, parsley, ginger and spinach or some leafy green(not kale 🤢) if I have it. I drink 8-10oz of this in the morning before I make my hot lemon water with a drizzle of agave. Congrats on getting thru your first week of the challenge. I'm vegan and RUclips has been so fun in helping me to find new recipes to make. I can't wait to see how you do in the weeks to follow. My current self help book is: The Body Keeps the Score. I have Atomic Habits as my next book as it's gotten so many good reviews. You Got This Girl!!
reminder girly you dont haveee to change the way you like coffee jus cuz other ppl do it -- enjoy what you like !! However if you're just wanting to set a goal i always have my coffee with just almond milk, espresso, and erythritol, (its 0 cal sweetener) and doesn't harm your gut like stevia :) i add a little honey too and its like a honey almond latte. anyways adore your vids so much!! xx

hi ava! something that could help you with your coffee consumption goals, would be to try out specialty coffee! you can make it with a french press, thats the easiest way and you can play around with the intensity and flavour and find the perfect balance for you, if you make it right and with the right kind of coffee you can make something that is closer to a tea rather than the regular cup of black coffee that you would think of. i'm a huge coffee nerd and my boyfriend when we met he was not a fan at all, and i started trying different ways to make coffee so he would enjoy it and thats the one that made him like it! you can slowly build up the intensity to your liking and honestly it tastes amazing, plus there are a ton of different coffees and roasts that you can try! so yeah, i hope that helps! i dont want you to miss out on such a nice treat haha
My mother adds the slightest bit of pink Himalayan salt, like a pinch with the ground coffee, it takes some of the bitterness away, you should definitely try it, I think it will help

actually highly recommend starting with Throne of Glass and not Assassin’s Blade. ToG was published first and it’s a good intro to the characters to make the connections that make Assassin’s blade so meaningful! I’ve liked reading it 3rd and loved it that way

the way i got into liking black coffee was getting into flavored coffees first! i always get vanilla coffee from chamberlain coffee and i make it cold brew, and i always either add in a little sugar-free vanilla syrup or stevia + almond milk!

Ava, you probably wont see this but i think its important to mention. These videos, even if they have the best intentions, can be VERY toxic. Especially if you have younger followers. Dont get me wrong, wanting to improve your way of living is great, and by all means do what makes you happy but just be aware that comparison does a lot of damage. Its videos like these and challanges like 75 hard that can start innocently and lead to full blown eating disorders by the end. i know you mean well but I have had first hand experience with those living with EDs and this type of content/ restrivtive lifestyles do so much more harm mentally then then good. Maybe just consider the way in which you deliver your messages or keep this challange offline. I love you and your hawaii vlogs deeply and i know you would never want to do harm, this is just my opinion.

It's lovely that your boyfriend cooks dinner even when he comes home tired from work after a long shift. he would always feed you and cook for you when you are home all day. You should also learn more recepies and cook for him so he can rest too. :)

Ava, you probably wont see this but i think its important to mention. These videos, even if they have the best intentions, can be VERY toxic. Especially if you have younger followers. Dont get me wrong, wanting to improve your way of living is great, and by all means do what makes you happy but just be aware that comparison does a lot of damage. Its videos like these and challanges like 75 hard that can start innocently and lead to full blown eating disorders by the end.
i know you mean well but I have had first hand experience with those living with EDs and this type of content/ restrivtive lifestyles do so much more harm mentally then then good.
Maybe just consider the way in which you deliver your messages or keep this challange offline.
I love you and your hawaii vlogs deeply and i know you would never want to do harm, this is just my opinion.
