MORE PLEASE. This was a VERY high quality video, & I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could see every mark, the textures, exactly what you did w/ your palette knife. I found it immensely useful. I liked everything you had to say about what you were doing. I know you don’t think so, but seeing your palette, even just those couple times, was extremely useful information. It gives me an idea how you’re achieving certain effects on your board. I can see the viscosity of different colors, where you’re putting them (& when). I can see you mixing colors to achieve a certain muted or greyed color, like the reddish-grey, warm-toned clouds. I found this lesson quite engrossing, & it inspired me to get out my own 🎨… but only after I responded to some of your comments, bc I like to pretend we’re having a discussion 😁.
Btw, Im also very happy to hear you’re feeling better, Professor. You keep quite a schedule for yourself!
    - I agree AI will not be the end human painters. I think that’s a ridiculous conclusion.
    - Clicking a button will make you an actual painter the way playing playing sports video games will get you a shot at playing on a pro team.
    - Additionally, in and of itself, clicking a button, contrary to popular belief, will not make you “smart,” as we’ve come to learn over the last 15 yrs or so.
    - I have tested the hypothesis, “You can buy a 🎂 everyday, & nobody checks.”
I can tell you, I’ve found nothing to disprove this. However, it should be noted, if one eats a 🎂 everyday, no one will check, but there most definitely will be unwanted side effects.
    - I have fallen in love with the ambiguity of where sky meets land, in landscape paintings, bc of your videos.
I’ll end my feedback/ diatribe by saying how grateful I am to have the opportunity to have you as my teacher. Thank you.

Please inject other videos that are done without too much brush work and emphasizes pallet knife work. Thanks.

I have been oil painting and drawing for over 50 years, and my work is crap compared to this man's work !
He is a true modern day Master for sure . If there is a modern William Turner, it is this man ! I truly wish I were in good enough health to attend one on his classes, just to meet and watch in fascination, his painting skills !

The landscape looks vast, looks impressive, but as I commented a few minutes ago , I would like you to do something more with the sky. Those last few brush strokes improved it somewhat, yet I still feel it is not up to your NORMAL standard, which is MAGICAL. I do hope you come back to work some more on this painting, because as it's so much smaller than you usually paint, we lesser mortals may feel more confident with less area to cover and give it a bash.. Thank you for sharing this video, and sorry you took ill part way through, you're a real trooper. Best wishes Stuart.

I was wondering if it might be possible for you to paint a few landscapes or Skyscapes ( new word ), 1 foot high by 2 foot wide. Or more powerful 2 foot high and 4 foot wide. Something along that ratio, being of wide angle view of the county side. I do like this small sketch of yours.

This is amazing... just a couple of blobs turned into a painting! Thank You for sharing... I love your talking about how you think and your experience. I learned a lot! I´ve been watching lots of your teaching, but haven´t had the courage to paint in oil on larger canvases. Last week I made my first painting. Clouds turned out good, but something with the landscape is weird... ( I usually paint with acrylics and paste, often nonfigurative.) I´d love to know more about the lensseed oil... when/where. I bought a bottle which seems impossible to open! (Yes I pushed and turned). I´m looking forward to learning from you! Thank You!

I agree that AI will never replace actual painting but it's getting increasingly sophisticated. Rather than making photos look like paintings they can create entirely new images based on the data it has on the prompt you give it. Bing has a free image generator, try a prompt along the lines of 'a painting of New York in the style of Turner' the results are both impressive and slightly worrying!
