Survivor Series 2001 was such an iconic PPV I Remember watching that PPV Like it was yesterday I wanted The Alliance to win but looking back on it 20 years later glad they didn't win This was such an amazing PPV From Beginning to end This PPV Brought me so many Memories.
*_What Happened To The Venue?_* The southern Mecca of professional wrestling, the *Greensboro Coliseum* in Greensboro, North Carolina hosted Survivor Series in 2001. Opening in 1958 and being expanded up to 23,500 seats in 1993, it is actually the largest indoor arena in the United States. Along with the old Omni in Atlanta, the Coliseum was one of the old NWA-Jim Crockett Promotions' favorite building, with it hosting each of the first four Starrcade events, as well as WCW WrestleWar in 1990. On the other side of the War, the WWF held their Unforgiven: In Your House event in 1998 as well as the 1999 King Of The Ring at the Coliseum; and in just under 3 weeks, it will host AEW's Battle Of The Belts event as well. Outside of wrestling, the Coliseum's highest-profile sports tenants were both part-time operations: the Carolina Cougars of the ABA played 5 seasons splitting games between Greensboro, Charlotte and Raleigh before moving to St. Louis to become the Sprits; and the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL, who upon moving out of Hartford, Connecticut in 1997 - long live the Whalers - played two seasons in front of half-empty crowds at _best_ in the cavernous Coliseum, while their new arena in Raleigh, PNC Arena, was being built. Presently, the Coliseum is home to the Greensboro Swarm, the G-League farm team of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets.
Would love to see what happened to every wrestler in Lucha Underground season 1, I miss that show, keep up the good work as well, these videos are great
Billy Gunn looks at least 10 years younger than his age. Great to see him still working at a pretty good level today. I'm sure he has some artificial help, but dude is approaching 60... fair play.
@@franklingoodwin So you are saying people of that age can only look like that if they are "juicing"? I assume you do not mean juicing oranges either. Pretty sure Billy Gunn works out like crazy and that physique is natural.
@@jtp2007 I'm saying that based on the fact that he was actually fired from WWE for taking steroids and that he was taking them for bodybuilding competitions. You can look like that at his age naturally, but he doesn't look natural to me in the same way Vince McMahon didn't
Billy has used testosterone at a power lifting meet when he was doing the strongman/powerlifting thing. that's why wwe suspended him like six months after it happened. With that said allegedly he's been totally clean since joining AEW though.
William Regal has been released since you posted this video. I'm posting on January 12, 2022. And five more guys were probably released while I was typing this comment.

I don't know why HHH and Stephanie would actively encourage their kids to go into the in-ring side of the business instead of the corporate side. Trips is only in his early 50's and is already suffering "heart related incidents" that have put him on the shelf - for his kid's sake, I hope he lives a long life but stuff like that is a massive red flag when you consider how many of his peers die decades before their time. Throw CTE in the mix and I don't know why you'd wish that on your children.
WWE sucks and has done nothing but burry pro wrestling since 2008. They can not even call it pro wrestling anymore. Thank the lord their is a guy out there named Shahid Khan who owns the Jacksonville Jaguars , who decided to take a big gamble and allow his son Tony to run his own pro wrestling company with him backing the funds. Thats what this business needed. A true fan of wrestling to get wrestling back to where it is supposed to be. AEW will put WWE out of business with in the next coming years. Rumor has it they are already in talks with Fox, Disney and ABC to buy the company but Vince is not willing to let go of the company for under 2 billion dollars. I can say one thing, if any of those big companies purchase WWE off of Vince. You can burry the brand and everything about the brand 6 feet under because every single person that worked under Vince that is no longer on this earth will be rolling over in their own graves. Billy Gunn is just in an insanely impressive condition for not only his age but for any age. Built like a brick shithouse
Being juiced to the gills will do that for a man. Just see Vince McMahon at the same age for evidence of this

2001 is around the time, I had quit watching wrestling. I was in college and would watch it in the basement of my dorm with friends. Great time!
Imagine that immunity battle royal in this year.
It's not the Gunn Club, it's Billy Ass And The Ass Boys! Danhausen told me so!
Fellow fanhausen, we love that danhausen
You did not mention the best part of what Edge was doing since 2001: acting on the hit series Vikings.

Need more of that "We Didn't Start the Fire" parody in my life.
I should hate you for that we didnt start the fire bit... but I secretly loved it. Well played!
I didn't even Realise William regals sons wrestling, but dang he has the look of his dad in his younger days, that cold stare
After watching this, I now think Pacitti has a room in his flat full of blow up dolls with various faces taped on them.

This is what my life was missing. That piano tie
A suggestion for a future video is what happened to everyone from this awesome song.
