Man, those gun attacks utterly wrecked Shekinah. This ending feels more complete and fulfilling than the original chaos ending, that's for sure. Also, this finally addresses the final fate of the three wise men. They kind of dropped of the face of Earth in the original game along with their role in the plot without much development.
Jimenez and the MC, look at the sunset after their long journey and final battle. Then, they both look into each other Jimenez: So? MC: Yeah, that'll do Every single law demon having a god complex lol. First Mastema, then Demeter, then Shekinah. You know guys, you are not god, he is up there doing his stuff. ...right?
YHWH has defeated by Mem Aleph and the other mothers before the events in this game iirc. You can actually give his power back in NG+ by defeating a certain boss
And thus marks what I believe is the first instance of the feminine aspect of YHVH showing up as a boss in an SMT title. Progression-wise, I really like this encounter and how it works. Alas, she was no match for the Riot Brooklyn. - Demeter's finale is straight out of a Greek tragedy; they knew what they were doing with that one. - New Chaos is alright. Those statues are still weird, though.
Holy crap that piercing app. How did you get it? Other than that you overkilled Shekinah pretty hard. Passives like the gun boost are pretty busted here.
Lets just say if you have a weakness and lack magic stat (my case) I ain't surviving most hits without a lot of buffs/debuffs (and this thing can get rid of them or, worse, reverse them at any point if I get too greedy). I was too lazy to grind the MC further to get him more tanky so I went with an aggressive bumrush strat that assumed I was gonna die every turn. I mostly needed the MC for the orders and item spam (since they have priority in action order), not so much for damage lol
A reset to zero for humanity with everyone able to decide their own fate. Still a primal earth where survival of the fittest is likely happen, but without Mem Alephs influence that makes every living thing including her demon young into psychopaths. Demons likewise reclaim their true forms but can be more benign without their Mothers Madness influencing them.
It’s basically just neutral but demons are free to do their own thing and are worshipped by the humans or something. This honestly felt more like a neutral ending than chaos.

Crazy how Chaos is the easiest ending to get but New Chaos is the most difficult.
