@@thecarguy7238 someone asked David will Pink Floyd ever tour again, this was a number of years back and he answered "What Pink Floyd?" He was doin solo tours but that too was a few years back. David is 78
I love when "new" listeners have "Pink Floyd/David Gilmore" Moments. I could see it in your face the moment you had yours! Welcome to the machine... see you on the dark side of the moon!
There are/were very few people on this Earth who could pick up a guitar and make it sing like as if it had a soul of it's own. David Gilmore is/was one of them along with Erick Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Dick Dale and a handful of others, absolute guitar legends and heroes! Their songs will live on long after they are gone. God bless you all and thank you for your contribution to music history!
I absolutely love the live version of this song! The guitar solo is just epic and seems to go on forever! Pink Floyd live in concert (and David Gilmour on his solo shows) are amazing. I was fortunate enough to see David Gilmour on his solo tour in 2016. He was 70 years old at the time and still sounded amazing. If you ever want to see a more recent video of him that also features a wonderful guitar solo, I suggest 'David Gilmour, Live in Pompeii, Comfortably Numb.' Turns on computer, instantly gets a notification to watch this and hope you`re not turning away from RUclips, can`t beat a bit of Floyd especially with our (my) Gracie. Try Pink Floyd`s One of These Days.
Great job, Gracie - you never disappoint! Your next Pink Floyd reaction should be to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"! If you have already done that one then I would recommend each track on "Dark Side of The Moon", one after the other! If you've done that, how about "Run Like Hell" from the Pulse concert 1994? Best wishes to you!!
One of the rare cases, when i prefer live version on my media playlist instead of studio one! A lot of sounds are subdued in the studio version compared to this particular one, including all other voices of everyone else, who joins Gilmour to sing along after first guitar epic! Then the lower register of the guitar is also subdued in the studio version compared to this one…in studio version it is very vague and is dominated by other sounds…here you can hear it in all its glory!
Gracie, there's something going wrong here. I always enjoyed and supported your reactions, and I'd like to encourage you to enjoy music to it's fullest. BUT, too many reactors separate out the tonality and rhythm from the lyrics. This was a heart crushing protest song about the homeless and displaced members of society. But in this case, you only mentioned the key words, "on the turning away", but I think it was clear you missed turning away from what, exactly. Maybe you could use a separate device to provide yourself with the lyrics and treat each song as a compete experience? I'd LOVE to see you as the #1 reactor on RUclips, but I hope you'll understand it takes more than "vibes" to understand a song. Stay safe and healthy, young one, and understand I wrote these words with respect and appreciation for you and your channel. 🌹💐👼
To be fair not everyone understands a work of art the first time they hear, see, read, ect... There are a lot of things that I didn't understand until a further study and I am sure the same can be said for us all.... Where ever life finds you I hope if finds you and those that you love safe and well....
@@cornfedjuggalo Couldn't agree more, Jerry. I'm absolutely not a bully or anything. As you saw, I simply encourage reactors to have lyrics available to add to their understanding. Take care, and thank you for a thoughtful comment. ☮️🤗
This band defines Masterclass Musicianship. No other will ever be like this.
But it isn't pink Floyd is it it's a pink Floyd song granted but it's not pink Floyd because Rodger waters isn't in the line up
Roger decided to go and left it to em. You know David , Richard and Nick did well carrying it on.
@@srt8rocketship241 but it's still not pink Floyd that was the point I was making I wasn't trying to start a debate

There will NEVER be another musician like David Gilmour🎸
😊😊😊

I have been going to concerts since the 1960's. Loads of them. I never saw anything remotely as good as these guys.
I mean there's Pink Floyd, and who else really? Absolute mastery. Love it!

And Santana, ofcourse!
The expression on your face it says everything! It's a BONZA reaction!👌
I strongly recommend watching them perform "High Hopes" from the Pulse concert in London in 1994.
I second this! C'mon Gracie, and be prepared to be pulled into an absolute existential ride of a lifetime.

David Gilmour is simply the GOD of emotional guitar playing bar none.🇬🇧👍
Isn't this the most amazing music.
No more turning away.
Thanks for listening with me.

You’re angelic…

Girl the guitars got you
@Gracie Reacts. I loved your reaction from the heart.
Your video tells all you have been Pink Floyd'ed fortunately there is a mountain of performances for you to explore.
Try Pink Floyds - Sorrow Live Pulse restored version.... and also Keep Talking Live
Amazing

BTW - 8:07 is the best backing vocalist I know - Margaret Taylor !!!
THIS is Gilmour’s greatest guitar solo - better than Comfortably Numb.
No
it is debatable
sorrow is his best solo i think... just ones opinion... hehe
Yes, this is _at least_ as good as Comfortably Numb, and in my books more satisfying. 💘🎸👌🎸
I believe his greatest guitar solo is from Dogs. This one is also great, and he is the best ever!
He plays to the song, not to his ego.
I get the feeling that this isn't a first reaction. Keep them authentic plz. Good vid :)
Well it is my first time listening to that song but not my first time listening to pink floyd 😊
Gracie you are so beautiful X
