When Arnold throws the machete in Predator and tells the guy to "Stick around," you can barely make out a poster behind the guerrilla that looks to have the word fragments of Val Verde, written vertically next to the word Victoria. It's a stretch. Like a Super Stretch Armstrong stretch.
BREAKING NEWS: Disney has acquired the rights to the Val Verde cinematic un!verse and has planned to release 2 Terminator, 5 Die Hard, 3 Alien, 6 Blade Runner, 1 Speed and 3 Sharknado reboots. As well as 2 new seasons of glee, 1 limited addition Archie print and an all male reboot of Josè and the Pussycat Dolls.

Anyway I have to admit that, before playing the video, I was wondering if this was related to some sort of unknown cinematic production company here in Sicily, since "Val Verde" is an actual town, around 70km (or 43miles for American friends, but you're Canadian so we both share the Metric Universe, indeed 😝😂😂😂) away from my home town of Syracuse. Still, very interesting.
Now I'm curious to know if there is an actual cinema production area in Val Verde, or if there are some forests (stuffed with alien monsters, probably 🤔👽😱) or terrorist hideouts... although I guess that, being near the Mt. Etna, it would be more like a nice Souther Sicilian town 😅
Other than that: WOOOW can't wait to see the next episodes of animalogic 😍 (with external shootings? Marvellous!)

Even this wasn't the first CU. I don't know which was first but I know that the old Universal monster movies crossed over quite often... even if it was only for a few scenes. And that was LONG before Val Verde.

I'm of mixed feelings towards Val Verde.
On the one hand it's kinda dismissive to make up a country in your own fucking continent, and while attempts to not disparage a specific country are ok, the implication that ANY South American Country could be just a jungle dotted by rebels seems kinda worse. "Could be anywhere, folks! Guatemala, Chile, Panama they ALL like that."
On the other hand I do like it Val Verde and it showing up on so many movies, you know?
