I made the ranch powder, and then I added 2 tablespoons to a food processor with cream cheese and pickle juice. It was amazing! Thank you so much for this awesome recipe.
STEVE!!! Yet ANOTHER winning and versatile recipe! just mixed 1 TBSP with 1/3 cup of each taste test wet ingredient: plain greek vs sour cream vs chosen foods avocado mayo. ALL were good... but the greek yogurt was the unanimous winner!
I gotta make this! Everything out there commercially, even organic, is loaded with GMO maltodextrin. Thank you for the store-bought recommendation and the recipe! I will be making this, using it, and enjoying it! Thanks Steve!
You can also find buttermilk powder at the grocery store near the baking products (at my grocery store, it's on the bottom shelf next to the baking soda) and it looks like this: amzn.to/3KZEDLi Also, I throw a desiccant packet into any dry ingredients I make or buy to keep them fresh longer: amzn.to/3TYCKT5
I realized how bad most dry ranch was a few years back and started making my own! It's been a while so thanks for the refresher, definitely going to whip up a batch this week!
Thanks Steve, I finally tried your ranch powder blend and it is so good. I find it better than the Hidden Valley brand; it has so much more flavor and with very clean ingredients. Ranch dips and dressings are very loved by my family and thanks to you I can finally give them a healthier alternative. BTW my husband is obsessed with it and said “this does not taste keto”! You’re the best!
I don't taste dill in ranch dressing. All recipes call for dill, but I just don't taste it in the original. I support anyone in having their dill, though! I am going to try it today. Sans dill. 😁
You had me at fresh ranch dressing (hate the bottled and fake stuff) but then adding "the best BLT sandwich...without the bun" was an extra bonus. Can't wait to try them.
Omgggggg!!!! I made this tonight! I had to wait for Amazon to deliver my pogo stick wisk😁 This homemade ranch dressing is life changing!!!! Im soooooo mad at myself for buying ranch dressing all my life!!!! You are truly God's favorite man lol thank you love!!!!
Thanks again Steve. I haven't been able to have Ranch dressing since starting Keto. You just gave it back to me. Love your recipes. Oh, and hope you have a safe and wonderful trip to Hawaii.
I knew I could trust in you to come up with a crap-free version of Ranch powder. Thanks Steve. I have made my own in the past but I wasn’t thrilled with the recipe I found. I’ll try this out and I’ll let you know what I think. It looks like a winner to me! I’ll be quadrupling the recipe I am sure.
I call this a 'just in time' video. Five days back on keto and yesterday I told Hubs I am making 'real' ranch dressing mix. He can get the benefit of a cleaner product even though he is not eating keto. Thanks!
Maltodextrin has a high glycemic index value of 185-105. Compare that to the glycemic index value of sugar which is 65. One would be better off just eating the sugar. BTW, thanks for the recipe and the video.

I make a ranch seasoning but I don't put buttermilk powder in it. I have started using buttermilk powder in bread. I will try it. Thank you Steve for the recipe!
I been using the recipe you showed with heavy cream and vinegar. I love this one, too. Content, your narration and description of the recipe, camera shots, and your discussion of ingredients. Makes for good content and attention span.
You had me at "Ranch". Can't wait to make the ranch dressing, dip and rub for my chicken. Oh and let's not forget the salad that made my mouth water. Thank you so much for everything
It’s been a while since seeing one of your videos, I’m too busy lately to be online, but this one I had to watch. Not only is ranch my favorite food group, but I happen to have a huge bag of buttermilk powder that hasn’t sold and I was planning to donate it, not knowing what to do with it. Thanks Steve for this great recipe and for all the hard work you do.
Dude, I have to make this, I have all the ingredients aside from buttermilk powder, most of it from our greenhouse. Thanks for sharing this I need to get on it now :)
Thank you Steve, this sounds like a great idea and gave me thoughts on where else to use buttermilk powder for other dressings or as a marinade for chicken, fish and liver when adding water. I’ve been making my own bouillon cubes and liquid, mushroom and other powders. Guess you probably would call me an ingredient police. I think Ranch is really popular in the USA, I’ve only had it in Restaurants on salads or with chicken wings - always made my own salad dressings as I mostly threw out half spent jars of purchased products. In Europe French dressing, which is reddish here is white probably similar to Ranch. (I’m in Canada). The only condiment that I won’t fool with is the original Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, use very little and I’m not going to sweat over the sugar.
Can't wait to try this Steve. Also wanted to let you know that your last extended fast inspired me. I met my health goals in 2018 with a combo of both intermittent and extended fasting, and change of diet. Since then, I'd been really lax on fasting beyond 24 hours. But right now I'm on day 5.

Love the channel. Regarding MSG, I have no problem using it at all. If you're going to add onion powder, garlic, parmesan cheese, fish sauce, tomato paste, etc. to a recipe, you're adding the same amino acid. It makes my food taste better! When it comes to various sugars, us keto folks recognize this equivalency concept - that it does not matter where the molecule comes from. I see glutamate the same way. Cheers!
Oh, as soon as I'm done with this BBB&E challenge I'm going to make that ranch dressing! Man that salad looked tasty. I love wedge salads. Thanks for the recipes!
Hey Steve can't wait to make this for my son and daughter-in-law they are ranch dressing hounds and I hate the bad ingredients in there. I would love to know if you have any thoughts on something for a similar dressing to Ken's country French dressing . It's the only dressing my husband will use. It's on the line of a Russian or Catalina. But all of those have soybean oil as the first ingredient . So I hope you have some kind of cool idea on that
I just bought some buttermilk powder. I was hoping to try and figure out a way to make keto southern style biscuits. I haven't found a recipe that satisfies my biscuit cravings I get once in a while (thankfully I don't have them often but something that has been on my mind recently). My husband loves ranch but I haven't found a ranch recipe that he has liked yet, he's looking for a dupe of the store bought and I think homemade has too much flavoring LOL. I'll try this one and see if I can dial in on the ratios he prefers.
Lol, my mouth is literally watering it's 6 in the morning and now I want to raid the fridge with ranch dip 😂, I knew it was a mistake to watch at this time in the morning 🤣🤣🤣
Great video!! So many ideas! Looking forward to the coming spice blend videos. Btw, where did you get your salt container? It can hold my pink salt, and my sea salt. Thanks!
THIS is just awesome! Thank you so much! I'm a ranch lover and the clean ingredients are now on my list. Looking forward to your future uses videos. Once again, thank you for all you're doing. 😁
My husband has a food sensitivity to garlic and onion, so I am accustomed making all my own dressings and condiments. This is a great recipe for me ,I simply omit the garlic and onion powders. Thanks for the recipe! Also a great idea to use the savory Keto Chow mixes, but I must check the ingredients list first. Getting ready to make your shredded beef 😏
I finally made your scallion sauce this week and it was absolutely perfect! Can’t wait to try this. On a side note, I baked a loaf of three ingredient bread from lowcarbnorma that contained only tahini, eggs and baking soda. It turned out beautiful but it is missing something. I was hoping maybe you could take a look and see if your culinary expertise could give me some ideas.
That was an awesome recipe. I love ranch. I usually make my own using the pre-package Hidden Valley, but then I step up the game by adding a tablespoon of horseradish and a half tsp of paprika. I will now try your way and add my secrete ingredients. (Not so secrete now)

I do not care for Ranch even a little bit, to avoid using stronger words. Lol It was my daughter's favorite, but now it's one of her favorites. I am very happy to follow this recipe!!! I love , love, love bulk or any "dry batch" mixes, It looks like I may even truly like this. May I ask you? How do you figure out macros? I have never ever found an app or web site that can do the job. Some don't recognize keto flours or recipes and the keto apps and sites mistake you wanting recipe macros, for what your count "should" be.
I use Cronometer based on Steve's recommendation. It is super easy to enter recipes & they already have most of the items I have used in their database! WIN/WIN! ;-)
I can't have dairy so I found a couple vloggers who use cream of tartar to the spice blend to add that twang of buttermilk. Hope that helps. I don't even add coconut milk powder... just spices seems great when added to plain mayo or mayo & yogurt stuff :-)
Great recipe! Thanks! How do you store it? How long does it keep? Same question for buttermilk powder..how do you store that and how long does it keep? I've been reluctant to buy buttermilk powder not knowing. Thanks for any advice!

I hate how all of these dressings have to add crappy ingredients. Thank you for this recipe! It is truly appreciated 😊🙏
Ohmygoodness - I didn’t have buttermilk powder, but decided to try it without (after all the base recipe has cream and vinegar…) so good!
