China's block has been huge this tournament. They are playing way better than expected. Brazil is lacking on defense and always seems to be out of system.
Wow what a match. I know they haven't been very consistent in recent years, but when they're dialled in, China is my favourite team to watch in women's vball. I can't imagine how they do it, but they're both incredibly fast and powerful, and the blocking is from a different universe. Amazingly solid performance!

Team Brazil literally played without a proper opposite spiker in this tournament. They don’t have a killer player like Tandara anymore. Thaisa was incredible. Kudos to her.

Set 1& 2, China had a convincing runaway win.. Set 3 Brazil played incredibly well coming from behind at 1:7 to clinch a runaway win. Set 4 Brazil was playing catch up, China too consistent the Match Winner. WoW what a game ...
Both teams delivered an awesome match. China plays more like a team compared to Brazil in the entire match. The outside hitters and opposites for Brazil are not at their usual performance including Gabi, Maiara, Kisy, and Bergman. Ana Cristina is also not here for Brazil, which makes Brazil's attack a little weaker than usual. Brazil was struggling in scoring points today by utilizing their hitters, and all Brazil can do in the first two sets is to rely on Thaisa for reliable attacks. Thaisa's offensive game today is outstanding especially the first two sets. However, I think the 36 year old Thaisa was given too much attacks by the setter, which kind of drains Thaisa's stamina earlier than expected. This might be the reason why Thaisa is not active in blocking today against China and Thaisa seems to be a bit slow when it comes to blocking and movement on the court today. China on the other end was having superb blocking performance today. Yuan xinyue made an impact in blocking througout the match, which is the key to winning the game against Brazil. China also had consistent scoring from hitters like Li yingying, and Gong xiangyu. While Gabi was often times taken out of transition from China's serve, which forces Brazil to choose either Thaisa for middle attacks or to rely on Bergman, and Kissy. However, Tainara came out from the bench and help Brazil when needed, which is a little surprising. Overall, China deserves the win as they are playing more like a team than Brazil as these Chinese players are all actively participating and contributing in the game. Imagine if Zhu ting comes back, China's team strength is going to increase by another level. And maybe if Zhu ting is here, China could win this game in three sets instead of four. Brazil should be proud of themselves for making this far, I wouldn't worry too much about Brazil as I believe they can find their rythm back in the future.
They; players some of who gave brief interview before last year world championship and that grimmed looking coach are telling the story that they will march without Zhu who leaves the team and seeks downfall. too much of unnecessary personal ego. Should start looking for redemption to contribute in coming Olympic.

Congratulations China! The lone representative of Asia for the next round. I also love Brazil that's why I look forward on seeing them again for the Olympic qualifiers in good condition. On the latter part of set 3 and on set 4, China again had a hard time on their reception and coverage. I still hope that they will win against a strong Poland 💛❤️
It should be 3-0. In the 3rd set, China was leading 8-2, some of the players had started to lose their concentration, Coach Cai should call for a time-out, reminded their players or made some changes to get the player's concentration back. He didn't do it and let the plays go on, and lost the 3rd set.

Chinese blockers were really superb on this match! China could've finished this match in 3. At least Asia has representation in the semis, too bad not for the south american continent.
It was so odd to me that the Brazilian offense kept hitting into the block, always trying to challenge and break the Chinese wall instead of avoiding them completely or hitting off high hands. With that said, China’s blocking was huge in this game!

I have a different opinion, China’s reception is fine , but their biggest issue is blocking. And today , they did pretty well on blocking, so they won.

The Brazilians are blaming the wrong people again. Gabi did all the work in defense in this match. Gabi took all the receptions. She couldn't attack from defense until Bergmann came into the game. When Bergmann came into the game and the defense recovered a bit, Gabi joined the attack and scored points. You are being ungrateful to Gabi. When Gabi plays offensively, she contributes a lot and becomes an unstoppable spiker. You need another spiker to defend. When Bergmann is on the field, your attack power decreases. Ana Cristina was invaluable to this team.
Yes, when she doesn't have to carry the defense Gabi can focus on giving her best offense-wise. I can't think of an example with the national team but just like what happened in her club team with MBH being the defensive OH, Gabi was a scoring machine. Not saying that she's less of a scoring machine now, but when there's no other player who can cover the defenses she can truly gives her 120% with the attackings.

Brazilians criticize the team bec they played well below their standard. It is ok to lost but not in a manner like this. With so many errors and very bad floor defense. Also fans have been clamoring to let a new younger team to play like what Italy did for the experience.

She received amount of hates not in other country but in Turkey itself. Better not say that because it comes back to you. You’ll hate Vargas if you lose that’s for sure, even Eda you criticized her in her bad games. People are crazy about volleyball, just chill and relax and enjoy the games. There’s a win and lose , there’s a bad and good game. No one’s perfect.
Brazil lacks a forceful, consistent and effective attacker like Ana Cristina that can make every attack count regardless if it's not a strong one. And saying so, Macris can distribute the attacks in every corner.

this is sad:( I think that Gabi, Thaisa and macris were outstanding, anyways i missed so much the Brazilian block. This is sad u know, me as a fan of Brazilian Team i have to say that they right now are not in their best moment, they’re weak on being effective with the attacks, although gabi es one of best outside hitters in the world, she can’t do it all, she played really well, but sadly she doesn’t count with a entire team with her level, like the rest of outside hitters and opposites, there aren’t good ones, like a few years ago:(. This is sad💔 I hop in the next seasons Brazil get recovery, I’m missing it so much. And day to day that this things happen makes me want more and more Brazil getting the Gold medal

this is sad:( I think that Gabi, Thaisa and macris were outstanding, anyways i missed so much the Brazilian block. This is sad u know, me as a fan of Brazilian Team i have to say that they right now are not in their best moment, they’re weak on being effective with the attacks, although gabi es one of best outside hitters in the world, she can’t do it all, she played really well, but sadly she doesn’t count with a entire team with her level, like the rest of outside hitters and opposites, there aren’t good ones, like a few years ago:(. This is sad💔 I hop in the next seasons Brazil get recovery, I’m missing it so much. And day to day that this things happen makes me want more and more Brazil getting the Gold medal

至于巴西，永远是一支值得尊重的球队，你在任何时刻都不能小瞧。吉马良斯教练是一位优秀的教练，他的临场指挥非常棒。看到塔伊萨再度出现在国家队很感动，她曾受过严重的伤，还能保持如此高的水平，看到她我们又想起了谢拉，法比亚娜，杰奎琳，帕乌拉，法比，弗法奥，加雷那支辉煌的队伍，如今塔伊萨的优秀表现再度证明当初那支巴西是多么可怕。希望塔伊萨明年巴黎奥运会还能保持如此好的竞技状态。

Até hoje não entendo porque a permanência da Rosamaria, na seleção. Essa mulher teve oportunidade na seleção, se não presta, manda vazar. Infelizmente não temos uma oposta habilidosa em quadra, nem no banco, que podemos contar como bola de segurança. Estamos sem volume de jogo, jogadoras de fundo de quintal, deixando Gabi sobrecarregada 😢
