We love Mother shiptons cave. We take our grand daughters there for the Christmas and Easter. Next time we will go for Halloween! The town is amazing too. Thanks for sharing 👍

Mother Shipton's Cave was great and it was so quiet when we visited.
Knaresborough is a lovely place to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our 1st visit there.

We visited this over 30 years ago when it was owned by the late great Paul Daniels. Back then it was just one person leading you on a woodland trail down to the basic well. The new owners have developed this into a far better attraction. I now wish we had spent more time exploring the river area. Looks like you had a great day.

We like it here on market day when the streets fill with stalls. That riverside cafe is a favourite too. We have never been to Mother Shipton`s Cave though. It looks like you had a bit of fun exploring the attractions. Hope your wishes come true.

Many years ago (50+) they used to help the petrifying well along by putting bags of limestone in the waters path, also you did the right thing of making a wish by putting your hand in the wishing well and letting it dry, people used, probably still do, mistakenly throw coins into the well, much to the delight of local young delinquents who would go help themselves, the walk, used to be called the long walk and was a public right of way back then
