This was stupidly loud but bareable. 😂 If you’ve never filmed a siren before I highly advise wearing ear defenders and if you’d want to stand under the siren then use hearing protection!! *(You can go deaf if standing too close to these!)*

I have a question. Does Britain only have these kinds of sirens, or are there any different ones?

There are lots of different variants like these electro-mechanical ones such as: Klaxon / Secomak CS8’s, Klaxon / Secomak GP8’s, Klaxon MasterBlasters, Gent 2/4/8HP, Gent Tri-Tones, Carters, Castle Castings, etc. There’s also electronic ones that use speakers to make sound such as: Hörmann ECN 600/1200/1800/2400/3000, Klaxon ES1S/2S/3S/4S/Turbo, etc.

I’m going to visit carstairs in may and june so I will see after those tests if any of the shutters are jammed 👍 the ten port side shutter is opening very slowly so it could well be jammed shut. 😔 Lanark CS8 which I filmed in October was found to have a jammed open shutter in march.
