As i get older and dafter these wonderful songs and lyrics that i lived and knew as a young man have more power and comfort than i thought possible, wow i,m lucky.
Regarding his catalogue from 1980 through today, I challenge anybody to find a better songwriter than Neil. Oh.........and these 3 are stunning on the harmonies.
I remember connecting with a guy at work as a 22yr old years ago over our shared love of Neil Finn. Nobody else was interested or even knew who he was amongst our peer group. One day at his house, he asked me to play this song on guitar for his Dad, who was in tears by the end of it.
Wow. Only gut-wrenching, kick-ass songs can stand up to acoustic treatments. I never paid much attention to Crowed House but this version of 'Fall At Your Feet' makes me feel the raw emotions that haven't been there for decades. I hope generations yet to come will hear this and know what we felt.
Actually... you should thank Google's algorithm for ending up here. Of course, if we look at the big picture we can thank the universe for this but thinking on that lines we should thank the universe for everything, making it a little redundant. :)
Neil Finn is a genius, his voice is amazing his songs are classics he deserves more recognition. This performance with Roddy Frame is bfillaint massive respect
This was my first cassette single i ever had when i was ten years old and that's going back 1983 My Oldest Sister brought this for me and the first time we played it together my sister picked me up put me on her Lap had her Arms around my waist and started crying I'll Never forget it and Now Every time I play this by myself My heart just Sink's.
Boy, I'd love to hear what Finn and Frame could come up with together for an album. Originals, covers, whatever - I bet it would be fantastic listening.
i split my life between the UK and NZ. The kiwis are the luckiest people on the planet, beautiful people, stunning countryside and some damn fine music.as a UK resident im damn lucky to have a Kiwi god daughter and i couldnt be happier to visit Aotearoa when i can.
not enough superlatives invented to describe Neil Finn, He is pure genius. Every pore resonates with it. I would literally kiss his feet if I could. I'm in total awe of him. Met him once.. His aura is huge. He is truly beautiful too, has to be said.
@@Patrick-ef6je I was at this concert just 3 days ago and honest to god (and please forgive my language but I can't think of a better way to put it) they were fcukin brilliant. They are so good live that although this was the first time I've seen them live it DEFINITELY WON'T be the last. Fall at your feet was one of the most emotional moments in my life, there was so much love in the arena, everyone all together, having a great time and all because of these lads,if I ever bump into them I will spend my last penny buying them a drink because I owe them for how good they made me feel.aye mate, your right, crowded house rock
Leslie Sorry I have to reply this late😊. I am so fortunate to have you as one of my Fan..I am currently carrying out a social media experiment, and would love to know how I have impacted my fans with what I do.. "The finger of blame has turned upon itself, And I'm more than willing to offer myself, Do you want my presence or need my help, Who knows where that might lead" Chilling to the core ❤❤. Listening since the 80s as the youngest of 5 kids in the Dublin suburbs and now at 40 will listen and listen and listen some more. Lyrical Genius. Noone can raise a candle to this man. Neil Finn.......the man, the myth, the legend. Ireland 🇮🇪 welcomes you this week ❤❤❤❤!! 23/06/24 in Ireland 🎉. See you in Cork on Sunday!
It's funny, Graham's low harmony is not quite like Crowded House's bassist sings live and apparently on the recording, & the timing of Roddy's answer vocal in the chorus (which is the real hook of the song) is not anywhere close to the actual notes Crowded House's keyboardist sings in the background live when the band performs (and their drummer sang on the original recording?), but strangely, this loose acoustic version is superior to the original full band recording because the reverb on Finn's voice is superior, Graham's voice is a better blend & Roddy's wacky wailing is fantastic, a la Radiohead. And the overall mood fits the song & lyric like a glove in this setting...sign this trio up! Call 'em The Brit, The New Zealander & the Scot (BNZS)... ❤️
Having noticed that Roddy Frame is playing a solo acoustic show at Cadogan Hall in December I decided to 'RUclips' him tonight. As a result I found this and the other Finn/Frame/Gouldman videos. Just wonderful...
What a great, raw vid!!!! On a side note it s totally beyond me why 83 people give such a toss about people not liking something that they quite rightly like.....
anyone else feeling that last verse? The finger of blame has turned upon itself And I'm more than willing to offer myself Do you want my presence or need my help Who knows where that might lead
True. That's the beauty of Neil's song writing. Being able to sum up a myriad of emotions in a single verse. An amazing human being with astounding understanding of the human condition.
I don't think RUclips has much better to offer than this really.
Just stunning
If only this was jazz
There's that channel with fart and diarrhea sounds
Fo sho 👍
Agreed
Neil’s voice is absolutely gold. Studio quality.
Scotlands number one band 😊
Don't know if people realise just how good this song is
As i get older and dafter these wonderful songs and lyrics that i lived and knew as a young man have more power and comfort than i thought possible, wow i,m lucky.
You tell it man
What life is about. Transcendental
one of the best singer songwriters of all time
Luke Hurst Paul McCartney said if you want to speak to the best singer songwriter alive speak to Neil Finn. That says it all
@@albertbraindead5447 no he didn't.. He never said that.
@@Lmclean89 did... He told me last week when we were having a pint down the Kings head. Tight bastard never gets a round in though.

Most Definitely i love them
Best vocal performance I've ever heard.
All three men genuinely enjoying playing and being in each others company. Three world class musicians on top of their game.
Greatest songwriter of the late 20th Century, Neil Finn
Take it Ronny...... what a star..
Roddy.
Incredible performance, it just does NOT get better than this. This version is haunting its so good.
Oh wow, you used the same word to describe this video as I did, 11 years ago.. I guess it is haunting!
Yep, its far out, melody breaks it so beautifuly, harmonies so simple, a moment captured perfectly,
I remember connecting with a guy at work as a 22yr old years ago over our shared love of Neil Finn. Nobody else was interested or even knew who he was amongst our peer group. One day at his house, he asked me to play this song on guitar for his Dad, who was in tears by the end of it.
Truly one of my favourite artists, I try to reference Crowded House or Split Ends and still nothing. A tree shame.
NeiL FINN. GOAT❤
Such an under rated vocalist. To carry this song solo with just his guitar at the beginning is so special
Same!!
Would actually commit crime to have been at this gig. Neil Finn is a genius
One of the greatest songwriters ever.
i have listened to this song 1000`s of times over the years, and it brings me out in goosebumps, and to tears, wonderful song, pure PURE CLASS....
What a happy accident to have ended up here so unexpectedly. Thank you universe.

Me too. Saw Crowded House live back in the late 80's. Good times. VERY good times.
Had a child with the love of my life. Every weekend me and him are together we listen to his mum and wish things could be perfect
Top drawer. Superb
Neil Finn and Roddy Frame on the same stage makes me so happy.
Nothin' like a Neil Finn ballad to get you there; he speaks so well of men & women. O mercy!...
Neil Finn is just a musical genius, whose been put on this planet to write and sing the most beautiful songs.
I'm completely obsessed with Neil Finn's voice in this gig

Beautiful rendition of a beautiful song. Finn is a brilliant talent. Thanks to Roddy for his solo and graham for his harmony.
This is, by a very long way, the best performance of this song I've ever heard. It hits so sweetly.

except if you're his brother
