Ok, I watched this episode when it aired. Left comment my truck p2057 regen frequency. Dealer had it twice no idea what’s wrong. Was about to lighten my truck to fix. Thinking about what was said here, I thought, won’t work but it’s only a few bucks, comparatively. I had put fuel stabilizer and cleaner with certain boost, last week no help. Poured bottle of DEF Crystal Cleen in half a tank of def. Drove 250 miles went into regen cleared in 36.8 miles. Went 100 miles no soot build up. Was hopeful. Got in truck this morning drove 20 miles on back roads dpf loaded to 25%. Decided to get treatment doses of both hotshot fuel treatment and rislone def treatment. Used scanner to check for new codes, no new only p2057. When reader removed, def tank showed empty, came in with 1/2 tank. Bought new box, added Rislone to cube poured into tank, tank still shows empty. All of a sudden gauge jumped up, dropped back to zero, then showed full. Drove to Marathon added hotshot to tank filled drove home dpf up to 25%. Ate lunch, jumped back in truck, went on Interstate regen started cleared in 32.4 miles and check engine light went out for the first time in 3 months! Drove across the State at 75 mph then back no soot build up. I am hopeful, the problem was crystallized def tank. Power is back, fuel mileage is climbing, no chk engine light!
After all of these years, I finally bought my first diesel, a 2023 Chevy 2500HD with the L5P. This was one of the very first products I bought, along with Archoil. I use this truck as my daily. I drive semis for a living so I build up fuel points and use those points to buy cubes of Peak. So the Rislone should mitigate the risks associated with using the cubes. I have half a cube at home and didn't think to treat it so I'll be doing that. I used the DEF Chrystal Clean then Treatment in the dosage bottle. Hopefully I won't see the issues experienced in my work trucks. Great video, great info! I've personally seen several of our late Freightliners go into limp mode, including my Freightliner, due to DEF pump failures, and these trucks are driven around the clock.
Ya for my 2022 6.7 SO 2500 thats a 6k price tag with possible legal issues driving thru some states my state Texas would be fine see them all the time but that isnt the best choice for everyone
If this is the end-all solution for DEF crystallization / degradation, it begs the obvious two questions: 1) is Rislone working with DEF blenders to integrate into high end DEF cubes? 2) is Rislone working with EPA ISO standards & protocols for the added requirement for DEF to not crystallize (by ensuring their product is blended in every DEF offering).
I use this product once a month. And i put Def from the pump. I have no problem, i believe that all depend how often this system is working. I do Hotshot so my def never get old and dont last a week. I charge def every diesel refill. So my def tank is never empty and this avoid cristalization
While driving my daughter to camp from NYC to upstate Maine in my 2014 Chevy Cruze diesel, it went into limp mode with Poor DEF quality code. Got stuck for 3 days while waiting for a new Def pump and Def injector. It was a nightmare. Wish I had known about this stuff. A delete kit would be nice.
Drive your truck open it up on the highways ,diesel are meant to run not baby them, pulling loading truck a working mans truck..no babies please.keep your tank full and cycled
Question for anyone out there...."How much of the Rislone Diesel DEF Treatment should we be adding for every 2.5 gallons of DEF"?. Would be really nice to know so that we can just add and ounce or two each time we put in a 2.5 gallon box of DEF.
I agree. I cant find this ratio anywhere! Question for anyone out there...."How much of the Rislone Diesel DEF Treatment should we be adding for every 2.5 gallons of DEF". Would be really nice to know so that we can just add and ounce or two each time we put in a 2.5 gallon box of DEF.
Just had software update done to my 2015 2500 ram 6.7 diesel engine. Now it flashes you have 150 mile before limp mode.see dealer. There telling me it's not getting Def fluid. 😢
I said it on the episode with the blue DEF episode and I'll say it again you cannot throw additives in DEF maybe going forward if they changed the DEF quality sensors monitor the percentage of Urea VS Water you cannot just mess with that ratio you will get a code and it is VERY exact and VERY sensitive they may be able to have some pull with the EPA on future vehicles but they can't alter past emmisions systems DEF quality sensors until someone can tell me how you can put an additive in and not change a ratio that the truck is going to sense
I own 4 Diesel Light Duty Vehicles…..2017 Chevy Colorado Duramax, 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland Eco Diesel, 2015 VW Jetta SEL TDI (dirty One) and a 2014 BMW 328D XDrive…..I have had lots of Emission related problems with The Grand Cherokee (Warrantied) the others have been pretty much trouble free Should I use your product on my Vehicles
Seems to me there should be a guarantee that the fluid is up to standard at the time of purchase. If not, the supplier should be on the hook for the consequences. If not, a simple way to know it's good. I really don't think I'm ever getting a truck with this crap. Keep the 7.3 forever?
@@TheDieselPodcast or those that don’t want to. The problem is removing the emission system is unfortunately really hard on the lungs and carcinogenic. I was looking at the rat studies with soot in the lung. It’s pretty wild how fast it metastasizes. Once you breathe in, it goes deep and it embeds into the membranes of lung. Nitric oxides are another problem as well to breathe in. They say Hunter breathed in too much. Lol
DEF additive scam! I drive a 16 Dmax allot and run a second forced regen right after a normal regen was completed! woks very well! Do this when miles between reggens drop below 600, I have 476k+ on my truck still has the original emissions junk only have changed both nox sensors and all EGT sensors once not that long ago, changed the indirect injector(plugged?) at 225k my miles between regens are over 1000 miles and that increases fuel mileage greatly I get 22+/- mpg on the hwy running 75=80 with no trailer but 1500-2000lbs of payload(tools/parts)
Ya you drive a lot, so you should never have an issue with DEF since it doesn't get old. Now go to diving 5k like people that just use their diesel on the weekends to pull camper and etc. Then see what happens.

How to deal with DEF. EGR block, delete, chip, tune, new open exhaust. Now you have real deisel truck that will last a whole lot longer. No more DEF.

An additive to keep unicorn fart fluid fresh, long live the king!

Yes that would have been a very interesting question to Rislone.

Peak Blue DEF Platinum has an additive in it to prevent crystallization.
@@cwilks5592I don’t believe so. The OWI SDS only shows Water & Urea. (I only use Platinum in my truck).

I’ve been using Lucas diesel deep clean for years and have not had any trouble with my duramax
How much for 2 1/2 gallons?

I am 2 weeks into a bottle of the cleaner treatment. No issues 2015 Cummins. 🤷♂️
@cwilks5592 no issues because there's nothing but urea and water in it lol

Keep your cap tight zero air inside it can dry and flake, Orpheus in injecter is tight any sand dirt debri pouring in just set it off
Is there any comment from the manufacturers either for or against this product?
We will ask!
Not much detail in a 40+ minute video. I rather listen to the guests speak so we can get the info they want to relay.
I agree the host has to much to say but says little to nothing helpful.
Let the guest talk……
BENCHMADE ARE WAY BETTER QUALITY KNIFES... LIFE TIME SHARPENING!!!
They are nowhere close to competing. Benchmade are ultra expensive comparatively. And Kershaw has lifetime sharpening too.
My bank 1 knock sensor is acting up will this help
Nox sensor should be replaced its easy DIY and 150 dollar sensor
Ok cool thank you
NOx sensor? If so no..
Lol the fix is when it all falls off
For those that can’t do that, it’s good to have options for maintaining the system.
