In this video titled EU4 A to Z - Forming ZOROASTRIAN PERSIA As Fars Is OVERPOWERED I do a playthrough as Fars in Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Fars , and I attempt to conquer all of Persia and Khorasan while also going Zoroastrian! So let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. As Ferrara you should make Italy your own personal race track and only take the border provinces of the Italy region. Sadly cars dont exist in EU4, so you need a cavalry focused army composition.
I can imagine the 1k 5th Rome Cavalry Regiment trotting the outer region of Italy leaving horse poo as souvenirs for the city they passes

Ferrara in 1444 is ruled by the House of Este, a cadet family of the House of Welf, another cadet family of the Welfs is the house of Hannover, who unified the United Kingdom under King George III, so why not go and form Great Britain as Ferrara?
I knew something about the house of Este but I didn't knew they were related to the british and germans, thanks for the information.

iirc, religious demands only turn into conversion when more than 50% of your development, or the largest majority, is the corresponding religion, but the chart displays the amount of provinces, not development. It was a weird trip to learn when I was granada trying to flip shia

To accept conversion through rebels you need to have >50% of your CORED land in the new religion. The provinces that the rebels converted weren't cored, that's why it took forever to convert in the accept demands button.

You could call this video a farce.
7:20 - Whoever is claiming an ADM Idea to start is ALWAYS sub-optimal needs to chill out. Sometimes you might need two ADM ideas before the fourth Idea set. It all depends on what you're doing, and not every Idea set is appropriate for a longer, single-player campaign. This comment is more addressed to this page in general rather than the Hawk, who already understands that.
Paradox needs to do two things: First, make a change to the Persian mission tree allowing for Zoroastrian instead of Shia; and second add a "Red Hawk" or "are you sure you want to declare this war" dialog to pop up when clicking the declare war button.
They already give this notification when you start a war without Casus Belli, they might as well add one for one where you pick a Casus Belli.
Man you should totally do an F1 conquest as Ferrara (Ferrari duh), try and take over the European Formula 1 provinces - e.g. Barcelona for the Spanish GP, Nice for Monaco GP, Steirmark for the Austrian Gp. May not be feasible, but would be an awesome change of pace.
Realistically, it’s only 10 provinces based on the 2022 schedule, with one of which you already own as Ferrara.
Something to think about!

The thing with muslim's permanent scholar privilege, it only negate the diplomacy requirement to invite the chosen scholar. So if you are Sunni and you choose a scholar from Shia's school, you still need the -50 piety requirement to invite the scholar. Then you still need to invite the scholar normally for the modifier to be applied.
I'm thinking Furrara? Maybe get the trading in Fur bonus (What does that even do lol, I never play in those regions?)
I had a really fun multiplayer game with one of my friends where I picked Fars and he picked Afghanistan. We beat the Timurids and I went on to form Persia and went west while he became the Mughals and conquered the east. Really fun paint the whole world in all shades of green

It may have been changed, but in my experience, my allies wouldn't join a holy war according to the war declaration screen, but once the war had started I could call them in no problem.

Even as a borders purist I am surprised you didnt take the monument as a zoroastrian for the military buffs
Then again there's a lot of nations to go, down the line another Zoroastrian nation goal could be to own all the holy sites and the monument
This one is extremely hard, in terms of diplomatic policies.
1) Making QQ ally while allying Mamluks
2) Making Khorasan my vassal
3) Devouring whole Baluchistan
We must do these all.
Dont forget Shirvan has the 10% Discipline monument for Zoroastrians, Hawk

Finally, you did something similar to my suggestion.
As Ferrara, since their flag is a black and white bicolor, have the other black and white tags be vassals. (Ulm, Siena, Soran)

you can just declare a holy war and then call in allies, unless paradox fixed that. once the war is on they dgaf anymore
the only correct way is to have several diffrent coalitions on slow boil around you. This is the way.

Paradox should change the formable Persia name into Iran as it is supposed to be the unification of all Iranic peoples (Persians/Farsis included)

There is a bug with the holy war CB. You can't call allies of other religion in the declare war screen but you can call them in individually after you declared the war. So you actually could've used the holy war CB in all those wars.

As Ferrara got siege ability as one of their traditions why not double down on that and try to get your siege ability as high as possible. Offensive + Espionage etc.
And then try to siege down as many european capitals as possible.

10:00 it's all about province development. They'd converted lots of under developed land and so the majority of your dev wasn't Zoro. If you check the graphs page you can see what % you're at.

Good job hawk I wish you would have stayed with the fars ideas they would have been better to make money and dev but you made the better decision to take the Persian ideas to beat up the ottos
