What were your favorite photos!? Put the time code in. I am curious :) Also go follow Ben -> instagram.com/benjaminhardman/
Best photo battle i seen. Come on Chris! You can do better on the SD cards, I’m sure you got millions of pockets lol and Benjamin eyes are so blue he looks like a white walker from game of thrones
My fav photos is 6:50 , 7:55 , 8:38
An artist and an youtuber. Cool.
What a fun and freezing cold challenge that was! Zoom is life.
Neeeeeeeeyyyyy
The shots from the top of the boat are just fantastic!!! Also, this just made me add Greenland to my list of places I want to see!
Ben is super talented at shooting with that 200-600mm loved those shots! Your wides turned out super good really feels like I'm there as well! 4:55 Glacier, iceberg and boat look amazing!
This was actually a nice combination of the two lenses. Would love to see you two switch.
Super fun to see the pieces that came out. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿. Beautiful video.
Also that thumbnail was funny 😂
Definitely 06:48, the composition, color, everything just came together Chris! Btw, would love to see another video breaking down how you edited all the photos that appeared in this video!
I'm super stoked on your photos Chris! The boat shots were so freakin awesome!
I’d say Chris’s photos have a better element of story and detail. Where Ben’s shots are cool to look at but there isn’t much more than that. The prize goes to Chris for creativity 🎉
Agreed!
That's it exactly. Story wins. Hands down. Though. Ben has some cool shots. And he's nice to look at. lol.
But about composition, Benjamin nailed it
Exactly! If I would hang up one of these pics on my wall, I think I'd prefer the tele lenses, with closer angles and isolating shots. But the wide angle ones contains more to it, as in a story
Exactly 🙏
Both results are spectacular.
I prefer the wide angle just because it tells more story. Adds more personal character and perspective.
But the isolating shots are also amazing.
The level of detail and sharpness on these lenses is also something insane. Great video. Keep it up!
Dudes, this is the best. What a great way to capture the strengths of these lenses simply.
This is sooo goood more of this mate!!
Both of you guys are freaking amazing at what you do!!!
Benjamin is one my favourite photographers! I've been following him for a while. Great to see him in this.
This video is amazing! Definitely need to do a trip like this soon! You and Ben both took great shots but I have to say my two favorites are the at 8:38 and 8:40! The winner is for sure you Chris!
I loved all of them together, the combination of shots made for the perfect story. I would love to see a challenge of you both trying to shoot with the opposite perspective on a future trip!
Favorite video I’ve seen in a minute. Definitely more of these photo battles with other photographers
Ahhh thanks so much!
Both lens approaches are great. I was waiting for Chris to figure out the strength of his lens was going to be combining the gorgeous texture, lines and details of the boat with the spectacular environment. Glad you got there! :) I suppose that was a clever way to keep me in the video. Another lesson here...don't sit on your hands waiting to shoot what you THINK is going to be the shot....
Dang I really liked the modality, and probably one of my favorite photography related videos, good job man
Both shots were excellent but I really like wide angle photos with the ship.. bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Chris.. Epic!!!
Both are very good but different. Those Telephoto's are just beautiful to look at while the wides tell a story which is what I would prefer. I'd honestly print a few of each. Awesome shots
The most beautiful shots I’ve seen in so long. Unbelievable.
Wide angle is sick! The zoom is awesome for those penguin shots, but I do love wide-angles to give more context to the shot. I loved the shots with the boats in them
5:03
I love the boat and the context like you were saying. This isn't just a rock or a iceberg but an experience! Great Shot!
ah! This was fun to watch and I absolutely loved the photos. Both of you won! :D
I'm dying. I loved this video so much! I'm not a cold-weather girl, but that environment is epic! Also, 9:30 is my favorite! The boots and part of the mast 👌
I’m stoked you made a video with Ben! I personally love a wide lens but the way Ben composes is absolutely brilliant
Agreed
The last shots on the top made it for me, congrats Chris 👊🏻
I’m living for the wide shots, Chris! What an experience!
1:38 Best photo. Love the layering of the rock mountains fading on the mist. For me, Ben is a goal to arrive as a photographer, I hope to get at this profesional level 😅
Allez hop ! du soutien de France ! 😉
This video really took my mind off things... Breathtaking landscapes and amazing pictures !
Keep on making such nice YT videos Chris ! I'm rubbish at taking "good" pictures, but I've learnt a lot thanks to you, so thank you ! 🙂
i needed you chris when i went to Alaska Cruise 😭 so many good shots
The all photos its amazing, but my favorit Chris last photo... 🙌🏼 GG good content!
3:32 I feel attacked 😂. Great video dude!! I primarily shoot longer lenses, but lately have shifted a bit wider. It’s fun to see how the different lenses makes a world of change.
That zoom is always going to be fun and novel because it's so different from what our eyes show us all the time.
Truly amazing photos.
I appreciate Ben's disposition towards his craft. Respect
Lovely colors!
This was so good Chris 🎉
I don't care who has the better photos when both are so epically ... epic! The sheer epicity! It's blowing by brain through my visual cortex! It's like i'm babbling and lost for words at the same time! Which i am! And i can't stop!
For a little more coherence, is there a video on how you developed these pictures? I love the contrast you managed to create and i would love to learn me some of that too, which in essence means, you guys inspired me. Thank you.
I'm so in love with you both, you're adorable! It was so fun to watch you guys work, and the end result is even more delightful! Susan
Such good shots guys!!
8:40 is the bomb. Great video Greenland looks amazing.
it hurts me say it, but you killed it Chris
I loved how fun this video was! Chris you got him man.
Thanks! I had so much fun shooting.
1:45 1 majestic contrastingly brown mt standing in between and layer of fog in between across the frame
3:03 the side mountains create a leading line towards the epic centered one , great composition and fog adds depth
4:53 i love the contrats of that blue with faded fog up above and layers of some roundish mountain rock in the left
5:55 gives a sense of that window side perspective whilst appreciating the grand biggie mountain
7:46 better than benjamins tele
7:53 lovee it just a di-color brown and fog , and peak not bang in the centre
love this
Love all the different styles and techniques but i gotta say the shot at 2:14 was my favorite because of the detail and simplicity at the same time
Wide shots are awesome!!!🔥🔥🔥
Loved this! You both killed it. The image @2:15 might be my favorite, but @5:11 is right there!
For my part I prefer the story behind a wide angle lens. I think it's more challenging too. Having a telephoto lens is like having "cheat codes", 😅almost every shots looks cool but with a wide lens, you have to be really careful with your composition, but when you get THE shot, it's always a banger! Anyway you did both great pictures, but my vote is for you Chris on this one ;) (Love the shots on top of the boat 🤩)
I love people who put a separate chapter for the sponsor part.
Both of you equally took great shots ....love it🤩
My favorites are 1:37 5:03 and 9:20 but 9:20 wins because of how much story and context it is giving, paired with great composition! 8:53 is also a sick shot!
Love this battle video. Hopefully I can buy cameras like that.
All shots are awesome 🙌 one day I’ll make it there
That was an awesome video. Were you using the 24-70 F2.8?
Amazing!✌️
God thank you for this video like literally this changed my mood !!!!
The tight shots came out amazing but I loved Chris implementing the boat in his photos
I call it "storytelling" A.K.A I don't have a long lens.
Hi Chris, that looked like an epic trip, It is my dream to one day see Greenland and Iceland.
It's amazing. I did it with this company: www.thelaidbackcompany.com/
What a beautiful scenic view... lucky you
Beautyful photos!
Chris 5:56 - showing that boat in the foreground was brilliant IMO
Awesome shots
Ben's photos are really amazing
You both had amazing photos but Im going to give it to Chris! The photo at 8:39 solidified it for me. But definitely following Ben now! Great video guys!
Bens shot at 2:15 is money. But I’m biased. I struggle so much using wide angle personally, so I lean towards the telephoto side.
Your wides look great though! Definitely makes me want to push myself to use more wide angle shots.
Chris your photos have a more story telling point of view, looking at your photos feel like I was on the boat too. Ben's photos are more artistic, focus on the subject, no confusing elements, cleaner and better separation between the subject and the background, but I mean that's the value behind every compressed shots! Both go you guys nailed it and this video just proved it, why I always travel with 2 lenses only. The 16-35 2.8 G master and a 70-180 2.8 Tamron, because that's all you need and a drone. The 24-70 is such a boring lens, I don't even use it for traveling anymore.
geez amazinf
My favourite one of Chris is 4:53 & my favourite one from Ben is 1:42 , now I need both these lenses too!
love these intros
You both had great shots! And please do a video showing your editing process for these photos!
OHHH ok. I can try and do it :)
I think we won by seeing such nice pictures from both of you!
Chris your photos came out amazing my dude 💯 As always. Random question, where did you get that sweater? I neeeeed one 🔥 Keep up the great content my friend 🙌
dude...I think you won Chris! Those shots were AMAZING!! ...Also, what do you do when you get rain on your ND filter? Doesn't that mess with the photos? Or do you edit spots out? Thanks for the awesome vid!
For me (one who is no fan of ice snow or cold) the one I liked most was 9:15. Love the boat giving a very pirate feel, the water looks amazing, yeah that's the one I would wall mount.
Chris you won as soon as you got on top of the mast !
My favourite shots ! ✨🌟✨
Thanks! 🙌🏻😇
That 600mm focal length is out of this world man 🔥
If only i could afford it 🌛
Fantastic
W i d e for the win!
Great video, Chris! Chanel subscrbed :)
It's hard for to choose 😕 but Ben did have room on his memory card for his photos but both of you guys did an awesome job it's hard for me to choose.
I was skeptical of the wide angle at first…. But those were some great shots.
Beginning of video, Ben won; especially if there would be wildlife. 5:16 Ben won. 7:07, Ben DEFINITELY won. But those were Chris things more than lens things. 😂 2:16 is one of my favorites. 5:04 is very nice. Ultimately, Ben’s are more art gallery/hanging on the wall while yours tell a story on social media, and the vlog camera and drone kinda got more than both of ya. ;0) The one’s from the crow’s nest are some of the best, but I don’t think that is eligible since he didn’t get up there too.
Fly the flag 🏴☠️
What a great adventure
0:22 I thought that door was full size so when Chris’ head came to the window looking HUGE I died lmfao 🤣
4:55 this shot right there looks like a Giant Reindeer. #👌🏼
great idea :D
🔥
Have you just taken that footage? In Late September / Early October? Do you know how long Greenland can be sailed like this before it gets too cold?
9:29 is the one of the best shots, it looks crazy high up there 🔥
So what I got from this video is that I actually need a 16 mm to 600 mm lens lol
hi chris in what color profile is this recorded? or is it a log with a lut on top of it? thanks
Love you soo much
It's both beautiful
5:05 when you incorporate the boat. As a real estate photographer/videographer I’m a sucker for wides so I’d say you win!
i love telephoto but in this one, the wide angle did some pretty sick job
Serious Ben Affleck vibe with the hat ! Nice !
I will never vote against wide... but I have to say,Ben is a master in creating those isolated shots that always have a subject..
I'm with you on the wide lens...typically my favorite/goto lens....I like 8:37 the best out of the iceberg shots, but I also like 9:28 for a point of view shot from the crows nest!
